Tried the Collector's Cafe and loved it. The menu was so varied the only problem was deciding what to order. Our waitress was welcoming, knew the menu well, and was able to answer all our questions. The entrees we ordered were amazing. Members of our party tried the scallop cakes (more of a souffle type dish), the Sonoran spiced fish, and the beef filet. Each was uniquely prepared. Wow! We can't wait to go back. I also must mention the art. Art work is everywhere. The restaurant is made up of one main dining room and many smaller dining areas. So you can walk around before or after your meal to view the art. The Collector's Cafe is an experience not to be missed.

CC is our favorite fine-dining restaurant when in MB. The staff is skilled and personable. The chef is gracious and considerate when presented with our animal-free questions. We love that the chef is not timid with the heat level of the Cajon Pasta - deelish!!

25 years ago we first cane across Carlos' black bean cakes at a small hideaway on Route 17. He took those cakes with him to Collectors Cafe when the place opened. Carlos retired; his Cubsn black bean cakes are still on the menu. Try them first and then anything else, fish, duck breast or scallop cakes. You'll go back agsin.

Collector's Cafe is a gem amoungst the numerous chains, bar food, deep fried seafood and other moderate dining options in Myrtle. Very cool atmosphere with lots of great paintings. Even kids get a highend healthy menu. Finish off a great meal with a selection of delicious desserts.

Service was a bit slow and the restaurant was not busy. One of our steak orders had to be sent back because it was undercooked. I had the spiced fish dish and while the beans were fantastic the fish itself was overcooked. the restaurant environment is very unique and neat. However I was expecting more for the amount of money we paid.

Our dinners were very good. I had the lamb and my husband had salmon. The sauces for each dish as well as the food itself was nicely seasoned. We shared a salad which had apples and candied walnuts and this too was very tasty. We loved the tiramisu. My lemon drop martini wasn't as sweet as I had expected but the waitperson gladly took it back and added more simple syrup to it. We would definitely come back here next time we are in Myrtle Beach.

Poor service! It took them 25 minutes to serve a glass of water after we sat down. Once we expressed our dissatisfaction, she was good, was trying to over compensate. Crab cakes were good, had lump crab meat. Scallops cake was excellent`huge portion as a starter. Lamb and salmon dishes were very good as well. Orange browny topped it up. Initial poor service left a little dent, otherwise a great experience as far as food is concerned. The display of paintings all over the restaurant makes it a special place.

On our annual trip to Myrtle Beach we focused on finding great food. Collector's Cafe did not disappoint. This restaurant was close to our hotel in Grand Dunes and easy to find, however parking is limited. Once we were seated, the service was good and our server very attentive. I had the butternut squash soup and quiche, my mother had the lump crab cake and salad. The portions definitely satisfied. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch, but because it seems a bit tight, I would not prefer it for dinner on a busy night.

Foodis outstanding! The signature scallop cake (appetizer or entree) is fabulous! Melt in your mouth fillet, beautiful salads, and desserts made by the owner are out of this world. Great night spot, art gallery as well. I had two 11 yr olds with me to celebrate my 50th birthday, and they were wonderfully accommodated ! Hands down the best spot on the Grand Strand! My family and I really enjoyed this restaurant during our trip to Myrtle Beach. The steak my daughter had was great. Even the kid's menu was upscale! Went for dinner with my sister visiting from Charleston. Service was very slow. Food was way overpriced for what was served. Nothing out of the ordinary. Nice ambiance with paintings everywhere. I feel the restaurant had an identity problem. Is it a bar. A coffee house. A restaurant. Or art gallery.

We have been dining here for about 10 years whenever we visit the area. The food is amazing, especially the scallop cake app. It is decorated with paintings from local artists and the artwork is for sale. There is one small negative, though, but it is not bad enough to keep us away. The wine comes out a little too warm, and could use a thinner glass. Food is delicious every time!

The premise of incorporating an art gallery and a restaurant isn't unique, but when done well makes for a lovely experience. This is a lovely experience. We went for lunch on our visit. Both of us had the tenderloin flat bread which was cooked to order, tender, and juicy. I tried the corn chowder for an appetizer. Delicious! One big negative is there is no child's offering at lunch. We almost left because of this. They found a solution. However, it was reluctant (waitress/hostess seemed very put out) and was not conveyed it was more expensive than the lunch offerings. This is a wonderful place if children are not involved. If you have children, go else where.

I'm vacationing in myrtle beach and I looked up a restaurant that served beef carpaccio and this was the only one on the list so I decided to give it a try even though it said it was very expensive. I was very disappointed the mustard was overtaking the flavor and I didn't taste anything but mustard. There's not a lot of options in the menu and they don't allow any sort of substitution. The plate that I wanted to order came with brocolini and I don't like brocolini and asked the server if I could substitute for another vegetable and I was told " No they don't do substitutions here". Not enough food on the plate. The drinks were not good as well. Way too overpriced.
