  • "We celebrate all of our special occasions at the Blackinton Inn. The food is excellent and the specials are superb! However, what sets this gem apart from the others is the staff! They are the absolute best."

  • "The Blackinton Inn is one of the best restaurants around, you would never know that you are in the center of Attleboro. A very nice spot for a date night or a night out with friends. The outdoor patio is adorable and the food is great!"

  • "My Dad and I took my Mom to her favorite place for dinner, the Col. Blackinton Inn. This place never disappoints! The Inn is beautiful inside and out, the food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. Our waiter, Bernard, welcomed us like part of the family and proceeded to fully inform us of all of the specials in the most deliciously descriptive manner. I look forward to my next visit to the Inn."

  • "The food was good and the service started out good but we as we neared the end of our meal we felt a bit rushed as the server tried to clear some plates that some of us weren't finished with. After clearing all the dishes I had planned to order a dessert but the server disappeared for what seemed like 5-10 minutes. Because of her absence I decided not to order the dessert when she finally returned with the check. We've been there a handful of times and it's a nice upscale restaurant in our town but we may not return for awhile."

  • "We took a friend out to celebrate his retirement and had a wonderful time. The Inn is kept in such good repair with gleaming hard wood floors and lovely bright paint colors on the different dining rooms. The food is always amazing and the service is beyond compare. Our waiter Ferras was welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating. I'll always recommend and return to the Col. Blackinton Inn."

  • "The Inn was recommended by a friend for our anniversary. The staff was friendly, polite and attentive. They went out of their way to get us terrace seating where we enjoyed the sound of live jazz music by two outstanding musicians. The ambience was classy and romantic. There was an ample wine list. The food was outstanding. We both had a seafood dish - clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp in a spicy red sauce. Excellent! For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake and a terrific cup of coffee. A perfect summer evening dinner! I can also imagine dining inside the cozy inn during the cold winter months. We will definitely be back."

  • "great experience from the lounge service, with Ashley to our server, who was from St Martin, everything was superb. Great entertainment too !"

  • "As with its sibling restaurant, Luciano's, the dress code is a mere hope, not even an exhortation, still less an actual requirement. The men in the table abutting us were wearing pocket t-shirts, shorts and sneakers w/o socks. If I wanted that ambiance, I'd go to a health club snack bar or sports pub. Food was excellent, other than the "risotto" being little more than sticky white rice, devoid of any content. It was tasty, however, and absorbed the bearnaise sauce, which is why I chose it as a side. My salmon and lobster was rich; the chowder equally good. My wife enjoyed the French onion soup and her chicken. We enjoy coming here for special occasions, which this was."

  • "The food, service, and timing were very good. I have minor quibbles with both but would be nit-picking. This establishment is as close to fine dining as one can get in the area. I will definitely return at some point in the future."

  • "The Colonel Blackinton Inn is a rare find in this area. We like the way the dining rooms are small with each about 5 to 7 tables. We ate inside even though it was a nice evening but we enjoyed the quiet antique rooms. Outside the dining was beautiful with a "Frank Sinatra" singer. This type of restaurant is very nice with good food and ambiance. Wish we had more like this in the area. The food we ordered was delicious and service was excellent. We were there on a weeknight early so we had a lot of attention. Highly recommend the Colonel Blackinton Inn."

  • "I wanted to take my friend for a special meal to celebrate her birthday, and it turned out even better than hoped. The food and service were great, especially that tasty shrimp cocktail. We decided to come again soon for shrimp, salad and wine on the patio some nice summer evening. It was the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion."

  • " My wife's dinner was excellent. She had the baked stuffed lobster,a little pricey but very delicious. Unfortunately,I was disappointed in the scrod dinner that I ordered. It was a huge piece,it was very bland, and the Caesar salad I ordered to start with was kind of wilted.the service was subperb, and the dessert we ordered hit the spot because of the lackluster dinner that I had. We will still go back,I will stay away from the scrod."

  • "Colonel Blackinton has been our go-to restaurant for special occasions. This occasion was my special friend's 85th birthday celebration. She LOVED it, all of it, food, service, ambiance. My husband and I have never been disappointed at the Colonel Blackinton. "

  • "The lovely quiet atmosphere of this inn makes for a delightful evening out. The food was good - even very good - just not great. The included dinner salad was, in my view, skimpy. I would like them to include a bit nicer salad or not include it at all. Dinners were not inexpensive (the veal "special" was north of $40.) and, in my view, the food was not in line with the price. I also don't like when a waiter fails to mention the price of a special - especially when it is priced above most items on the menu. I have to believe that they rely on folks being too embarrassed to ask. "

  • "I had a friend visiting from out of state and wanted to take her someplace special for dinner. Colonel Blackinton's Inn met my greatest expectations. The ambience made the experience most enjoyable and the food was just wonderful with an abundance of everything. I must complement the service as our waitress was lovely and extremely professional. I would highly recommend the restaurant to family and friends, and I look forward to having lunch and/or dinner at the Inn again. "

  • "A great place for a nice dinner out. Treat yourself and family or friends to a great dinner at a charming and elegant dining experience. Love the food, its worth the money when you want that special place to go. We have been many times and have never been disappointed. Make reservations well in advance and don't plan on waiting in the bar before dinner as there really isn't one as many patrons eat in the small eight to ten seater bar. It is probably the only thing missing, a nice sized bar area but it is a minor issue. Outside patio is nice on a warm summer nite and Sunday brunch is also the best. Enjoy!"

  • "We went to celebrate our 5th anniversary and asked for a quiet area. Although we could only get 5:30 reservations the same day they were able to give us a very romantic spot is a small room. The room is decorated with original art depicting typical New England scenes. There was a rose at every table. We both had seafood scampi which was delicious. It had large pieces of lobster as well as shrimp and scallops in it. The portion size was plenty. The waiter, Bernard, was personable and gave us just the right amount of attention. "

  • "Our Sunday Brunch was fabulous! I found your restaurant through Open Table and it was perfect spot for 8 people from different parts of the state to meet. The reviews were great so we gave it a try. The ambiance, the food, the service - PERFECT ! The Inn screams "Cozy in New England"! We will certainly go back soon."

  • "Thought I knew what I wanted on the menu until the specials were described. Then I wanted each special. It was very hard to choose, however the final entree choice was excellent. Apps and desert were also great. Will definitely being going back soon."

  • "We had a post graduation luncheon on a day which started with horrendous weather and ending up being a simply gorgeous afternoon! The Blckinton Inn delivered a very special treat. Our party was in a private room within the Inn with our own private bathroom!! The waitstaff was very attentive to all of our needs throughout the afternoon. The food selection was extensive- all dishes were well prpepared and presented. We have eaten here before and found everything from the food to the service to be very consistent. Would recommend The Colonel Blackinton Inn to anyone looking for a fabulous dining experience! And free valet parking to boot!!! "

  • "We stopped here by chance a few years ago. We keep returning 8-10 times a year. We are always welcomed, accommodated, and treated as special guests. The historic surroundings are beautiful, the gardens are colorful, comfortable (for a drink outside or a light snack.) The attention to details inside and out make this a special evening and the food is excellent. Stop for a quick bite at the bar for casual or dress for an evening out...it all works. Have not had occasion to use the group facilities...but I would... "

  • "Lobster should be on the menu all summer. My husband had it for dinner. It was displayed on the plate like you would see on tv on a cooking channel. It was baked in the oven and he said it was delicious . I had Prime Rib with horseradish sauce on the side. The meat was so tender and cooked to perfection. This restaurant also has beautiful bedrooms to stay overnight or longer. The atmosphere in the bedrooms is so relaxing. It is not like a hotel. It is charming. You have helped everyone else in your life. It is now time to treat yourself ."

  • "I frequent this restaurant often. On a normal night or Sunday for brunch there is rarely anything to complain about. I went for Easter and this past weekend for Mother's Day. Easter was fine, however I was very disappointed to find the exact same menu for Mother's Day (especially with only 2 offerings for children). Last year they offered special appetizers that were amazing in addition to the pre-set menu. At this visit the french toast was soggy and the eggs benedict was overcooked. I would return for a regular meal but will need to find somewhere else for special events if they don't change up the menu and take more care cooking the food properly even on busy days."

  • "Our family of four went to celebrate a birthday. My picky 14 yr. old ate every bit of his meal, and wished he had more. This is quite rare... My husband and i both had the salmon, and it was outstanding. Our waiter Bernard was so helpful with his recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and will be back soon. It was raining pretty hard when we left. The valet service was great and we had our car in less than 2 minutes!"

  • "A cousin had a second wedding there and raved about it. We decided to take our mother for an early Mother's Day dinner. Slow, uninterested service. Waiter spent most of night talking to his friends at mext table. Food good but not great. Had to ask for bread, water and check. Frustrating for a 90 year old mom. Even the valet was slow. Not worth the price or distance. Patriot Place has better choices."
