We come here once a year. Each year the menu gets more limited and the service isn't up to par. This year the server messed up on my husbands drink order and messed up in his dinner. He ordered post roast and out came chick pot pie. Although she said someone brought her the wrong meal, it was obvious they had to cook the correct one as it took forever. Our check had chicken pot pie written on it. It wasn't unusually busy in there and maybe she had a bad day but it wasn't a pleasant experience. We said we wouldn't go back after going every year. The food is very good but not liking the limited choices or cost for the experience. We did tell the manager when she walked by asking how everything was.

One of our favorite places to dine. Love the charm and decor. Feels like you're in someone's home. Enjoy the delicious home cooked type of meals. It's so nice to have a place to go, that isn't your typical fast food or chain restaurant. We always bring family, who have come in from out of state, for an enjoyable meal. It never disappoints!!

My son and I had dinner on Sat 10/11. We both ordered the special of rib eye steak. I was disappointed to get a steak that was less than 1/2" thick. It was nearly impossible to see any red from a medium rare steak. Flavor was good but a lot of fat that made the edge curl. With the grilled onions on top it looked like it came off the griddle at a neighborhood diner. Also, at $28 for the meal it was way overpriced. Had I known I would have paid a few dollars and had prime rib or filet.

I tried this after seeing them on OpenTablea; it's been over 20 years since we had a business dinner, here. Food seems pretty average; I had a decent salad and a nice chicken pot pie: 3 or 3 1/2 stars. Area restaurants have evolve much in the past 20 years (The muszak playing seemed to be that old). It's a casual dining place for tourists (a tour bus was boarding outside when I arrived) and for people who like big plates (food was a bit bland). This isn't the usual place that I've experienced on OpenTable.

Went there to celebrate a family occasion and was very pleased. The food was good, but the service was lacking a bit. They recently changed their menu and removed the lobster raviolis which is a favorite in my family. We found other things to order and no one was disappointed with their meal.

It's been years since I've been here but now will be back more often. Three if us went for Saturday night dinner. The bar was packed but the dining room less so. Our waitress was fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious from soup to dessert. The special that night was steak and crab cakes with asparagus. Enjoyed every bite. Also, the host desk has discount books so we got 20% off !

Took a friend here since he had never been to peddlers village and we had a great time! Menu is a bit limited but overall the food was fantastic and you get a good amount. I had the prime rib which was amazing and my friend had the chicken marsala...we both ate everything. I would return in a heartbeat.

Tuesday night Prime Rib special with Salad bar. Salad bar was ok, but really nothing special at all. The Prime Rib was excellent, prepared exactly as we asked! The ambience was ok, but again nothing special (seemed a little out-dated over all, and the floor shook quite a bit whenever anyone walked by our table, which was really annoying!). We noticed several tables that went un-bussed for quite a long time, but eventually were done. Our server was very nice with just the right amount of attentiveness, and she even went as far as having our dessert cut in half and served on separate plates, after we asked to share a piece of their delicious chocolate peanut butter pie! (not necessary, but it was a very nice, and considerate, touch!)

Portions were fair. Was disappointed in the prime rib. Majorly lacking flavor and jus almost tasted canned or made from boullion rather tan pan drippings. The waitress would come to the table and ask if we were done with each course when clearly we were still eating th food on our plates- ans would say ok- take your time. Annoying really...if i werent for the very polite hostess and the great table by the window it would have been a definite F.

Food was not quite as good as expected and the pie we ordered for dessert was equal to what you would expect from a grocery store pie. Loved the dining room decoration and the view we had of the shops was quite nice. Our server was good. She was attentive and very personable and worth the tip we left her. Overall I am not sure we would come back again for dinner. Maybe it was our choice of a main course.

Party of seven went for Mother's day brunch - Had to wait to be seated even though we had a reservation. The food was a buffet style with choices for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Usually they have an omelet station but discontinued it for Mother's day due to crowd. Love the view of the spring flowers and shops out the window. Nice place to celebrate a special occasion.

The resteraunt is really nicely done with historic rooms and decor. The Mother's Day brunch is an annual favorite and the service is always perfect. My only complaint is the reservation checkin process for the opening reservations. There were probably 20 large parties at 9:30 and they took our names and made us wait in the lobby. It looked a bit like a mob scene and when they began seating, calling names again, a lot of pushing and shoving ensued due to the amount of people standing nj the lobby. A 9:30 reservation wasn't sat till 9:40. A better process would have been to start seating groups at 9am and ask them to wait to get food. The servers could have been traffic control as there are plenty! They just need to be more organized.

I'm sorry to say I was quite disappointed with the brunch this year. Last year we had a wonderful time and even though the price went up $10, I was still anxious to go. It's a tradition in out family to have Easter Brunch together. However, the brunch wasn't as good as last year. There were a lot of things on the menu last year that were missing. There was something else missing beside certain foods. I can't put my finger on it, but it wasn't there. We had a great time last year. We had a big round table and we shared all our thought and memories. This year we were seated at a long table and interaction was missing. We travel from South Jersey to go here. I guess I'll look for another spot.

We get to the C & B only once or twice a year. It is a destination spot for us since we have to travel 85 miles to get there. We have never been disappointed. The beef tips in a bread bowl are my favorite. Hubby had crab cakes - always wary - because he is VERY particular about crab cakes. He pronounced these the best he ever had. He also loves the creamed spinach. This time we stopped in the tavern for a drink before dinner. That was a nice experience too. Good drinks from a friendly bartender in an interesting setting.
