On our annual trip to Myrtle Beach we focused on finding great food. Collector's Cafe did not disappoint. This restaurant was close to our hotel in Grand Dunes and easy to find, however parking is limited. Once we were seated, the service was good and our server very attentive. I had the butternut squash soup and quiche, my mother had the lump crab cake and salad. The portions definitely satisfied. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch, but because it seems a bit tight, I would not prefer it for dinner on a busy night.

Foodis outstanding! The signature scallop cake (appetizer or entree) is fabulous! Melt in your mouth fillet, beautiful salads, and desserts made by the owner are out of this world. Great night spot, art gallery as well. I had two 11 yr olds with me to celebrate my 50th birthday, and they were wonderfully accommodated ! Hands down the best spot on the Grand Strand! Locally owned.

My family and I really enjoyed this restaurant during our trip to Myrtle Beach. The steak my daughter had was great. Even the kid's menu was upscale! My favorite part was the fabulous artwork and the friendliness of the owner and staff. The owner gave us a grand tour of all the rooms and the art, many pieces of which he painted.

Who else does scallop cakes? These are fantastic! If you're ever near Myrtle Beach.... This is the place to dine ! Everything I've ever eaten here was great. It's been a few years since I've been in the area... But the food was just as good as I remembered.

Went for dinner with my sister visiting from Charleston. Service was very slow. Food was way overpriced for what was served. Nothing out of the ordinary. Nice ambiance with paintings everywhere. I feel the restaurant had an identity problem. Is it a bar. A coffee house. A restaurant. Or art gallery.

We have been dining here for about 10 years whenever we visit the area. The food is amazing, especially the scallop cake app. It is decorated with paintings from local artists and the artwork is for sale. There is one small negative, though, but it is not bad enough to keep us away. The wine comes out a little too warm, and could use a thinner glass. Food is delicious every time!

The premise of incorporating an art gallery and a restaurant isn't unique, but when done well makes for a lovely experience. This is a lovely experience. We went for lunch on our visit. Both of us had the tenderloin flat bread which was cooked to order, tender, and juicy. I tried the corn chowder for an appetizer. Delicious! One big negative is there is no child's offering at lunch. We almost left because of this. They found a solution. However, it was reluctant (waitress/hostess seemed very put out) and was not conveyed it was more expensive than the lunch offerings. This is a wonderful place if children are not involved. If you have children, go else where.

I'm vacationing in myrtle beach and I looked up a restaurant that served beef carpaccio and this was the only one on the list so I decided to give it a try even though it said it was very expensive. I was very disappointed the mustard was overtaking the flavor and I didn't taste anything but mustard. There's not a lot of options in the menu and they don't allow any sort of substitution. The plate that I wanted to order came with brocolini and I don't like brocolini and asked the server if I could substitute for another vegetable and I was told " No they don't do substitutions here". Not enough food on the plate. The drinks were not good as well. Way too overpriced.

We looked for something different and the Collector's Café was certainly that, good ambience and an interesting place to eat. The menu was very restrictive to fish (my wife does not eat fish) - so she was left with one choice Filet Steak, which was OK. So could look to expand their menu a little to increase choice other than fish. Would go back if the menu was expanded.

We had a wonderful experience. It was our only night out, because we ate in the remainder of the time we were staying at Myrtle Beach. I had actually been here before, but I wanted my wife to experience it as well. Her Mon was an artist, and she lost her two years ago, so the restaurant had a very special meaning to her. Her Father In law was with us as well, and his comment was "best restaurant in Myrtle Beach - hands down". A little pricy, but well worth it.

We dined here on May 19 because it was close to my hotel and my son's home. Our server was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. My son has been a server at fine dining restaurants for years and he was very impressed with her skills. Our meals were nicely presented and delicious. The wine list is quite pricey. The restaurant is very expensive so be prepared to pay for the eclectic atmosphere and superb meal.

We've been to CC a few times and enjoyed it. For our 7:30 reservation last Saturday night we were seated in the bar area rather than the dining room. When I asked to be reseated I was offered a table in the "grill area" which, like the bar, tends to be busy and noisy. The food was again good (I had Bouillabaisse, wife had Sonoran Chicken, both had Caprese Salad & Creme Brulee) but the seating didn't meet my expectations. For a special occasion I would choose a different restaurant.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner there. The service was food. Would recommend the beef carpaccio and bouillabaisse. My husband had the Cajun pasta and it was a bit heavy on the cayenne, but overall good. The peanut butter mousse was yummy and definitely enough for the two of us to share. We loved the bread basket and complimentary pesto, hummus and rosemary olive oil dipping sauces. The dress was business casual to somewhat dressy.

Always a challenge to find a good place to eat in a strange town. Open Table certainly helps and finding Collector's Cafe is a perfect example. This is a charming find, nestled in a strip mall (over the years, we've found several great restaurants in unexpected places). The walls are covered with interesting art pieces, the overall decorations are perfect. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable about the food as well as some of the art work. The Myrtle Beach area has lots of good dining options, but if you want a sure winner, try Collector's Cafe.

My best friend and I had dinner on 4/30/2014. She ordered the rack of lamb and I ordered the file mignon. Both entrees were exceptional in taste, quality, and preparation. The lamb was the best I have tasted, perhaps, ever. My steak topped with a buttermilk/blue cheese dressing was terrific. Do yourself a favor and order either one. Lamb came with curried rice, roasted cauliflower (delicious) and fresh, tender sprigs of cilantro. Steak came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Wonderful ingredients. Dessert was key lime pie which was fantastic. Multiple visits over the last 11 years. Never disappointed. Best place at the Myrtle. Enjoy.

Our overall experience at the Collector's Cafe was wonderful. We were seated in the main dining room and all the tables were full. Acoustics not the best so the noise level was a little high. Service was great, our server was very pleasant and helpful. Our party of four enjoyed the entire dining experience, it was very relaxing. The Trout entree was delicious as was the Carpaccio appetizer. I was not that fond of the Bouillaisse, it was a little too bland for my taste. The four of us also enjoyed the Pomegranate Martinis. After dinner we toured the restaurant's various other rooms whose walls were filled with art, a must-do when you go. We will be back!
