A word from Coast Seafood and Raw Bar
Coast Seafood and Raw Bar, open in the former Home restaurant location, on West Paces Ferry Road. Coast serves Atlanta’s freshest seafood and island cocktails in an environment that makes you feel closer to the sea than ever before!
The menu incorporates Coast classics including crab and corn hush puppies, a signature seafood boil, and a variety of raw or steamed oysters, clams and mussels; along with signature fresh catch entrees.

Coast will be open nightly serving dinner. Coast has a large patio area for dining, new extended bar area, seating for over 100 and private dining options.

  • "This was our first trip to Coast and it was for a coveted, too few and far between, date night. I was quite disappointed when I walked in that our reservation meant a 20-60 min wait upon arrival and no way to be seated outside within 1.5 hrs (the whole purpose of us going to Coast was to sit outside). The host explained the only table they had available was on the back porch, so we took it. Unfortunately, the host did not tell us there were only three tables out there, two of which were filled with loud kids and big family celebrations. By this point I was extremely disappointed and even considered leaving. Thankfully our waitress, Erin I believe, was a superstar! She made the entire night! Even though my swordfish was VERY overcooked."

  • "As usual, we have a memorable family outing at Coast, celebrating a birthday. Our server was wonderful and the food is delicious. Would pass on the oysters, if you are used to the "big boys". They were a bit small, but the Mahi Mahi was terrific and our adult children enjoyed the seafood boil."

Went with a friend and we both commented on our way to the restaurant, "Surely all oysters taste the same." The minute we tried Coast's oysters, we realized we were wrong. Plus, with the wisteria covered porch and the not-too-noisy musician, it was perfect for a spring Friday night."

  • "I was looking for a moderately priced seafood restaurant for a relaxing date night on a nice spring evening. Our server was friendly and on top of things. The food was good for the price and we enjoyed the live music on the patio (acoustic guitar). 6:30 on a Friday seemed to be good time as they were not too busy but the crowd didn't seem to scarce either. If you are looking for upscale, knock your socks off taste you will have to pay more for an upscale seafood restaurant. I usually save those restaurants for special occassions...I just wanted a casual, coastal-type feel with safe, basic seafood that would cost less than $100 for two people. We were very pleased and we will be going back :-)"

  • "We decided to wait to sit on the crowded patio because it was a gorgeous night. Our server Alford came by to take our wine and appetizer order, and that's about the last we saw of him until we were nearly done with our meal. We had to flag down another server to take our entree order, bring silverware, refill water, etc. Very frustrating at this price level to not have more attentive service. On the positive side, the bartender was great and the food was excellent. The broiled oysters and calamari appetizers were superb. I ordered the mahi with crawfish etouffee, one of the best seafood dishes I've ever had, but my wife's shrimp pasta was a bit more on the average side."

  • "I went to Coast for the first time thus weekend and experienced the absolute worst experience. Our waitress was never around, I mean we would not see her for periods for 30-40 minutes and had to ask other staff to assist our table. Never received our salads. Had to beg for any type of assistance to order. When presented with bill we hold them to split it 5 ways. Can you believe our waitress had added a 15 % tip without telling us. When one if my friends asked about it, our waitress did not initially admit that she had added an automatic tip. Of course on the credit charge receipt there was still a line for a tip. Nit planning to go back anytime soon."

  • "I was in the mood for some great seafood and I got it! It was reasonably priced for the food we got. I think what most makes the restaurant is the ambience. We sat on the patio on a warm spring evening listening the a guy playing guitar just getting to fully enjoy ourselves. The staff was also very friendly and attentive to our needs. I'll be making that place a favorite spot to attend."

  • "Four of us were out to dinner before a show. Walking in the building I felt like I was near the water again. Good decor and setting. The smell of old bay and shellfish only reinforced the atmosphere. A nice setting. The fresh seafood was just what we were looking for. Unfortunately the waiter and poor service killed the dining experience. I'm not overly picky and I understand upscale food service from personal experience. Our waiter was inattentive at best. Trying to pay was even more frustrating. Told him we had to catch a show. After watching him clear tables and pass by the table several times I had to get up and ask again. Killed the experience. Would Irecommend this restaurant? Maybe, with caveats."

  • "I would highly recommend this place if you are seafood junkie! The food was excellent! The only issue is that the restaurant is an old house so it feels very crowded inside and the acoustics are not the best. Do not expect to have a private conversation over dinner here or even a romantic evening with that special someone. I felt like our table was in the middle of the servers' way and that everyone could hear and see what we were saying and doing. I am more excited for the summer to try the patio. An awesome patio that is always crowded."

  • "Went to Coast for the first time and it was excellent. They have a special on Monday nights - Alaskan Snow Crab is 1/2 price ($9). We had that as an appetizer and it was very fresh and perfectly cooked - very sweet and came right out of the shell. I had the Scallops which were served on a bed of grits with crispy parsnips on top - yummy!"

The front deck as full so they graciously opened the back patio for us and our dog..... The service was excellent, as always and so was the food.. My wife loves the Shrimp and Grits and I like the King Crab Legs.... Our experience that could not of been better.... Thanks Josh and the rest of the crew....."

  • "We are originally from Maryland and very accustomed to great seafood. Up until finding Coast we had not found anyplace in our area to get edible seafood. Everything we had at Coast was positively perfect. The oyster selection was off the charts great with the Georgia and Chincoteague oysters being our favorites. After having oysters as our appetizer I had the scallop dinner, my husband had some kind of seafood stew and my sister had a steamed seafood combo. Let's put it this way - we are still talking about how great all our food was. To top it off, the service was stupendous. I wished I remembered our server's name as she was knowledgeable, attentive and made our dining experience one to remember. We will return often."

  • "I have yet to find many places in the city serving diverse, affordable fish dishes; however, the star of the dinner were the sides. The Butternut Squash is heavenly. As a side, it does not get as much appreciation. Coast needs to put this as a dessert because it is just fantastic. The only problem I had was that it took a little bit longer to get a drink than anticipated. All in all, a great Thursday night spot."

  • "I was excited to try something new in Buckhead. I was a little underwhelmed by the ambiance when we walked in. Our server was nice enough and pleasant. I ordered steak and my friend ordered fish. Hers was pretty good, but my steak was either done w odd spices, or something was wrong w the meat itself. It just didn't taste right at all. They up charged us for the bacon Mac and cheese and never told us they were going to. When we brought this to the manager and server's attention, they basically admitted they made an error, yet did not fix the bill. Very bad form. Because of that, I'll never return. When a customer has an issue and you admit it's your fault, and don't fix it, that's not a way to run a restaurant. One and done."

  • "We found this gem several months ago and it is really one of the finer restaurants in Atlanta. The menu is perfect - a nice selection but not too many items, the food preparation is superb and they go out of their way to assist with allergies, the waitress that we had Mercedes is a real doll and does a fabulous job working with her customers. All in all it's just a great place. Small and in a converted house which makes for a perfect romantic spot but they also have a large covered and heated porch so groups can be accommodated. Overall this is a 5 star restaurant in my recommendation and we will revisit this one many times."

We had a lovely table upstairs and were cared for by wonderfully attentive wait persons (I regret that I did not catch and remember their names). They were attentive without being intrusive, very pleasant in their way of recommending menu items and unhurried. The food was delicious--mussels and swordfish. We will definitely be returning."
