We enjoyed a wonderful evening. Suzanne our server did a great job of describing the meal choices, offering suggestions and listening to our questions. She was attentive but not intrusive. I had a lovely Caesar salad then the Lamb which was exquisite. The presentation of both items was beautiful. The lamb was served with a feta or goat cheese truffle that was delicious. The potatoes was a layered item that was thoroughly enjoyable. There were perfectly cooked vegetables as well. My husband had the Filet Mignon with Asparagus and a tasty hollandaise sauce. We shared the lemon tart with raspberry sorbet for dessert which was delightful for the taste buds. The ambiance was rich but not stuffy. I look forward to dining there again.

When Sofitel operated Chez Colette it was wonderful. Today it is a shadow of its past. Service spotty. Food unforgettable. After ordering a salad nicoise I asked to cancel that part of my order. I was told it was too late (and too bad). Salad was not served to me for at least half an hour later (I had to wonder how long the tuna sat out). Had taken a friend there for a birthday; I was chagrined to have taken him there. I had also ordered French onion soup (good!), and wanted it served last when my friend's entrecôte steak was served. The waitress never asked my order preference. Another "too bad." And the $29 entrecôte was no better than $12 at Outback. This used to be a special occasion restaurant for me. I'll never go again. How sad!

Colette used to be our favorite place, but now since SHERATON has taken over, we probably will not return. Breakfast waffle was small, and soggy and included no extras to enhance the appearance (change from the past). Server rudely refused my Dining card which does not expire until October 31st. Just not the same.......

I had a business lunch there on a Friday. It was very quiet -- not much going on. Few tables filled. (Of course, Colette's is in the Sheraton Hotel and most business travelers have departed in the morning on Friday. It used to be a Sofitel -- has the brand change made a difference for the restaurant?) The food was very very good and the service was excellent. I'd like to see them doing more business. This is a great place for a business lunch if you'd like to be able to converse normally and not have to scream at each other -- like at Ciao Bella and numerous chain American dining spots.

Took my husband to Colette for his birthday since he loves escargot! It was a lovely, quiet spot for a relaxing dinner. The escargot was delicious. The service was prompt and the wait staff was very keen to point out gluten-free items for me. I loved the scallops and the plate was gorgeous with some interesting taste combinations.

Was looking forward to the Fr. ambience of the former Chez Colette and a romantic birthday dinner for my husband. He seated us within viewing distance of the big screen tv in the bar; then he seated a couple next to us, when there were several other vacant tables available, and the man took a call on his cell phone for a 5 min. call. The waiter was very intrusive, which was very annoying. The menu has a lot of interesting fish items, but the sauces are laced with bacon or some pork derivative, which is not appealing. There should be a "Taste of Paris" with option of 2 veggies or sides, so you can opt out of dessert. It was a disappointing experience.

I first ate at this restaurant 20 years ago, and fell in love with it then. I have been back just a few times since then, but each and every time is as wonderful as the last. This time, I was able to bring my 3 children along, and they were treated like royalty. They have repeatedly said it was the "best supper EVER" and have asked us to go back every night since. I'm so thrilled that they loved it as much as I always have, and am eager to return again as soon as we are able. Merci beaucoup for yet another outstanding dining experience!

We took my parents out for Sunday dinner. Didn't realize it would be a brunch menu. Service was painfully slow, yet we had a really nice waiter. Coffee refills almost impossible to get without asking. Egg white omelette with goat cheese, spinach, and roasted red peppers was okay. Crab cake Eggs benedict and make your own omelette were fine. A little more garnish or something would spruce up the plate. We have dined here for years..just hard to see the decline. They are trying and I would return with an older couple because the atmosphere is nice and quiet. There seemed to be several other diners with their older parents too.

Food pleased everyone at my table. We arrived at 11:30 and would have liked the breakfast menu, but the salads were excellent. The service was not good. It was hard to catch her eye. She dropped a used knife in the lap of one and barely noticed. She wanted to finish up while one was still eating. The square plates are too large for the tables.

THE MENU IS THE SAME, WITH MANY EXCELLENT CHOICES. THE AMBIENCE IS ALSO AS IT HAS BEEN FOR YEARS, AND THE STAFF MEMBERS WERE GRACIOUS AND EFFICIENT. WE WERE BOTH VERY PLEASED TO DISCOVER THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE IS STILL AS IT HAS BEEN FOR YEARS.

During the pre-booking research that I did (reviews, dining polls, etc.), I noticed several comments regarding the fact that the Sofitel was now a Sheraton and how that might result in negative changes for the for the on-site restaurant. I'm happy to say that we didn't encounter anything negative all night, and based on our meal and the service we received, we'd happily return to Colette even if it were attached to a Menard's! Both server and kitchen were in top form - no Sunday night B-squad working here. Our server was gracious and very engaging. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted even better. The best lamb I've had in years!! Reasonably priced wine list. Good desserts. Looking forward to a return visit, hopefully soon.

Excellent food and service! I had the lamb, and it was the best I had in years! The chop melted in my mouth. My wife had the scallops and the were cooked perfectly and served on a bed of truffle mashed potato that was to die for! The food was so good we ended up having desert (something we don't often do) and the crime brulia (sp) was perfection. Our waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable of the food and enhanced our experience. We will definite eat here the next time we are in town.

The place wasn't packed and I knew from the delivery of the ice water that this was going to be a poor experience. Staff was unprofessional and at times somewhat rude. When asking if we could change a side dish, the waiter was abrupt and rude with his response. We waited 1.5 hours (no joke) for the food to arrive and with almost no checking in or explanation from the waiter. We had to flag him down to get him to take notice of us. When my order arrived the fish was over cooked and inedible. I'm usually not one to complain about my food. My wife tried and agreed. For the price we paid we needed to say something. The manager did come out and apologize and offer us free desert, but by this time we just wanted to get our check and get home.

I wanted to take my significant other somewhere nice this valentines day, and I like trying new places, and we've never been here before, so Colette it was! Upon arrival, it looked like it was going to be a good choice for a valentine's day dinner: low lights, candles at the table, a fireplace...overall some nice touches. We get seated right away (we had reservations) and the waitstaff immediately brought out the waters and bread, which I like. Our waiter was great--incredibly friendly and helpful with the menu. I watched him deal with an unhappy customer with professionalism and courteousness...This guy could teach a master class. Anyways, the food was very good, and the portions are exactly right. Would go again.

The food was good but the service was lacking. They were quick for the drink order. We had way too long to look at a menus before someone showed up to take an order. The soup came quickly but it was a whopping 50 minutes between the soup and anything else. Steak was served with a butter knife, as they were "out" of steak knives. Steak knife and risotto showed up 10 minutes later. Staff disappeared again even though our wine bottle went empty along with the water glasses. When someone finally stopped to ask if we wanted anything else we were long done with the meal. I have to say the bill was very prompt.

Went to Chez Collette for Valentine's Day and ordered off the pre fixe menu that had been set for the occasion. $69 per person. For that we got four courses and a glass of champagne each. The first came garnished with a mandarin orange that clearly came from a can. The second course was inedible. The third, the entree, was cooked well but was plated onto a pre-prepared plate so the potatoes were cold. We still haven't been offered our glass of champagne when this course is over we asked for it with our dessert. Dessert was awful. Again prepared far in advance, the cake was stale and the fruit soggy. When spending what ended up to be over $200 for a meal I want to get a WHOLE LOT MORE out of an experience than this. Will not return.

When one goes to a restaurant connected to a mid tier hotel, expectations are low for good food. The food was surprisingly good at this restaurant. Most notable was the asparagus with Bearnaise sauce, halibut, filet mignon, and french onion soup. Presentation on the plate was also exceptional. The accompaniments for the entree---fingerling potatoes and risotto not so much. Overall, the important food was very well done. We did not try the desserts so can't comment on the desserts. Wine list was very limited for french wines. Have to say that the service was outstanding given that it was Valentine's Day. Prices were reasonable for french food. We will definitely return!

Colette's menu offers a nice variety of entrees, salads and sides. Presentation is quite good, and the portions are large. I could not finish either my salad or my entrée. My wife's scallops were delicious. My selection was the "Risotto-Like Paella." It was very good but it was Risotto-not-at-all like paella." Why not call it risotto and leave it at that? All in all, a worthwhile dining experience. we will return.
