Diner Reviews
  • "I had reservations for 5 pm and easily made it to a 7 pm show at the Schuster. My party of 3 was able to have a leisurely dinner, but skipped dessert. Stephen was an attentive server and our food was excellent! What a great way to start the week! We will be back!"

  • "We were so thrilled to hear that Chef Mitchell was back! We are not local, but the 45 minute drive is worth it. Wonderful service, delicious creative recipes unlike anything around! You will certainly see us there every month(at least) ;) "

  • "Great food. Great prices. Phenomenal wine list. Great brie. It's funny. People in Ohio tend to think of the food here as expensive, but in the Chicago area, the same food would be about twice the price. With outstanding appetizers, complex and flavorful entrees and decadent desserts Coco's has it all. "

  • "I enjoyed my dining experience. But it was so loud I couldn't hear myself talke. Maybe because it was during lunch time. I am going to come back in the evening for dinner. Our waiter meant well but his service was not the best."

  • "The Kila Cava champagne was fantastic, the waitress was very efficient. The Caesar salad was my dinner however and to my dismay the cheese was some type of toasted cheddar tasting sheets broken up over the top. The dressing was on the skimpy side I could hardly taste any of the dressing on it...the sheets of broken toasted cheese on the Wonderful Salad was a huge Miss for a salad that is KNOWN for fresh parmesan and Dressing.. I won't order that anymore."

  • "Coco's was a great restaurant for our date night. The food was fantastic! The honey balsamic dressing .. do yourself a favor and venture outside of the ranch category. The lighting was perfect and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our waitress was a little flustered with all her tables being sat at once but overall she held it together well."

  • "The main focus on customer service was absent the night we went. From the poor, ignored greet from walking in a server was discussong a issue to the host while we were standing there. The server did not reach our table for 5 minutes, with water or a greet. The upside is that the food was ."

  • "The food was delicious, with items on the menu being very different and not what you would get at a regular restaurant. The server was very busy and we waited a long time to be greeted, for our appetizers, for our salads, for our dinner, and for every drink we ordered. The restaurant was full, so I understand. However, it should not take 5 minutes to even be greeted."

  • "As always the food at Coco's was delish. I usually love to get drinks at Coco's, but did not end up drinking because the bar was out of some of the ingredients for 2 of the featured cocktails (the girlie types that I like)."

  • "This was our first time to eat at Coco's. As a group of six, I thought we would present a challenge. The service was very good and the menu had a nice variety from which to choose. It's great to see a local restaurant thriving. We will definitely return."

  • "Our group of four had a totally enjoyable time! We arrived a little early so we cold have a drink in the bar. Both bar tenders were friendly, the service and drinks were spot on. They also new the menu which helped me in my dinner choice. The great service did not end after being seated! Our waitress was also knowledgeable, friendly and with just the right amount of humor. She was there when yo needed her. As good as all that was....the food was even better! I can't wait to go again!!!"

  • "Ancho-cocoa-dusted scallops, with cherry chutney, for an appetizer. Wow. And amazing cocktails. Very tasty and eclectic menu with QUALITY vegetables accompanying the entrees, which were not too large and not too small. Wait staff all around us was attentive and knowledgeable. We will be back soon."

  • "My wife an I went on Restaurant week and knew it would be busy. It was, but every single one of the staff made us feel like we were the only patrons there. The food was excellent. I highly recommend this place. My wife has been there many times for work but it was my first. She says she has never been disappointed."

  • "When looking for a sit down restaurant near the UD campus, put Coco's Bistro at the top of your list. Great food, moderately priced with a cool, renovated look, Coco's is a great sit down place near the campus. We were there last Saturday night and had a great meal with awesome service. We will definitely be back."

  • "We had a fantastic time at Coco's, from the ambiance and decor to the delicious food. Everything was delicious, from the home-made dressings -- honey balsamic was so good-- for the salads, the bread, and the main course. I had a the ahi tuna with pappardelle, which was rich and very filling, and my partner had the beef stroganoff which looked equally as tasty. Next time I'm going to choose a lighter main dish and save room for dessert!"

  • "I thought the service and the food was great. I thought the music in our corner was a bit too loud. Possibly look at where the speakers are placed. I have eaten inside and outside several times. Great place to have dinner."

  • "Great food, our server was nice and efficient. My only concern was that there were only two taken tables at the restaurant prior to arriving and the hostess tried to put us right next to the louder of those two tables. We asked to for a different table, had no other problems and enjoyed the meal."

  • "This is a great little restaurant. Our service has always been fantastic. My husband and I have eaten here several times, and we always look forward to the short ribs. Sadly, they have been taken off the menu. We tried the agrodolce and the beef stroganoff instead. The agrodolce was really good, but the beef stroganoff was disappointing. Very bland. We will still visit this restaurant, but less often now that our favorite dish is no longer available."

  • "Think our waiter was Scott, and he did a great job. The wine we chose wasn't available, so he found another and gave it to us at a discount. The Malbec was terrific, and a great complement to our dinners. This was my second time trying the lamb lollipop appetizer, and it's a great choice. Our party enjoyed salads, then steak dinners. The beef was perfectly prepared, and the cabernet sauce on the tenderloin was spectacular. This visit, our second, was better than the first, and we'll be back. Great neighborhood restaurant, and an absolute recommendation for those in town at the University of Dayton."

  • "This visit was during the second week of Restaurant Week. We had a very good experience and the food was delicious. A couple thoughts -- The menu for the main courses was different from advertised for Restaurant Week. Not a problem for us, but we frequently dine with a friend who has health-related dietary restrictions and she carefully checks menus ahead of time. Also during the first RW, the cost was $20.14, but the second week was $25.14, in one case for the exact same meal. Again not a problem for us, but an unexpected extra $10 could be a problem for some. couples. If RW gets extended in the future, both your site and the restaurant association site should reflect changes. in both choices and cost."

  • "First time experience during restaurant week. While the service was slower we were not in a hurry and did not expect more. Our server though was spot on. The food was fantastic. There were 4 in our party and all dinners were delicious as (ok it's gross) but we shared tastes. One diner thought his homemade mac and cheese was better. Overall, we will be back. As a side note, the outside dining area looks very inviting and look forward to the warmer months.."

  • "We have dined at the former location and the current location. Both were excellent and the new location improves on space and available private dining rooms. We held our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Coco's in September and it could not have been better. The facility, waitresses, food and everything was beyond our expectations. I would pick Coco's for any group event for dinner. We had a 6:30 PM reservation and while we arrived early, we still had to wait until 7:00 PM to ask about our table. The Matre D' appeared to be overwhelmed and confused, however, he has been with Coco's for some time. Our February 1st reservation was during "restaurant week" and their selections were great. We will enjoy future dinners at Coco's."

  • "We went to Coco's for a birthday celebration. There were three of us in our party. I made reservations for 5:00 pm. Got right in when we arrived. Our server was a lovely girl. She did a great job. I ordered the steak. I have to tell you that this was the best meal I have had at a restaurant in many years. The steak was supurb and the accompaniments were great. Loved the mac-n-cheese. It was a great experience. I will be back."
