If you've been to Cha Cha Cha in Silver Lake, you know what to expect from this west side outpost of the local, family-run chain. Good food, warm and attentive service, and fair prices. Plus corkage is only $10 so feel free to BYO.

This is a great find. The atmosphere is great, the service was excellent, and the food was good. I don't think I ordered well and would like to go back to try other dishes. The paella was fairly bland, but the tortilla soup was tasty. The flan was excellent. We will definitely be back.

(on noise--we were there very early so it was quiet. don't think it would be later.) We've been trying to eat here for ages but were waiting too late to make reservations. We really liked every entree very much (there were 4 of us). We all had various shrimp or other seafood dishes The amazing thing is that the prices are much lower than equivalent food elsewhere in West LA and downtown. I had no idea this would be true. What a pleasant surprise. The desserts are great too.

The food is absolutely, hands down incredible. House made guac and tortilla chips were hard to share! I had the swordfish for dinner - great piece of fish with tasty sides. More plantains please! Others in my party had the chicken and the special, a white fish from the great lakes. Everyone raved. I booked this restaurant for a business dinner with clients who I've known a long time. There were six of us and that's about as big a party as I'd have at Cocina Primavera. The restaurant space is a bit small so it may not be ideal if you're looking for power business dinner ambience. However, if your client is a fan of or from the carribean, you cannot go wrong here.

I don't get all the hype. This place was just ok. Food was nothing special, it tasted just like your average latin fusion restaurant in the neighborhood. Place is small and service was good, not attentive but good overall as our server was very pleasant. Wine selection is ok.

Limited, but wonderful menu. Well priced, overall great food. Bring a bottle of wine for only a $10 corkage, and be sure to share your wine with the server. You will not regret your meal. While the ambience and "scene" are not the greatest (more of a strip mall type setting), you will be pleased with the fantastic food and great service. Try the fried chicken, tamales or an fish entree - you cannot go wrong.

Cocina Primavera is a delightful addition to this Olympic avenue neighborhood strip mall. If you like seafood and/or Caribbean cuisine, you will enjoy your visit immensely. The menu has just the right number of choices - not too overwhelming and not too limited - with good options for appetizers as well as entrees. And don't forget the wine list! The restaurant is fairly small, with an open kitchen design. The wait staff are very attentive. My friend started with the crabcakes and had the Camarones Negros (shrimp in black pepper sauce). I had the house salad (very refreshing with apples and cranberries) followed by the Seafood Paella - a fabulous combination of shrimp, mussels, scallops and swordfish.

This is a small but well run restaurant. The food is authentic, tasty and portions are adequate. The set ice was just right balance of attention. The food came fast. The wine choices although limited were great quality wines. For desert, we had the apple tart but it was way too dense and too sweet. The coffee is excellent. Unfortunately the place is very small so the atmosphere is cramp. Conversations are not exactly private and although it is an excellent place to come with a friend or on a date, don't plan on bringing the family or kids. All in all, the service and food makes this a place that I look forward to coming back.....with my wife.

FIVE stars for food. I usually get bored with my main course after about five or six bites. Here, the shrimp in some dark brown spicy sauce was so good that my taste buds were engaged for the whole course. Also, I have the appetite of a small bird, and ate everything on my plate, which hardly ever happens (not because the portions are small, but because I was really, really enjoying the meal). We even ordered desert, which I never do. Five stars, too, for the service, which was friendly and happy. This is, though, pretty much no-frills when it coms to ambiance, except for the open kitchen, which is a really nice touch.

This great little find is the perfect spot for you and your date or anytime you want to have a nice meal at someplace that has some great ambiance. The menu has a something for everyone on it and has a nice selection of soups and salads as well just in case you're not wanting something too heavy. I had the Camarones Negros, which is shrimp in a spicy black pepper sauce which was amazing! Great flavors! The service was great and had the touches of a family ran business where everyone was friendly and the staff seemed to know quite a few regulars that were dining there that night.

I read the reviews and traveled out of my business neighborhood to visit this location for lunch with clients. Don't be fooled by the store front appearance of the restaurant. When I walked through the door it smelled like I was home (born in the Caribbean). The service was good and the food and flavors were incredible. The price was extremely reasonable. Both I and my client noted we would return, regularly.
