Service was friendly and prompt. Entrees were not life-changing but were very good (we had seafood and chicken dishes). The key lime and brownie desserts, however, were world-class. Didn't end up ordering the more authentic Colombian meat dishes, maybe should have, they looked really good. Location is excellent, very close to Duval Street but just far enough away to give it a quieter, neighborhood feel. Looks a little dowdy from the outside but comfortable and casual on the inside. Prices were all reasonable.

Unfortunately we found out we were eating breakfast at the last shift ever of Columbian Grace. The food was wonderful, the service terrific, the sangria delicious, but the owner of the space is opening a different restaurant. A loss for Key West...

  • The food at Columbian Grace
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 5/28/2013
The food at Columbian Grace was delicious. We started with a variety of appetizers- red bean soup, arepas with chorizo, meat and cheese empanadas and a shrimp/calamari and rice dish in a tomato base over rice. They were each very good, but the shrimp and calamari dish was hands down the best. I highly recommend the steak- it is simple but delicious, and an enormous portion, enough for two meals. The service was attentive and helpful. We very much enjoyed our meal here, and it is appropriate for families, couples, or singles.

An amazing dining experience! The food was delicious and the staff was extremely attentive. The "owner, chef, boss" came to the table several times to make sure everything met with our approval and the waitstaff met our every need. My husband and I decided that during our next trip to Key West we would love to eat there every night . No need to go anywhere else. Our dinners were flavorful and of "melt in your mouth" quality - I had the shrimp dinner and my husband had the yellowtail snapper. The sangria was wonderful! (my mission this vacation was to find the best sangria in Key West.....It was here!!) We ended our meal with the frozen key lime pie - so refreshing!!

I often recommend Columbian Grace to friends who are visiting Key West. It's a pleasant relief from the hustle of Duval Street. My favorite entrée is the Parmesan-encrusted yellow tail. It's a special, but it's almost always available. Zulma a charming and always comes out of the kitchen to greet her guests.

Food was authentic and flavorful. Spicy cilantro sauce served with chorizo and empanadas will not be soon forgotten. We tried the white and red sangria both, and WOW! Best sangria! The overall experience was like being a personal guest in someone's home. Restaurant is a few blocks off Duval so it is a nice, quiet, romantic place. Make reservations if it is a busy time of year in Key West. She is open for dinner 6-9:30pm and brunch served Sat and Sun, think 9-1.

Expecting a more traditional Columbian/Key West mixture. Mom's Grouper Pie dish was disappointing, way to much cheese to give it enough volume. Side order of spinach was only a tablespoon in size. Sangria was awesome.

We had dinner there on our first night in Key West celebrating my wife's 40th birthday. Started with the white Sangria which was amazing. My wife ordered the Bandeja Colombiana; a platter of traditional Colombian favorites. At my wife's request, the chef changed one of the menu items(even though the waiter thought she would be reluctant to do so). To top off the wonderful meal, we had the Caramel Brownie with toasted coconut ice cream. It was absolutely heavenly (and given to us for free as her birthday Present). The Chef/Owner made a point to visit all of the tables and interact which each guest. Exceptional food and amazing service. We had a wonderful experience and are returning for their Sunday Brunch.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Columbian Grace. The food was delicious and well prepared, and the waitstaff was attentive, polite, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed it so much that we made a brunch reservation. We had a Columbian omelette with red beans and spinach and feta, and the fresh bread/cake was great. A free sangria-white or red--came with brunch. AND, the coffee was good, too. Columbian Grace will be at the top of our Key West restaurant list when we return.

An enjoyable first time at this delightful restaurant. Mom's casserole was a delicious blend of fish, stock, cheese & spices. The homemade coconut ice cream dessert a perfect end to a thoroughly enjoyable meal.. only complaint would be the long time between salads and entrees to arrive, but one guest ordered the tamales, which they tell you take at least 20 minutes, so we assume that was why. Certainly highly recommended among Key West's better dining estalishments.

Delicious breakfast but plan on at least 45 minutes to an hour to receive your order. It does state on the menu that it is not a fast food restaurant, so you have to be prepared to wait. That being said it was some of the best "brunches" that I have ever eaten.

The restaurant is a short walk off of Duvall, but it is worth it. The entire meal was outstanding, whether you try the traditional Colombian fare or the other entrees. Save room for the dessert, which is a treat. The service is attentive and friendly. The "word" has gotten out regarding Colombian Grace, so considering that it has a limited number of tables, you should consider making a reservation on nights that are generally more crowded.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Columbia Grace. The restaurant is a couple of blocks away from all the bars and noise of Duval and a welcome relief. The waiters were very helpful and gave just the right amount of attention. We asked for recommendations and followed them. For appetizers we had the avocado salad, and arepa can chorizo, entrees were yellow snapper and the shrimp dinner, and coconut ice cream for dessert. The food is delicious, the ingredients were fresh and creatively prepared, and perfectly cooked. And the ice cream is homemade and so good! Sangria was delicious too. I can't praise the experience highly enough

Our group of three found this hidden spot on Open Table and couldn't be happier we did. Seats a max of 40 or so people. Very intimate and relaxed setting. Front of the house man - Thierry - was amazing. Instantly we felt at home because of his presence. Zulma's food matched his warmth and vibrance. The Cartagena appetizer was incredible. Their sangria is the very best in Key West and a must have by the caraffe. For entrees, Mama's Casserole is hearty, rich and delcious. The yellow snapper with panko breading is light and decadent. And be sure someone in your party orders the Bendeja Paisa - it's over the top with flavor. Although off the main drag, it's well worth finding your way to Columbian Grace.

We had a fabulous meal at Colombian Grace! The food was flavorful and ultra fresh, beautifully prepared, and artfully served. Service was super attentive and friendly, with helpful guidance about the various items available. We enjoyed a wonderful salad of spinach and fruit with a delightful dressing, and then had snapper, lightly breaded with panko and herbs, and black grouper in a casserole style with parmesan. Amazing flavors --- nevr masking the fresh delicacy of the fish. The brownie with coconut ice cream was heavenly as well. In our visits to Key West we have enjoyed many fine meals, but our experience at Colombian Grace was certainly among the best ever. Delightful from start to finish.

This is my second review of Columbian Grace in as many days. The food was so good we changed our plans after our first visit and scheduled a second. As I said in my first review, don't miss Mom's Salad -- fresh baby spinach combined with bits of mango and fresh strawberries plus cranberries lightly tossed in a slightly sweet mango-based dressing. And, after the salad have at least one order of "Delicious" -- a truly delicious dish of lobster in a superb sauce -- no overpowering flavors of garlic, salt or hot spices -- just lots of FLAVOR flavor -- a rarity in contemporary restaurants.
