"I hate to say this, but I was disappointed. We had been there in the past for the Sunday Brunch, but it has been a few years. It was always on the top of the list of favorites, but now they are merely average. Certainly not worth the price of 25.95 a person, and this is for anyone over the age of 10. To keep this short, the price is up, the quality of food is down and the ambience has been completely lost. I will not be recommending this place to anyone anymore. And yes, I have in the past."

"We had not been to the Coast Guard House in over 20 years. Besides a table overlooking the ocean, we had excellent service and a fabulous meal. We'll be returning."

"The service staff were impeccably wonderful and great service. The food was average plus 31/2star. They did go out of their way to accomodate person with coniditions diabetics, low sodium, vegetarians etc. I would recommend it as a nice local restaurant to friends but not outstanding."

"Located directly on the beach with spectacular views, the restaurant is a treat in itself. The food is good but can't compare to the scenery. Service was excellent even though we were pressed for time. Restaurant menu that we chose from was limited but enough to give a flavor of the regular menu."

"Surrounded by windows in a restaurant that juts out onto Narragansett Bay provides great ambiance.

Unbenown to us it was Newport Restaurant week. Some in our party had a good 3 course meal at bargain price. However, the service was (understanbly?) stretched by crowd.

Seafood "Bolognese" with Rigatoni was great, creative dish.

Food warranted 3 1/2 * rating.

Worth returning to CGH."

"Wonderful restaurant - great ambiance, right on the water with the Newport Bridge in the background, fully lit. Food is fantastic, reasonably priced with specials Mon-Thurs. Right next to the historic Towers in Narragansett."

"The food here is always excellent. You can't ask for fresher seafood. Staff is very friendly. Our waiter was attentive and made some great food suggestions. Food was delicious! You can't ask for a better view!"
