Diner Reviews
  • "Food is visually appealing, innovative and thoughtfully prepared. Wine list pairs seamlessly with the food. Service is attentive but not hovering. Ambiance is romantic, perfect for a special date or anniversary. Dessert is not to be skipped. This is the place to go to in St. Augustine."

  • "Food delicious, server excellent. Only one problem. I do not / cannot drink alcohol. You had no NA beer on your menu. I was told I could bring in my alcohol free wine but that there would be a corkage fee. Fine I said. Was very shocked when I saw the bill. Right after the charges for the two glasses of your wine my husband drank was a $20 charge for unscrewing my $5 bottle of Fre alcohol free 'wine'. Nice way to show support for people who know they have a problems and are trying to beat it......"

  • "While traveling I always like to find that one restaurant that is so remarkable I know I will return for another meal. Collage is the best in St. Augustine that I have eaten at so far and I have been coming to this great city for the past 5 years."

  • "A local gem in old town Saint Augustine. Food is superb - gourmet taste and outstanding presentation. I highly recommend for family and close friends."

  • "We think this is the best restaurant in St. Augustine. Very small and reservations are a must, but worth the wait. The food is wonderful and wine list extensive and priced right."

  • "We have eaten here 4 times and were always well pleased. We have referred a number of people to Collage and they have always had a great experience. We will continue to dine here every time we visit St. Augustine!"

  • "This is our favorite restaurant in St. Augustine. The chef is amazing. The lamb chops and veal scallopini are some of our favorites. The soups of the day and salads are made to perfection. The atmosphere is warm, not cluttered or crowded. The staff are friendly and welcoming."

  • "One of the best meals I've ever had. Great find! You will need a reservation to get to this place but it is so worth it. We had diver's scallops and pork chops. Everything about it was just phenomenal!"

  • "Food is always consistent - the best! We live in Flagler Beach and when we want a special night out, our choice is always the Collage. Whenever we have out of town guests, we always take them to Collage. It is worth the time getting there!"

  • "Have listened to people rave about Collage. Checked it out on a Wednesday with another couple. I found it overcrowded, as servers could barely squeeze between me and the table behind us. Service was consistently behind; not clearing plates, not refilling water. The server was knowledgable regarding menu choices and the wine list. Appetizers; tenderloin on toast was excellent, the tomato and carrot soup was boring, the shrimp was overcooked. Entrees; two had the grouper and it was excellent. One had lamb, I'm not a fan, but she said it was very good. i had the lobster ravioli w a tail and shrimp. Was so so. We had three desserts and all were good to very good. All in all....okay. but for the price, I expected more."

  • "Scott and the entire Collage staff were terrific. Scott was courteous, attentive, very friendly, attention to details. We had a great time. My only issue is that the place was a little noisy."

  • "We enjoyed a nice meal with good service and good food. The ambiance is quiet and it is a small restaurant so reservations are recommended. Food was well prepared and presented, the seafood grill was not spectacular but the scallops and shrimp on linguine was very good. Seafood chowed was also good. Service was excellent , but the meal comes out quickly. Not much lingering time between course. Wine by the glass is a good pour and they have a good selection."

  • "This was our best meal in a week long trip down to Florida. Steak and lamb were both perfect and the portion sizes were just right; the menu was well thought out and interesting, while the service was attentive without being intrusive; excellent wine list and equally good recommendations from wait-staff.. Dessert was delicious. The restaurant is relatively small and intimate and so reservations seem to be essential. It is in the downtown historic area and the only very minor problem is that the street is in the process of being heavily dug-up .Do NOT let this put you off. This restaurant is a gem and we would go back in a flash"

  • "Obviously atmosphere and service matter. And collage has this at level 10! And then there's the food. Every dish we ordered was not only a visual work of art but an absolute explosion of flavor and perfection in every way. From unique sauces to basics like rice, everything had a specialness to it that caused us to moan out loud in delight! Thank you Collage for such a wonderful taste bud experience!!! And everything else!"

  • "I had eaten at this restaurant before, but my wife was unable to attend. This time we celebrated our 43 WA, so I took her to this restaurant. We had the best meal one could ask for. It was truly a romantic evening for us. the staff were just great. The one stand out was our server Lisa, what a charming, knowledgeable, and caring person. She was a delight. Her suggested dinner/dessert choices were right on. She made our night. Hope you can get this message to her. Rosalie & Arthur Carlo"

  • "I visit the St. Augustine area about three times a year for two days per visit, and I always make a point to eat dinner once at Collage, It is truly a gem, and not only has unique preparations, it has an emphasis on fresh and local. For example, I had a Conch carpaccio appetizer, followed by a carrot bisque soup flavored by local datil peppers. For the entrée, diver deep sea sautéed scallops were served with home-made squid-ink spaetzle, mixed amidst a succotash of sweet corn and diced zucchini, all on a thin bed of roasted tomato puree. And the fresh-baked whole wheat bread came to the rescue to soak up every last flavor on the plate. Who needs dessert, when a bottle of Pouilly Fume accented all the flavors?"

  • "We started with the warm goat cheese and Caesar salads, both of which were very good. Entrees (veal orleans and the lamb chops) were also very good. The lamb was cooked perfectly as ordered and the veal/sauce definitely hit the spot. The potato and carrot gratin with the lamb chops was quite tasty while the mashed potatoes served with the veal were just so so. Service was attentive without being intrusive. We would definitely go back. It would be nice if Collage had a liquor license, but the wine selection is good."

I had the fish special for an entree and my husband had the lobster ravioli with lobster tail. It was all SO good! Would definitely recommend. And, great place if you love garlic :)"

  • "My first visit. My companion had been several times before. Seated within 5 minutes of our 8:30 reservation time. Hostess was friendly and charming, letting us review a menu and wine list while we were waiting for our table to be set up. Server was also friendly, wine and menu knowledgeable. Wine list was very comprehensive. The food was excellent. I had a conch carpaccio (specials menu) and my companion had a house salad. We both had fish entrees, she had the catch of the day (I don't recall what it was) and I had the grouper from the regular menu. Bread, appetizer, salad, entrees all served promptly and absolutely delicious. I can't recommend Collage highly enough."

  • "Nestled away ohh the main drag, is a wonderful restaurant called Collage. From the moment we were greeted by the hostess we felt valued and welcomed. We were immediately seated, our waiter was helpful with selections, and food came out in a timely manner. The filet was cooked to perfection, and scallops were excellent. The owner stopped by to check on all the tables, too. What a perfect, romantic evening. We will definitely be back because there were so many dishes we still want to try. Call ahead and make reservations because this place only has about 15 tables."
