Diner Reviews
  • "We're local and St. Augustine is loaded with good restaurants, but Collage is hands down the best right now. The food is creative and really top notch. The service was excellent, handled by a group of young women who really know what they are doing. Wine list is excellent. Price is on the high end but not to an extreme. High ratings!!"

  • "We had a party of six for dinner at Collage this week and although the food was very good, our service was utilitarian and not up to prior experiences at Collage. It took quite some time to even be recognized by wait staff and when we did, it was "what can I get you" with little personality or explanation on our choices, etc....Fine dining should include fine service; BTW, an automatic 20% tip was included in our bill which normally wouldn't be a big deal, but we didn't get that level of service."

  • "This was a great experience for dinner! This is very small place with a couple of rooms of tables but not too crowded. I was there with 2 beautiful women and we had a very enjoyable evening. We had the scallops, scrimp, beef tender and lobster, all were very good. note: parking is a nightmare and the street this restaurant is on is closed so you will have a hard time finding it. Park in the Columbia Parking lot and pay the $6 to park and stop looking for a place to park. Collage is right around the corner from the parking lot."

  • "The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Interesting flavors blended perfectly and we're pleasing to the palate. The tenderloin bruschetta was to die for. It was the perfect place for a romantic birthday dinner."

  • "The three of us felt well taken care of from the minute we walked in the door. Attentive hostess & server, excellent suggestions and lots of info about the menu. Then there was the food! My goodness, what a delight! We will definitely be returning to Collage!"

  • "I found this restaurant using Trip Advisor and had never dined here before - this is my second visit to Collage within 2 weeks. Both visits were outstanding. This time around I went with my wife and another couple and we all had a great experience. Reservations are a must - the locals know about Collage and keep it booked, I highly encourage you reserve as far in advance as you can. On this visit I ordered the Filet Magnifico and it was truly outstanding. My wife had the seafood mixed grill - also wonderful. The only negative thing about this restaurant is that its not closer to my hometown!"

  • "My husband and I love this place. It is our tradition to eat here for our anniversary. Not once have we been disappointed. Amazing food, service, and atmosphere."

  • "If seated by the hostess station you will experience phone conversations between the hostess' and reservation seekers. We had to ask the hostess if she could speak a little more softly....which she did, however it was annoying to have listen to her chatter through half our dinner course. Secondly the wait staff was OK...the guys, waiters, seemed very rushed to even introduce themselves by name (until I asked ... who are you?) The young ladies seemed more conscientious of proper decorum."

  • "Dinner at collage was fabulous! We had a selection of seafood entrees all equally delicious. The chef, Matt Brown, prepared the dishes perfectly. The food was plated well, we had the house wine which was great. The restaurant is small creating an intimate feel."

  • "There aren't enough positive things about Collage, and we can't wait to go back. The food is superb....the freshest ingredients, uniquely and expertly prepared by the chef. Seafood selections are outstanding. Our server, Scott, could not have been more attentive, knowledgeable about the preparations, ingredients and possible changes to dishes based on personal tastes or needs. The ambiance is beautiful...we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed every single moment of our experience. The only negative was one table of very loud talkers...not within the restaurant's control. Fortunately they left within 20 or so minutes, hopefully to attend a restaurant etiquette class! Collage is a simply outstanding dining experience. Go, and savor!!"

  • "This is the best fine dining spot in St Augustine. This was our second visit there this year. This time we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The food was excellent as was the service. We were treated to a surprise anniversary dessert, butter rum cake. So light and airy. Delicious. If you're looking for a quiet spot away from the crowd this is it."

  • "We went to Collage for our anniversary dinner and it was a great choice. It's small and intimate and we had a private table. The service was attentive and the food was great."

  • "We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary with a trip to St. Augustine, and no trip or occasion is the same without dinning at Collage. The food was the finest we have ever tasted, the wine was excellent, and the service was impeccable. The whole evening turned dinner into a dinning experience. The next time we are in St. Augustine, Collage is a must."

  • "We dined in on Saturday 6/28 as part of our 27th wedding anniversary weekend. We arrived approximately 5 minutes late of reservation time. We were seated in the front of the restaurant in a corner table. All was well until approximately half way thru dinner a large group (approximately 12 people arrived for their reservation.. The waitress re-arranged the tables and accommodated the large group literally right on top of us. To add insult to injury, it looked like this group had already started their pre-party before arriving and were in typical loud obnoxious form. This is a very small place. The waitress told us at exit that they had another table selected for us but since we arrived 5 minutes late, they had to move us. Look elsewhere."

  • "Collage lived up to my expectations. The service, food, and ambience were all impeccable!! The restaurant personnel truly made our 33rd anniversary special. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant again in the near future to try many other tempting entrees."

  • "Collage is a small, elegant gem offering the best dining experience in the city. It's nice to find a restaurant where nice casual is the norm. You definitely need reservations for weekends. The service is friendly and professional. Collage offers a nice, reasonably priced wine list and a menu of seasonal selections and Florida favorites. Some consider Collage a bit pricey, but compared to those charging similar or higher prices, it's way above them in quality. Their house made products and perfectly prepared snapper, scallops, shrimp, grouper and other seafood, make it a treat to eat here. Our party also had well prepared meat and pasta dishes, all of which were excellent. Save room for dessert, you won't be disappointed by these treats."

  • "The food and service were very good. I had the 8oz Filet (EXCELLENT) but to be honest with you I was Not impressed with the house signature sauce that accompanied it. IT was overpowering with a tomato base than one would more expect with a pasta rathen than a delicious steak that cooked perfect. Beware if you are driving to this resturant it has no parking facility or arrangements to park and this can be a problem. Also they have no liquor license but wine beer and champagne is served."

  • "It was very nice to be surprised by finding this world class restaurant. The best meal we have had in a very long time. The service is flawless. Kendall was very nice and met every need. I wish Collage was closer to home, we would be regulars."

  • "My husband and I dined at Collage Restaurant because it was recommended by a friend. We chose to dine there on the last evening of our honeymoon. The restaurant did not disappoint! It was quiet, intimate and romantic. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. We would definitely return to Collage when visiting St. Augustine in the future."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our 47th anniversary at Collage. We both had beef entrees; Duo Di Manzo for her and Filetto Magnifico for me. Both were cooked a perfect medium rare plus. Our server, Kenda, was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu including the wines. The wine list at Collage is impressive and the prices are reasonable. We will be back."

  • "This was our first time at Collage although we had heard about it from a number of our friends. Dined there for our 24th Wedding Anniversary. It was the perfect choice. The food and service were excellent. The ambiance fit the occasion. We will definitely go back."

  • "I was here last year for my first anniversary dinner and had absolutely loved this place. My parents were visiting us this summer and we went back to St. Augustine to enjoy the history of the place, and we just had to visit Collage again for a dinner. There is a wait even after making reservations but it is well worth it because the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and the food is amazing. If you want a fine dining experience in a small restaurant, look no further. Scott, was our server on both occasions, was great and very informative about the menu. I highly recommend this place."

  • "Collage was an amazing place to go for a romantic dinner. The server was knowledgeable, polite, and prompt. The meal began with bread, basil infused olive oil, and roasted garlic. We ordered a bottle of wine,Pinot Noir, that was the best wine I've had in years and it was reasonably priced. We had an appetizer that was on special, lamb ribs in a Korean bbq sauce. A raspberry sorbet was served before the main course to "cleanse our palates." Our entrees were scrumptious! I had the Duo Di Manzo. I cleared my plate and I never do that! The restaurant treated us to a complimentary dessert, the rum cake, since it was our anniversary. I highly recommend this restaurant and have already mentioned it to friends. I can't wait to go back!"

  • "The food was superb, the service was outstanding, and the prices were reasonable. What's not to like? If one is interested in an intimate dinner for two, or to impress a business client, this is the place to go in St. Augustine. I look forward to going back."

  • "All was fantastic! We've eaten here many, many times and it never gets old. We previously lived in Charleston, SC with an abundent of excellent restaurants and since moving to Flagler Beach we have found that St. Augustine offers the same caliber. We love Collage."

  • "While in St. Augustine, we were looking for a evening dinner to celebrate a special anniversary for my wife and I. Collage was recommended and we were not disappointed. My wife ordered the lamb and I had their specialty steak. Both were excellent the sorbet between courses was a nice touch and refreshing. Dinner prices in St. Augustine are very reasonable and Collage was too...including the wine. Normally, you feel like your getting ripped off when you buy a bottle of wine but liquor prices were reasonable at Collage. Our waitress was excellent and the table was kept very clean. We will return and would recommend to others."

  • "Had dinner on the evening of June 21st "14"....reservation time was kept to with in 5 minutes of request. Good job... Food was awesome. We had the steak filet and the seafood mixed grill...portions were good sized so that we were left full. Small venue ...but this gives it a special charm. Will definitely do again when visiting st. Augustine."

  • "We are "locals". In this quaint little town, this is where the locals come for dining that is worth every dollar spent and more. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner for two or a special gathering. From the fresh roasted garlic and warm bread to sorbet to cleanse your pallet, you know what comes next must be worth the wait. I ordered parmesan, brown sugar pecan encrusted grouper and my wife lobster ravioli. Our servers timing was excellent and allowed us to enjoy the each course without the slightest sense of hurry. Its 8:00 in the morning and my mouth is watering just at the the thought of the ordering again. We've lived in St. Augustine for over 8 years and moved from the DC area. Collage is the best restaurant in town."

  • "I knew going into this dinner that Collage was highly rated, but what I didn't know is that this night turned out to be one of my favorite dining experiences ever. We were celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary and my wife and I were just please at every turn of the evening. From the pleasant and helpful service, to the flavors we won't forget, to the wine and champagne we hadn't had before...every moment was a pleasure. Thank you Collage for making our evening one that we won't forget!"

  • "This is me and my wife's third dinner here. The atmosphere is calming, and the service is attentive. The food has always been outstanding. Their soups and bread are outstanding. On our third and most recent visit, the food was just a little off-lacking perhaps some spice and finesse of the first two meals. It was still quite good, so we did not ask for any modifications from the kitchen. I am confident they would have done so had we asked. Desert selections could be a bit stronger and more innovative Prices are moderate to expensive. The menu has remained pretty static since our first visit in December, 2013. We hope to see some different choices upon our next visit. The wine list is good, but we usually bring our own wine."

  • "This was my second time dining at Collage. I had the pecan brown sugar crusted grouper and it was excellent! I had to add a pinch of salt to really bring out the savory flavor but I would rather have a chef under salt than over salt. I had a glass of their Pinot Grigio and it was very pleasant. The service is efficient and professional and it is housed in a charming older building in historic St. Augustine."
