Colette bar & bistroReliable favoriteGuaranteed to please every time. Food is terrific, service is friendly and attentive. Always a special treat.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood experienceOne of our favorite places--we go regularly are are never disappointed.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMfamily brunch for 10We were seated in the bar room in a large booth with an oval table for our 11am brunch. It was likely less crowded by then, but we were also secluded from the main dining room, which allowed conversation from one end of the table to the other---so very rare in any restaurant. This table helped make the entire brunch delightful.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our meal -- thisWe enjoyed our meal -- this is a regular brunch spot for us -- but service was a little slow this time. We also prefer the hash browns to the new type of potatoes and wish juice was still included with brunch.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place to DineThis is consistently a great place to dine.......whether it is for lunch or dinner, a special occasion, or time with friends..........5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent! This is one of my favorite spots!! I brought a group of friends and all of them were very impressed with food, service and dining experience in general. Our waitress was really thorough and even had the chef prepare a salad option that was not on the dinner menu per our request.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA worry about seatingEven though we had reservations, my daughter and I were seated at one of the banquet seat tables, on the "curve". Because she went in a few minutes ahead of me, and was therefore already seated when I arrived, I said nothing about finding a more private or comfortable table. My daughter is of mixed race, and I apologize but, my first thought when I arrived was if we would have been given a more comfortable spot if I had gone in first.
The service was excellent, the food delicious, the waitress charming.
Thank you.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Mother's Day buffet wasThe Mother's Day buffet was extraordinary. Perfect portion sizes made tasting a wide variety of foods easy, and generous servings of favorites (the lamb, the shrimp, the roast beef) was fabulous. My father also enjoyed all three varieties of salmon, and the extra touch of delivered flowers at the table (through Open Table's vendor) made the event special for Mom and Grandma.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Day BrunchFirst visit to Colette. We all enjoyed the Food and presentation immensely. There was an incredible variety of items, and the vegetarians in our group were also very happy with the choices they had. The dining room didn't feel crazed, and we could talk in normal tones. Our only complaint was the lack of service we received from our primary waiter. We had to ask for each refill of coffee, and he did not check in very often. Towards the end of our meal, the second server in our section started to help us, what a difference. She was attentive, answered our questions about the restaurant etc. She clearly enjoyed her job. We will return for their regular brunch and I think my mom has decided it's our new go to Mother's Day Restaurant.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchWe were very excited to go to Colette for Mother's Day. It was our first time. The food was excellent. The variety was staggering!! The service was good. It did not feel crowded.
NOTE: Be sure your reservation is well before 1:00 or get dessert first. They stopped refilling the desserts at 1:30. When we went to get our dessert, the selection was down to about 6 items. When we arrived it was full of amazing desserts. This is my biggest issue with Mother's Day Brunch at any restaurant. We paid the same as everyone else--$54 per person, we should get the same selection. Also, they were starting to clean up the restaurant while we were still eating. It made us feel rushed to finish.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMgood breakfast at L'Hotel SofitelWe had a good breakfast for 4 for $100. The goat cheese omelets were excellent. Freshly baked bread. We had a very competent waitress.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMVery surprisedWe had to make a quick decision on dinner, our Mother was staying at a hotel near 100 and 494, and Collete popped up. We couldn't have more surprised, I don't know how we haven't heard of this sooner. The service and food was exceptional.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good service and theVery good service and the food was delicious. Great spot for a conversation over our
breakfast.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster Brunch at ColetteWe visited Colette for Easter Brunch. The presentation and food selection were excellent. Food was delicious. We would recommend their special occasion brunch.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was like a fine FrenchThis was like a fine French restaurant from bygone days.
If you want fine dining they're few true spots in the Twin City area
that fit, this is one of them.
Excellent cuisine.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AM5-star cuisineAll four of us enjoyed our meals thoroughly. We've been to Colette many times and have never had a bad experience. Consistently great food! Chef Mark knows what he's doing. The food is delicious, and the presentation is amazing!
My husband did not like the lamb shank, but he never said anything about it until after we left the restaurant. He told me it was chewy and not soft at all. If he had complained to the kitchen, I'm sure they would have made it right.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place! We love Colette. Great staff, super-attentive, service is quite European (as you'd expect) and the food is wonderful. Very French, actually quite authentic. It's a great place to settle in for dinner and take your time. My husband and I have had some wonderful conversations that migrated to the bar and into the night. Love it.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a wonderful placeThis is a wonderful place to dine. I love going there for brunch, especially. I really like the eggs benedict. Everything is always fresh and delicious.1/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
