The waitress was knowledgable in specialty drinks and of the entire menu. She was fun, energetic, and seemed aimed to please. The food was amazing! The attention to detail was on point. We ordered a little bit of everything from the menu to truly experience the food, and everything was fabulous! My husband and I will definitely be returning with a few friends in tow! And that's what we got. Right in front of the fireplace. We were able to talk in just slightly above normal forces on a very busy Thursday night when the place was packed! Our waitress, Barbara, was extraordinary and made the evening double the fun. Food was excellent and we recommend the 'all selection' of cheese as an appetizer. Delicious! No complaints about any of our dishes. It was the first time there for both of us. The restaurant and bar were almost completely filled, and even though I arrived early for our reservation, I was greeted warmly and seated with very little delay. Unbeknown to us, it was Restaurant Week, and we took advantage of the special menu. The food that was served was absolutely delicious and attractively plated and presented even though it was a special price menu. The desserts were so good and imaginative. We loved the State Fair Fritter with blue cotton candy - a home run finish to our meal. We will definitely be back to the Columbus Inn to try out their regular menu. The dining room was quite noisy even though we asked and received a corner table for conversation. As a result it was difficult conversing until a couple of nearby tables vacated . Ordered a birthday cake in advance which turned our to be excellent as well but I thought a little over priced at $ 30 for a 6 inch cake. Had an enjoyable experience. The staff was very accomodating as my son requested chocolate milk and mac & cheese that were not on the menu and they made it for him. Food was excellent and the servers were very pleasant.

My husband is a businessman and eats at a lot of fancy restaurants and he said that this was one of his favorites, the food was that good.
