From oysters to apps to the fresh pizzas and pastas, each dish was perfect - seasoning, portions, textures, everything. The bar is meticulously stocked with hand-selected craft liquors and vintages. This spot is great for foodies, for meat-eaters and vegetarians, for dates, friend reunions or client meetings. I was surprised at how vibrant the neighborhood was. The waiters were attentive and did a great job. The menu was kind of odd - pizza and beef cheek both on it - but perfect for the crowd they attract; everyone from 28 year olds to 70 year olds. Great place. Both were impressed. Our waiter was amazing. I don't remember his name but he had a vast knowledge of Alsatian wines and made great suggestions for us. My friends loved him. Everything he suggested was a winner and all items were served promptly and hot. While I prefer my tune seared, everything was as tasty as can be. The porkbelly appetizer almost made me cry. The restaurant was not crowded, but it was the night before Easter. We sat at the bar. Very friendly service. The food was very good. I had the coco500 drink -- which is like a mojito. I'm picky, and this was good. The check was $130 or so. Dining room is nicely appointed with wood tables along a banquette, a bar near the front and some large windows. From the signature mushroom flatbread and batter-fried green beans to the lovely red cone-shaped tuna-stuffed piquillo peppers to the delicious entrees, everything was fresh and bright and tasty. Market fish, a right-sized (for me) piece of California swordfish with a few mushrooms and spinach was perfect. My companions dug into chocolate vacherins while I tried the "non-committal" one ounce of dark chocolate, plated in small chunks.
