  • "We have heard many great things about Coltello however never got around to experiencing it for ourselves. Well finally that happened last Thursday night and we were not disappointed. The owner and staff cater directly to you to ensure a great experience. We sampled different sections of the menu and left completely satisfied and full (in a great way). Leading a busy life we were expecting a fast meal however that wasn't the case. The table was ours for the evening and the expectation is to enjoy and relax.....it's a culinary experience something to be savored not rushed. Look forward to the move to Allentown so Coltello will be closer to us however in the meantime we will definitely be back! Highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "We just moved to the area and this was our first visit. We had an early reservation and our table was ready and waiting. Everything went smoothly . Great service from our waiter Mike. The owner came over and introduced himself and checked on our meals. The food was amazing . Great portions and interesting blends of spices and choices. We will return hopefully before they relocate to Allentown. That's still not too far either so hopefully we can be regulars."

  • "We started out with the Crispy Pork Belly, and it was incredible as always. Than since my daughters were getting Pencil Points we got an extra order of Nanas Meatballs. My wife had the Seafood Eggs Benidict and had some moments of pure bliss while enjoying her meal. I had the Ducks Eggs Benedict and was equally as pleased. If there is a better restaurant within 200 miles, I don't know about it. As they say " you get what you pay for" and Coltellos has never let us down."

  • "Thanks to Anthony and the two Michaels for a great dinner with my wife. I had a new item, Chicken Fra DIablo and it was amazing. Not in a sauce but cooked perfectly with many interesting spices. My wife went casual with "Mac and Cheese". Like nothing you've ever had and made with fresh pasta. Congrats on the new awards!"

  • "Must have a lot of return business because every table knew to bring their wine and spirits. Food is the emphasis for this restaurant in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Italian background and cooking but not bound to tradition. A bit noisy but this seems to contribute to the neighborhood friendly atmosphere."

  • "Six of us dined on a Friday night. The men brought out the big reds and Tony was nice enough to suggest excellent cheeses and salumi to pair as starters. We moved on to share the delicious fig and balsamic flatbread (Fichi) as well as The Burg. Next came two different delicious housemade pastas (cannot pass up those meatballs!). All six of us decided to take home half of our entrees in order that we could have some sweets to end the night. My scallops were perfect and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the hangar steak. Jackie took great care of us. We so appreciated her charm and her patience. The energetic noise level in this dining room was good for our crowd."

  • "We have been to Coltello a few times but this is the first review. The atmosphere here is friendly and the restaurant itself is nicely decorated. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu items. Tony the owner is very friendly. He will always stop by your table to make sure everything is to your liking or to explain something on the menu. The only issue I ever have with the food is that I always over order because everything on the menu looks amazing! And trust me it is. I've worked in Manhattan and been to many fine dining establishments there and I can say that the food at Coltello is on par with any of them. Always very inventive and flavorful. Fills up very quickly on the weekends so be sure to book in advance. Enjoy!"

  • "Coltello's is as awesome as everyone says it is! The food is excellent! The meatballs, flatbreads and scallops are wonderful, as is the Bolognese. The staff is friendly and attentive; they go out of their way to satisfy everyone. Everyone seems to be having a wonderful time; it is an upbeat environment. Go, you will not be sorry. We will be back! Be prepared that the volume is quite loud, making conversation a bit difficult. Perhaps when they move to their new location the volume might be improved."

I have had the pleasure of experiencing Chef Dominic's food a few times in the past and he continues to impress me and my wife every time with exciting and innovative flavors. I will never understand how he keeps a Pork Chop so juicy, but every time it's perfect. The addition on Chef John and proprietor Anthony, as noted on the wonderful thank you email have really taken Coltello to the next level. The soup and charcuterie, especially the house cured meats, are a few secrets I have discovered lately. I am not a big review person but I find it only right to thank people who take so much time to ensure a terrific experience"

When you go, and you need to go, make sure to bring an appetite, because you will want to try something from each section of the menu. The staff is knowledgable about the menu as well, so if you are unsure of what to order, take their advice, but whatever you get, you will love. Honestly, one of the best restaurants I've been to in quite some time."

  • "We did not even eat at this restaurant. upon arrival and being only 15 minutes late for our 445 reservation we were told that we would have to be out of the restaurant by 715 because someone else had the reservation after us from our table. How rude I have never been to any restaurant in the world that placed a limit on how long you could stay there. We will we left immediately and will not return."

  • "Word of mouth is working with Coltella's. They source excellent cheeses, beyond anything that can be purchased in high-end markets. They make their own duck ham and a few other specialty items. They also make their own pasta, so everything is fresh and beyond what you're used to. While some of the items on the menu are decidedly Italian (Osso bucco), most of it is just locally sourced goodness and paired with sides intelligently as well as creatively. My only complaint: The music was too loud. Disappointing since we were looking for good conversation to go with our food. We didn't get to enjoy each others' company as much as we enjoyed the food. We did ask them to turn it down. They did, then turned it back up."

  • "My daughter and I have enjoyed Sunday brunch twice, and both times the food and the service were both amazing. My daughter, who is 6 , was treated extra special during our visit and we both very much enjoyed a relaxing family brunch together. It was the perfect way to start the week - together as a family .. Enjoying a delicious meal! I recommend trying coltello for brunch.., the service and the delicious food can not be compared to anywhere else!"

  • "But Not Our Last! It's small & combined with outstanding food equals difficulties getting a table on a week-end. We booked 1 1/2 week prior and were offered a 4:30 or a 9:30 seating. At 4:30 we were the first guests to arrive but the place was soon full. So, "Book Early" it is worth it! Every night they print a new menu based on what the cheif has created from his local market finds. Speaking of the menu, it may throw you the 1st time you see it as it has 7 sections Stuzzichini, Salumi, Formaggio, Flatbreads, Antipasti, Pasta and Piatti (check it out at their website). Don't fret, just ask your waiter for guidenance or to put together something for you from the Salumi & Formaggio selections. It is BYOB so, bring your best. Go! Eat! Enjoy!"

  • "It's wonderful to have the 'core" favorites such as the Nana's pencil points etc, to look forward to but it is also great to try the newer additions to the menu. Whether it's the bistro bistecca "surf-and -turf' (a good combination of flavors and presentation) or the braciola di maiale pork chop, either is a "win" for dinner. Although the chefs will accommodate your palette, try go with Dominic's or John's recommended seasoning; they designed the dish for max flavor. As always, the service is very good in terms being friendly while maintaining a professional demeanor."

  • "Another wonderful dinner at Coltello. This occasion was to celebrate my daughters pregnancy. The owner Anthony remembered the occasion and offered several suggestions on naming the baby..Ant, Anthony Tony (the gender did not matter) and a variety of other variations that I could not hear because we were all laughing so loudly. There was another table of 20 celebrating a birthday and another group of five at another table the entire evening was perfect. Our group of five ordered way to many appetizers and left with a suitcase filled with leftovers......great food great service. You will not be disappointed."

  • "My wife and I went out on a weekday with friends. We had a wonderful time, in part for to the service and especially the food. Everything that hit the table that night was a great bite, right down to the crostini served with garlic and oil. Every dish was cooked perfectly and seasoned to the point where the reaction to the food was an involuntary gasp of delight. The food is obsessively fresh and the menu changes daily. Meanwhile, our server and the owner both described the menu with ease and made us comfortable ordering whatever struck our whim and caprice. We had a multi course meal and were there for several hours, but we never felt rushed. One of our party said they could die happy after this meal but I hope not- we want to go back!"

Our server was polite and attentive and the restaurant was wonderful. I also thought it was a nice touch that they gave a rose to my fiancee in celebration of Valentines Day."
