  • "I have been a huge fan of Coltellos for a long time and dine there as often as possible. Until recently however, I had not tried their Sunday brunch. Boy have I been missing out! In addition to their amazing assortment of cheese and meats, we had several noteworthy brunch entrees. My Dad and I had ricotta pancakes which were "melt in your mouth" terrific. My grandmother's farm veggie omelet with humbolt fog cheese was to die for. My boyfriend's pulled pork waffle panini was so creative and absolutely delicious. And finally, my brother's coffee braised ribs.... I don't even know what to say except that I want to eat them again and again and again! Coltellos is one restaurant that impresses me every single time!"

  • "Our favorite date night dinner place. When we want a nice dinner out, without the kids, Coltello's is our favorite place. We can take our time and enjoy course after course after course. The food is so fresh, unique, and mouth watering. The staff is delightful and has the best recommendations for pairing wine with entrees on the menu. The steak tartare has been my favorite appetizer. Can't wait to go back again!"

  • "The restaurant is in the small town of Crosswicks. It's a small byob restaurant and very nicely decorated. It's an unexpected gem in a small town. The bread and roasted garlic they serve is delicious. The nannas spaghetti was good but quite pricey at $22 . The lobster salad was okay. It had a heavier dressing than the citrus dressing I expected. The servers were very pleasant and knowledgeable but maybe a bit too attentive. I would like to go back and try their cheese assortment and their Sunday brunch."

  • "This is a very smart find and worth finding the time to go. They have an interesting menu with excellent presentation. The meat and cheese selection is worth sharing and the salads are always interesting. they have the same menu every day but change the presentations to make it worth visiting. If you go for the lamb, make sure you have a table in a corner so you can enjoy picking up the bones and chewing on them as well. The duck was excellent. The serving staff knows their menu and even with the daily changes are will instructed in all of the presentations. For me this is unusual. they do not need to refer to notes for the food. If there is a down side to this place is that they are to open on Monday and Tuesday."

  • "The menu was based on a traditional high end restaurant that you would find in an Italian country side. You could choose from 7 different courses. As we were two women we choose three. We were able to try their home cured prosciutto and a delicious cheese from their flat bread selections. We had their home made spaghetti with their famous Nana meatballs as a second course which were just good meatballs. We finished with the pan seared scallops lightly sauced and a huge grilled pork chop with rainbow greens. Everything was delicious but we did not get one extra item. Our waiter disappeared after he took our order and so the cook served us and the busboy also tried to take care of us. We would go back and try other parts of the menu."

  • "This was our 5th time at Coltello's and the first time the food was disappointing. I had the ride ye with fries and the fries were severely undercooked and greasy. Someone at the next table had the same thing and I noticed his fries were. Also undercoked. My daughters scallops were not cleaned properly and we're gritty. Also the scallops were supposed to come with gnocchi and arrived with polenta and server did not inform us of the change. The lobster risotto was bland and tasteless. When restaurants get popular sometimes they lose focus and get careless. I hope this doesn't happen here. Will give them one more try."

  • "The problem you face here is either you need to be very decisive or ensure you've allowed for a long enjoyable evening of high quality dining with service to match. We recommend the latter of course. Regardless, you can only end up enjoying. The menu selections are so vast and all so mouth watering that it's hard to make a decision. And it's no fault of the staff as they explain everything in detail and will accommodate special requests on the fly. It's like trying to choose from rubys, gold, diamonds or platinum, etc. Their appetizers are so darn good that one of us ended up ordering Nana's Meatballs for dessert! Bottom line: Coltello is a dining gem. Don't hesitate to go unless you're allergic to fine food and service. "

  • "Back again bringing 4 friends new to Coltello: 3 racks, 1 osso bucco, 1 pork chop, and scallops for me. The only conversation around the table was, " Um...oh...oh my...ummm". I try to become invisible; I don't share well. My scallops were bright and elegant with such a delicate sauce...remarkable. The racks were devoured, the osso bucco and the chop were also enjoyed the next day! But, what I really want to talk about in this review is the classic Roman dish: Cacio e Pepe...as our handsome waiter, Mike, announced, "Bravo! Italian Mac and cheese!" For as simple as the recipie appears, it is a tricky dish. Bucatini pasta, butter, cheese, pepper, and pasta water= the creamiest, most satisfying dish ever, and Coltello has the touch. Xox"

Crispy pork belly was the most decadent thing I've eaten in a long time. Everything was fresh. The desserts were uncommon and delicious. So so so delicious. I cannot wait to go back."

  • "Thanks to Tony for another spectacular evening at Coltello. The entire staff makes us feel like family. Nicole was our server and took care of all of our requests with a smile. Our friends came for the first time and will be frequent returnees. We loved the Salume and Barratta, complimented by wonderful course mustard. The duck was moist and done just right and was the groups favorite main of the night. We shared the chocolate mousse with cilantro and never had such a unique and flavorful dessert.   • "Coltello's truly is a special place. My cousins and I treated our mothers to dinner there on a Friday night as an early Mother's Day celebration. Anthony (the owner) made us feel so welcome and kindly put together a cheese and charcuterie platter for the table based on the wine we brought. We next had a burrata salad served family style -- the burrata was just gorgeous. We each got our own entree. While we all highly enjoyed our entrees (my leftover osso buco lasted another two meals for me), we all agreed the duck with this AMAZING corn sauce with blueberry gastrique was the star of the evening. We also indulged in dessert which were all wonderful. Thanks Coltello's -- I can't wait to return!"

  • "The service was slow once we were seated. It took time to get drinks, to order our starters, to receive the hot starters (meat/cheese delivered fairly quickly) and then incredibly long before we received our entrees. Our drinks were not refilled for some time either, after they were nearly empty. Our initial server stopped waiting on us after the hot appetizers and we had another server provide the entrees. There was no follow up and we had to request the check and a box after waiting for awhile. The check and leftovers took a long time to arrive. We had spent 3 hours there and didn't want to waste more time on dessert. This was not a busy night. The food itself was good but not spectacular. Would not rush to return."
