Visiting overnight from Columbus to celebrate birthday and reconnect with friends. Even though first timers to restaurant we were treated like longtime regulars by a very welcoming staff. Ordered new favorites from a nicely priced wine list. Vegan risotto was a hit but the spicy sauce accompanying the bistro filet was the standout. Desserts were lovely and properly sized to enjoy. Would recommend Coco's without hesitation.

my wife and I had dinner here for our anniversary, the food and wine were wonderful and it was quiet on a weeknight which we enjoyed. The server brought us dessert as a gift to celebrate and shook my hand. This was our first time here and it was great, we will definitely be back and recommend coco's to anyone looking for a quality romantic meal in or near downtown dayton.

I liked the restaurant. The food was great, I ordered the Ribeye steak, with all the nessecities, and my girlfriend ordered the Shrimp scampi ravioli. Both tasted very good. Noise was quite loud at times but wasn't too bad. Good service as well, we didn't wait long at all for our food. We really enjoyed ourselves, and will definitely return.

  • Busy Sat Night

We had a reservation on a Sat night for 6:45p.m. We had a group of 6 people. When we arrived the place was lively but there were lots of open tables still. It did fill up over the next hour. It was very loud and hard to have conversation. The good was very good! Our server was ok. He really tried. He was too strung out though and we had long, long waits for refills and for salads and it took forever for our meals. We were there about 2.5 hours and we didn't have drinks or dessert. I've been here for lunch and the food is excellent and it's quicker. You aren't rushed, but the pace could be a little faster! You need more servers and kitchen help on weekends. We'll try again!

This was our second time at Cocos Bistro. We were so enchanted with the atmosphere & wonderful food the first time that we wanted to come back for our date night. This second visit was a disappointment. Service was terrible & we think that is why our food was NOT hot when she brought it to our table. We liked our entrees but wished they were hot instead of luke-warm. We wanted dessert but it took so long for her to return to our table that we were out of the notion. So even though our second trip was not pleasant we will try again mainly because we like to support local restaurants.

We enjoy dining local and wanted to treat our college student. Friendly front desk staff with owner present. Nice choice on the menu from start (Fried Brie) to finish (lemon tart & cheesecake) We really enjoyed the sides. Had to send rare steak back. It was not cooked the second time either. The owner must have witnessed boxing it up without being touched and inquired. She comped the entre plus dessert, nice touch. The waitress was a bit overwhelmed on this busy evening. We would go back, just not on UD Family weekend.

In town for business, this was another Open Table "adventure" for me to avoid eating at a chain. Varied menu, local sourcing, other diners seemed happy, and the outdoor patio crowd was lingering. Nice wine by glass list, and my pizza Margherita had an excellent brick oven crust. Easy parking too. I'll go back next time I'm in town.

On a Saturday night at 8 PM it was loud; however, my boyfriend and I didn't mind the noise level, but I think my parents would have found it too loud. Service was EXCEPTIONAL. Our waiter was empowered to make decisions (i.e., give us a free appetizer) to make our experience amazing. Food was very good too. My boyfriend is a traditional "meat and potatoes" kind of guy, and he easily found something he liked. I like trying new things and had enough options to choose from, as well.

I took my former boss (I'm retired now) and my best friend from work to lunch at Coco's. It was the perfect choice! The staff took care of my request for a table in a quiet area so that we could catch up since it has been a while since we've been together. Lunch was delicious. Each of us kept topping the other with superlatives about our individual meals. The service was superb...attentive to our needs without hovering. I would recommend Coco's to others as well as plan a return trip soon myself.

We found the food to be very good overall. The ahi tuna was excellent, and the pasta special was quite good as well. We were there on a busy Friday night, and service was very slow. Definitely below expectations. The restaurant offers good quality food in an area that lacks many of those options being a college campus. We will definitely plan to return!

When in Dayton, we always try to fit in a dinner at Coco's Bistro. We've been there three times now, and each has been a great experience. The menu is creative, and the food is always delicious. At this week's visit, our group had entrees of shrimp ravioli, trout and filet mignon. No appetizers this time, but we did enjoy dessert of creme brûlée and cheesecake. Service is always professional and attentive. Kudos to Coco's Bistro for delivering a consistently enjoyable experience.

Never having been to Coco's before, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was extremely pleased with the quality of service and the quality of food. Our waitress was prompt, pleasant, and always had a smile on her face. The food was beautifully presented, and delicious as well. Even though it seemed to be a busy evening for Coco's the noise was not distracting, nor was it difficult to hear the other people at our table. As for the little details, my daughter and I were splitting an entree, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Coco's divided the entree for us, presenting it on two separate plates. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Last year we had a wonderful experience here for our anniversary. I'm not sure if it was the caliber of the staff has changed but the food was not anything special although the menu gets you excited for an exceptional meal. Our service was extremely poor. We received our appetizer and salads quickly but then waited almost 45 minutes for our main meals which were not even hot. We were offered complimentary dessert for our long wait (last year we received this as a celebration of our anniversary). We waited an additional 20 minutes only to receive 1 dessert. We took it to go. Our check came quickly though.

I was very excited to eat at Coco's Bistro-the menu read amazingly. I enjoyed the atmosphere; dark, multi-room, multi-level and fun cheetah carpet. Service was good. Our waitress was attentive and we never had to ask for anything, but the visit itself was LONG-almost 2.5 hours-and not because we took our time. We went during restaurant week, so it was a limited menu- selections happened quickly. I ordered the filet, which is what I would've ordered without a limited menu. We also ordered an additional appetizer and different dessert for an up-charge. The fried brie was delicious, but I wish there would've been more than bread as a side; apples, pears, nuts, etc. Filet was just okay. I asked for medium and it was definitely rare. And tough.
