  • "Returned a week after first visit -- seated immediately. Service was very good by waiter Jackson who recognized me from the first time. Food was as good and also tried the bean and cheese nacho which was yummy. Fish tacos and rock shrimp tacos both are good options. Only comment is I asked for a side of guacamole, which we did not get, but that was OK as we had enough food!! We did have to get an adjustment on the bill and it said it was $9!!! The side is $2 but the waiter was going to just charge us for the appetizer size without questioning it. I spoke with the reception girl about it and the waiter also. I will know to be very careful next time!!"

  • "Enjoyed the open layout. Unfortunately we could not eat outside but it did not deter us. Food was really good - fish tacos, chicken tacos, bean and cheese nachos (eaten as an entrée - full portion). Guacamole and salsa were also good. My only criticism would be that, since it was my first time, I wanted to mix the chicken and veggie tacos and they would not - that is they said they "could" not. Ridiculous. Both were the same price and the kitchen could have easily made two of one and one of the other......."

  • "This restaurant blows everything else in town away. The food, the atmosphere everything. The Carne Asada is the best I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Their Margaritas are all delicious (potent) and expertly made. The Queso fundido is amazing and served with hot tortillas. Costco has $100 value gift cards for $79.99 which makes this an even better bargain. I've stocked up on them. A must eat in place if you like Mexican food."

  • "I didn't even realize that they have a back room, they open it when it's not reserved and can put a couple large parties back there for birthdays and such. Everyone was very nice and accommodating to the come and go group that I had. They had the table ready in advance and were prepared to tackle the 20 or so people in the group. I have celebrated 2 birthday parties there now and always have a great time."

  • "My wife and I looked forward to dining at Cocina 214. Our friends arrived and we were seated in the restaurant. The room began to fill quickly as did the noise level. Apparently the restaurant felt that it's not important to enjoy a quiet conversation. We had to talk very loudly. Three of us are professional musicians and we have very good ears and it was difficult to hear one another. I had the pear salad that I found to be flavorless. My main course was the bacon wrapped shrimp which were dry on top of a bed of many onions and green peppers, which were also flavorless. The accompanying yellow rice and re fried beans more of the same. Our friend from Dallas suggest that we try another Mexican restaurant in Orlando. We won't be back!"

  • "First, the restaurant décor is cool and the patio was lovely (despite the view of the parking garage.) HOWEVER, the prices were not related to the quantity/quality/ingredients. We went for brunch and were surprised with $12 prices for basically eggs, tortillas & cheese (less than $1 worth of ingredients) - want to add some chorizo or chicken - $2 more. We went with "lunch" items - the enchiladas were just ok, but the "Mexican rice" was nothing but white rice with red sauce added in (no spices, seasonings, peppers, onions, anything) and the refried beans straight out of the can. I get that it is Park Ave area, but there are much better brunch options at the same prices."

  • "Our family of four eats here 3-4 times per month. Whether you take your kids here or come for a night out with friends, the food and service is consistently good. Nice selection of margaritas and beers. Try the fajitas and burritos. All of them are creative and delicious."

  • "I had the worst service I have had in a very, very long time. From the time the server introduced herself, the complete experience was a bust. As soon as we sat down, she asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. Couldn't get her attention for her to finally take a drink order. We all finally get our drinks, would like a second round, she walks by us multiple times with no intention of coming over. Luckilywe still had water. She takes my brother's plate in mid bite without asking him of he is done. Never offered another drink, nor desserts, scoops my leftover with her thumb It was horrible, subpar, no business working in the service industry, ruined my birthday dinner with my family night. I will never return and will never recommend!"

  • "First time at Cochina 214. Got off to a slow start with change of waitstaff. 1st one never returned and manager intervened. Another waitress came over and took over. Food and drink menu was very appetizing. Ordered the fish tacos but substituted a more expensive fish which they charged an additional "up charge" for. It was excellent but for the extra $2 the fish portion was extremely small. Actually I thought the entire plate was more like an appetizer after seeing the size of my husbands fijitas. Would go back again on our next visit to Florida."

  • "We were celebrating a birthday with friends. Opentable makes the reservation process super easy. We had a little bit of a wait- but found seats in the bar. Excellent food and service. I can recommend the Swirl Margarita and the Fish Tacos. Yum. Everyone enjoyed what they had."

I have also celebrated my mother's birthday here and she loved it! The food is good, the ambiance is terrific, and the service is really great! Definitely a must try!"

  • "If you're looking for fantastic Tex-Mex food, look no further than this hidden gem off of Park Avenue in Winter Park. The portions are always large and the food has unbelievably good flavor. The staff is always very friendly and the service level is great. This has become one of my favorite restaurants in the area."

  • "We were seated right away for our reservation. The place is very nice. Chips and really hot salsa was brought quickly. We had to ask for salsa that was not so hot. The place is loud. Once in awhile there would be a lull and the person talking could be heard above everyone else. Not great for talking amongst 6friends. The drinks and some of the food was pricey. I thought drinks were a little high, but they were good. There were some meals that were priced very well and some that I thought were overpriced. It was odd. A friend ordered a small container of guacamole to take home to her husband and was chaged $9. She had to ask for some chips to take with it. Service was slow. We were never asked if we wanted dessert."

  • "We were a group of 6 celebrating two birthdays. We've celebrated my birthday there before, indoors, with a bigger group, and that was fine. This time we requested an outdoor table. What we got were two tiny round tables pushed together, which was quite awkward. There was a huge group of maybe 20 people who had a rectangular table set-up. Why did we have to get the awkward set-up? We made a reservation in advance. The restaurant should have either said they didn't have a table for us outside, or they should have brought a table out."

  • "Beautiful decor, food and drinks but the taste was rather bland. I needed to out some salsa from the chips on the carnitas to improve the flavor. The drinks were good, I had the skinny 214 margarita and that was good. The ceviche had a cream type citrus sauce on it which was not authentic and gave it an odd flavor. The house made chips were very good and had an authentic taste. Our server was nice but lacked the appropriate training to wait on our table. She was so soft spoken we could barely hear her over the noise in the restaurant. Also, we needed to ask for silverware and place settings 2x. Overall, i was not impressed but I will give it a second chance another time but I might wait a while or go at lunch."

  • "the food was as good as usual but the restaurant had a real problem with service this time. our party of 12 was served haphazardly and slipshod. our waitress was pleasant but seemed overwhelmed by having to serve so large a party. she would stop taking orders mid-course and leave 2 or 3 people bewildered and needing to enter their orders. not nasty but indeed unsettling. ive been to cocina numerous times and not encountered this before. if the staff cant handle a large party the management needs to learn to assign an extra server. i will return (i love the food) but if this happens again i might have to reconsider."
