Colonel Blackinton Inn - Attleboro
just wonderful hidden gemAlways have a great experience here. Friday nite we sat outside and enjoyed entertainment. As always food, service and atmosphere were perfect!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMSpur of the momentOpen Table gave us the ability to invite a collegue to a dinner on the spur of the moment, searching for us a nearby restaurant.
This facility of Open Table has helped many times- if we find a local restaurant that cannot seat walkins for an hour- we call up Open Table on the phone, find availability of other restaurants that can seat in 30 minutes or less.
We usually book through Open Table, but the spur of the moment capability makes Open Table #1 !! Thanks O.T.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for brunchWhat a wonderful place for brunch.
Nice selection - great food - wonderful service.
Little music combo playing.
Couldn't have asked for anything more!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely the bestI have dined here so many times, I've lost count. The food is always served to perfection, the waitstaff is friendly, yet professional. Col blackinton inn is the place for a casual group, or a romantic dinner.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of our best experiencesFood, wine, & waiter, made our anniversary there superb.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMy Favorite RestaurantIf you are looking for quiet intimate dining, this is the place. The service is excellent without being stuffy. He food is excellent as well. The only reason I don't go more often is the prices. Although they are not outrageous, I could not afford more than special occasions. Overall my favorite place.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful dinnerWe dined at the Inn to celebrate our anniversary, and had a wonderful experience. Service was very attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent! The swordfish/shrimp special was simply outstanding, as was the sirloin. The dinner menu, especially when combined with the daily specials, has a lot to offer and deciding was difficult.
For that 'special' occasion, this is definitely a place to go.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMPure New England, great foodWe were passing through the area and, thanks to the Open Table iPhone app, found this gem. What a delightful dinner! Well prepared swordfish, a delicious perfectly cooked steak and no drama when we asked for a bit of dietary tweaking. This place is pure New England, with small cozy (but not crowded) dining rooms and soft lighting. Fairly busy for later (8P) on a Thursday night, a testimony to the establishment. Highly recommend.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been dining at TheWe have been dining at The Blackinton Inn for years. When it was sold a number of years ago, we were very leary of what it would be like with we owners. We were very disappointed our first visit and did not return for quite some time. We took a chance three years ago and tried it again and were very pleasantly surprised. Since then, The Colonel Blackinton Inn has become our restaurant for special occasions, and the restaurant to go to relax and enjoy wonderful food and service.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first time there and weOur first time there and we will definitely be back. The jazz duet were fabulous. Service was excellent. The variety of food on the brunch buffet was impressive and of very high quality. The ambience was quaint and charming, without being stuffy. We met another couple there whom we see on our Caribbean travels and were able to spend a relaxing 2.5 hours with them without being rushed. Overall remarkable experience.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMOudtanding yet again!!!Three years in a row for our anniversary dinner and it gets better each time Food selection and presentation is outstanding Quality and quantity of the meal is excellent Service from Maitre'D to bread/water girl to waiter were outstanding Highly recommend to anyone having a romantic night out or anytime meal as well A+++4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Brunch! We had a great Easter brunch at the Blackington Inn! The service was great and the kids had fun!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMSalad greens were old andSalad greens were old and discolored. I was very disappointed the salad was allowed to leave the kitchen. I ordered from the price fixed menu. Food was poor. I gave a fair review only because the dessert was excellent.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have dined here many timesWe have dined here many times and always have a good experience. Great food and very good service.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food at the Colonel BlackintonThe food at the Colonel Blackinton Inn was very good and the service excellent. The small rooms in a building that gives the appearance of someone's stately home made for a very pleasant ambience, albeit a bit noisy because of a large birthday table in our room. Overall, a very pleasant experience, and I'm sure that we'll return.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food in a quaintExcellent food in a quaint large old colonial house. Hot fresh bread served which is always a nice treat. Good wine prices. Had shrimp and lobster fra diavolo. I couldn't believe how much lobster was mixed in. Jackpot. I will definitely return. The waiter offered very good service as well.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Best! Love it!!My absolute favorite restaurant. Favorite dish is the Blackinton Filet. Not on the menu regularly. Filet Minon topped with carmelized onions, balsamic reduction and gorganzola cheese...to die for....
Great for special occasions. So nice to return and have your favorite waiter (Debbie) remember what you like and what you order. Really great on a summer night. A true hidden gem. Love, love, love it!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeI love this place and the prices are great for what you get.
