Diner Reviews
  • "No trip to Orlando is complete without a dinner here...but choices for kids could be a little broader. Not that it really matters because they devour the warm Cuban bread, and the churros, and so did we, along with the boliche and the empanadas. So good!"

  • "The nead, the 1905 salad, the potato croquettes and oh the mojitos...we shared a combination appetzer with albondigas, croquettes and a drumdish. Filet mignon and jesse gonzalez followed. Flan and Godiva chocolate cake for desert. Rico makes a mean mojito and Raschel is happy to guide you through the abundant menu. Highly recommend."

  • "The place is beautiful as well as the area. The Cuban bread was very fresh. Service was great. We ordered the Queso Fundido appetizer. Was more tomatoe sauce than cheese and toasted bread was more like a cruton. The Cuban sandwich was good and came with plantain chips. I expected them to be made fresh per order but these chips were definitely not made fresh. No salt. Very bland. The mojo roasted pork was good. No complaints there but I think the flavors could be bolder. I'd much rather go to our locally owned Cuban restaurant where everything tastes homemade and fresh. It may be a different experience for dinner? I would go back if someone asked me to. I don't think it would be my first choice."

  • "This is a jewel in Celebration. I haven't been to Ybor (the original), which I understand is even better. That's quality!"

  • "My very favorite place to eat out... The service is spot on, and the food is out of this world.."

  • "We found Celebration to be so quaint and chose a bit of a different dining option than usual. We are typically more of a pub food family. We are so happy we did. We sat outside. Waiter was attentive and informative. View was nice of park across street. We had delicious meals! You can't go wrong!"

  • "Was able to eat outside on the patio today. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious and the service was top-notch. If the weather cooperates....try to each outside. It is lovely!"

  • "At dinner before we had finished eating a bevy of waiters suddenly started sweeping the floor close to us and then proceeded to set the whole area up for a buffet the next morning. I asked to see the manager and complained that we were still eating. He made a reluctant and grudging apology but said he'd not noticed it happening. It is impossible to believe that this was true as the noise and activity must have made it totally obvious. So I can only think that this particular manager is not interested in customer satisfaction but only interested in making his own life easier."

  • "Columbia was a treat in Orlando. Yummy food, great service, and the music on Sat. Was terrific!"

  • "Restaurant was very busy and we were seated next to a large group so couldn't hear each other speak! Food OK. Three of us had the paella which was quite stodgy and heavily flavoured (smokey meat) so not to our taste. Altogether a bit pricey for a good meal but nothing special for us. Maybe we were just unlucky."

  • "Columbia has a rich history and even richer food - the ambience is romantic and upscale yet somehow manages to keep some Spanish flair at the same time. We started with domestic sangria, which was outstanding. The 1905 salad simply cannot be missed - while everything at the restaurant is incredible, the salad is beyond words. We also had the Merluza "A La Rusa" and the Filet Steak Salteado, which were incredibly rich and flavorful. The Cafe Con Leche was a great finisher to a wonderful meal. I highly recommend Columbia as a great place to enjoy a wonderful meal!"

  • "Loved the sangria and the 1905 salad as always; enjoyed sitting outside for dinner and watching everything that was going on around us; had a great time celebrating a friend's birthday !"

  • "Love yhe one in Ybor City. This one did not disappoint!"

  • "We were slightly disappointed with the authenticity of the menu. Some of the dishes (Lobster Manicotti) were over salted. Also it is said to be inspired by 7 Portes restaurant in Barcelona. I have eaten at 7 Portes and this dish was a ver poor interpretation of what is offered at 7 Portes. This is the second chance at the restaurant during visits to the area. Next time we will explore other restaurants in the area."

  • "Columbia was great choice for 2 couples to celebrate birthday, enjoy great food and conversation. Our waiter was fantastic - attentive but not intrusive!!! He did a fabulous job on salad and Sangria!"

  • "Food was outrageously good, Service was excellent and the outdoor view of the lake was a great bonus. Best place in Celebration."

  • "Columbia has an 100+ year tradition that continually proves that they understand how to operate a restaurant. Their tapas menu is excellent as is their regular menu of beef, pork, chicken & fish. The only issue becomes is having enough room to try some of their excellent desserts! Don't forget to try their imported sangria or mojitos."

  • "We often have small groups of friends visiting in town. The challenge is finding a non-big-chain restaurant at all. Columbia is quaint, full of atmosphere and local ambience. The food and the service were great. It was quiet enough we could actually talk with each other. The price was reasonable. Our guests loved it! We will be back!"

  • "I love the Columbian restarant and its food. The service is suspect, however, due to the constant turnover of waiters. They cannot seem to get it right but then when you eat the food you almost forget about it. Still love it though."

  • "Waiter forgot part of our order and had to be reminded, wasn't very attentive and not friendly - seemed preoccupied. Unusual for most all other Columbia Restaurant experiences. I've eaten at all of your locations many times for many years."

  • "We have never had a problem at Columbia. The sangria is excellent, the salad prepared table-side is outstanding, the food and service are consistently good."

  • "This is the 4th different Columbia restaurant location I have been to and all have always been great. The Shrimp Supreme appetizer is our favorite along with the churro so for dessert. Always see large groups celebrating. A must stop whenever I am near a Columbie Restaurant."

  • "This is the third, and newest, Columbia restaurant we have tried. When we were Florida residents we sampled the original one in Ybor City and the other one in St. Augustine. While this is in the new city of Celebration, it is every bit as good as the others - and maybe better. The original family recipes are still expertly prepared, the Cuban freshly baked bread is to die for, and the Sangria was refreshing. While the building didn't have the charm of the other two locations, it was quite attractive and easy to reach from all the Orlando attractions. In fact, it was far less touristy than the one in Tampa. Our waiter was outstanding and gladly shared some of the family and recipe history. Definitely the best meal of our week in Florida."

  • "Columbia restaurant in the Celebration complex is our favorite dining spot. The menu is very well presented, and with great choices of entrees. We enjoy the special salad, the Cuban bread, and the women favor the Mohitos. Thanks for providing a great dining experience. Rich & Marge Zimmerman"

  • "A great menu to chose from and all of us found something we liked(even picky eaters). Service was good, only small mix up in salads but overall very good and we had to ask for the bread that is listed on the menu as coming with the meals. We all enjoyed our meals!"

  • "Columbia is such a gem! The food and service is always outstanding!"

  • "Very good food as usual! Server was ok! I ordered some tapas to start. She tought that's all we want. She don't even ask if we want to place an order! Weird! I have to tell her that I want to place an order for me and my mom! I now she was busy with other clients but she stop by because I called her to order, she passed by and said if everything is ok and she stop by to bring the check! I was not happy with her service! I know they have visit, the owner, the market manager or who knows, all the employes was fricking out! Beside that the sangria was good!"

  • "Our golfing group makes this restaurant an annual stop for dinner. The sangria, 1905 salad and the paella were as good as always. Try the bread as it is as outstanding as the rest of the food. Get a reservation early as the place is always packed."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our wood floors being installed by dropping in. Our reservation was 7:30 and we were seated very promptly at 7:30. Dinner was outstanding, and you have to try the Sangria! It’s awesome! We were too stuffed to try dessert, but it smelled and looked heavenly! Restaurant has a great and well trained staff and boasts a large menu with stories throughout."

  • "I'm a vegan and for health reasons I can not have any oil. The Chef was wonderful and made me a vegetable paella without oil! It was simply delicious!"

  • "We had a wonderful luncheon experience. Our waitress was very helpful and informative with our menu choices. We ordered the crab cakes at her suggestion. They were crispy and full of crab, just delicious. Next we had the Cuban sandwich with 1905 salad. Both were excellent. We loved the table side preparation of the sangria and salad. We will definitely be looking for a Columbia restaurant when traveling around Florida again."

  • "sorry, but maybe we caught you on a bad night, but we booked for 7.15 we arrived & checked in at 7pm, but is was nearly 8pm when we were seated & then it was not outside as I had agreed at that stage to take any table. Apparently you were short of serving staff, but when we were seated a very nice server came & took out order, then 2 mins later another one came!! The food was disappointing, as it didn't really live up to the description on the menu. It was so noisy we couldn't hear ourselves speak without shouting, so we didn't wait for dessert...sorry folks I don't think we'll be back."

  • "If you're interested in finding an authentic Cuban restaurant, you can't go wrong with one that's been serving some of the best food for over 110 years. Very family oriented and friendly. It seems each meal has a story attached to it."

  • "Menu is full of choices. Food was very good, we all had different grouper dishes. Black bean soup was excellent. The place was very, very busy so I almost felt sorry for the wait staff. They could have been a little more attentive, but they were too busy. Still a great experience."
