  • "Could be partly my mistake for changing my usual order from Steak to Chicken. Chicken was dry and stuffing was dryer. Tried the appetizer Chorizo w/ Onions. Chorizo was cut paper thin which contributed to a tasteless well done taste. My wife's Chicken croquets were excellent. Sangria very good! Bread the best! Have been to three different Columbia restaurants, usually a great experience. I will have to stick to the steak. It was my wife's birthday so I kept my cool for her."

  • "The food here is outstanding, but the wait staff, while very nice, does not provide complete service. The water person was just fine. She also did our salads. No one asked us if we needed any more wine or if anyone wanted coffee or dessert. We would probably have ordered more if they had. They also just brought the bill on one check, when in fact it was obvious that our party was made up of two different couples. I think next time I order from here, I'll just get take out..."

  • "We have been to the Res' on a number of occasions now. It always lives up to its reputation. My only comment that this time you were very busy and it was quite noisey.we were in the main room in the alcove, May be that held the sound a bit. Great evening was had by all. (7 guests)."

  • "This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend whom used to reside in Florida. It was honestly, the best meal we have ever had. We are HUGE Mexican/Cuban/Colombian food eaters and this food was out of this world. The two hour wait should tell you something. I would recommend making a reservation in advance and just enjoy the gorgeous decor inside and out. It was an absolute great experience and the wait staff was nothing but nice!"

  • "Went here to have paella on a special occasion. Food was good, but service only so-so. Servers seemed very rushed, and while the paella was served out into 2 portions - he did a losey job as my wife got all the shrimp but one and all the chicken, while got all the pork and most of the calamari. Would have been better to serve it out ourselves."

  • "Every time we go to Florida we purpose to have a meal at Columbia. We love Paella and it is not something you find just anywhere. Columbia's is excellent, as is everything else I've ever had there. My only complaint is I want to try everything on their menu but we don't live in Florida, so when I finally get there, I always go for the Paella."

  • "Nice but not great food, Started outside, which would have been good, but too cold, and had come inside but got forgotten by servers. Portion size huge, Pollo con Arroz, but surprisingly lacked a bit of flavor. Maybe picked the wrong thing, as what we saw on other tables looked interesting."

  • "My husband and I loved this restaurant so much that we ate there two nights in a row. Everything we tried was fabulous. The service is great as they make some things table side. We got a pitcher of Mojito, and the waiter muddled the mint and mixed it table side. The 1905 salad is delicious, and also mixed table side. The Cuban Spanish food was delicious. The creme brûlée was even torched table side! What a great experience!"

  • "It's nearly 30 years - since my wife and I ate at the flagship Columbia restaurant in Tampa (Ybor City). This hybrid of Spanish and Cuban cuisine has been on the scene in Florida since 1905. Over the last 30 years, I've judged Paella on the basis of the flavours of the Tampa Columbia restaurant. We were not disappointed when we found a newer location in Celebration Florida. The Paella is as good as ever, with new variations. Seafoodwas cooked to perfection, and the black bean soup - as good as you will find in any Cuban restaurant. The prices are very reasonable, given the decor, and quality of the food (as well as quantity). This is fine dining, at a reasonable price. We have dined all over the world and Columbia stands out."

  • "This is my favorite restaurant when I go to the Orlando area (they have others in Fla, including the original in Ybor City). The menu is diverse, from great appetizers to tapas to a variety of meat and seafood cuban and spanish entrees ... wonderful bread and desserts too. And the highlight is always their 1905 salad ... I am a carnivore but I would not miss this salad on any visit ... unique dressing and greens with chopped meat, cheese, olives etc. For the tapas, the lobster flatbread and empanadas stand out. Entrees range from ropa vieja to various paella options, with good vegetarian selections too. I don't drink but my tablemates raved about the Mojito and Sangria."

  • "I am a fairly frequent visitor to Columbia in Celebration (being a local). The food as always was excellent. The service this time around was quite a bit slower than I was anticipating. It appeared there were some large parties (unusual for mid-week) and the restaurant may have been a little understaffed. Wait time for basic items (water, bread, etc.) took quite some time (approximately 45 minutes after being seated) for my party of two. This was highly unusual since service is normally very prompt, This won't affect my returning at all as I am chocking this up to an "off" night, but felt I should provide the feedback. Again, this was a "snapshot" experience, but I still highly recommend this restauarnt as a great place to dine!"

  • "Staying at Disney (in park) for several days. Wanted to try something off-site. Tried Celebration's Columbia because I had been to the original in Ybor City. While certainly not the same, Celebration's location had a good atmosphere and a friendly & helpful wait staff. Arrived early for our reservation and waited at the bar. Seated within five minutes. The tomato / onion salad was outstanding. Main entree of grouper was tasty, but a bit spicy for my taste (though the waiter warned me). Excellent drinks (mojito's, I think it's required) from the bar. The noise level seemed a bit high, but I'm under the impression that every restaurant in Orlando/ Disney is loud. A nice experience overall. And the Open Table folks got me right in, same day."

  • "This is our go-to restaurant when friends and family come to visit. We love eating outside and then taking a walk, checking out the nearby shops afterwards. Food is always excellent and we are always just a little disappointed in the service. Again it was slow and drinks were not refilled unless we grabbed someone - anyone and asked for refills. However, we keep returning and our visitors always rave about the experience."

  • "It was a wonderful surprise! We were hoping the food would be great, but we were surprised by the fantastic atmosphere! The music and colors and movement were just fabulous! The wait staff was fantastic, really personable. And the food...just delicious. My husband had the Cuban with a small 1905 Salad. The salad was bright and filling and the Cuban was perfection! I had the Boliche which was to die for! We will definitely be going back...often!"

  • "we had a 4pm reservation .when I attempted to check in the the young lady at the desk was very rude didn't listen to what I said to her she assumed I wanted to be seated at once. I only wanted to check in. I arrived at the restaurant at 3:40 pm checked in. the restaurant wasn't overly busy but didn't get seated until almost 4:30pm. food service was very slow huge wait between receiving our drinks and bread and receiving our meal at least 45 minutes. the food good but the service was poor."

  • "Fantastic dining experience for a planned full course meal. Don't expect a quick dinner as that is not what the heart of this restaurant is about. Times for the classicly prepared dishes are listed in the menu giving enough time to enjoy the soups and appetizers before your main course. The sangria is a must!!"

  • "I was at a trade show in Orlando and used Open Table to find a place for a party of 6. The food was really nice - great bread! The calamari was very nice and we had a steak dish that had amazing seasoning. The only downside was the service - our waiter was nice - but either he had too many tables or was just having an off day. Took a long time for the entrees to arrive. We had the 1905 Salad and based on the description I was expecting a version of f a cobb'ish salad - very happy with how it was. Prepared table side - I would get again. We skipped desert in the interest of time - but the menu was very big - with great descriptions and stories. I would come back again - just have your entire order ready up front."

  • "It was too cold and damp to sit outside so the waiting area was packed. We had a reservation and waited then were seated at the table next to the hostess stand and constantly opening door. Server was great making sangria and wonderful 1905 salad. After about 3 bites of salad our dinners arrived. Food was excellent as always and we love this restaurant but will think twice about going back on a cool or wet Saturday evening."

  • "We have been to the Columbia many times. We enjoyed a delicious pitcher of mojitos. Always light and refreshing! The warm cuban bread is great!! We love the salad made table side. The house dressing is wonderful and the salad is almost a meal in itself. Finally I had the grouper jimmy. Absolutely delicious! There was lots of yummy lump crab on top. The group was seasoned and grilled perfectly. Wonderful meal. Our server did a great job. He was very friendly, informative and had a wonderful smile. Great evening!"

  • "We stopped in at The Columbian a few days earlier and decided to try it for lunch. Having never tried this type of cuisine, it was a new "food adventure" for us. Needless to say we were impressed as we returned for dinner later in the week. From the moment we arrived and were seated, warmly greeted by our waiter, we new this was going to be a special night. We both ordered things we had never eaten before (let alone heard of), so we were both a little concerned. Our meals arrived with great presentation and wonderful smells - the tastes were beyond belief. We will definitely return to this establishment if we return to the Orlando area."

  • "Tried to make a reservation at 4:45 through Open Table but was told no reservations were available. Time given was 4 pm. Got there at 4 and ate outside. There were many many tables available during our entire meal. We left around 5:30 and there were still many tables available inside and outside the Restaurannt. I don't understand why I was not able to make a 4:45 reservation thru Open Table."
