Co Co. SalaI love this place. The foodI love this place. The food is AMAZE and the desserts are beyond AMAZE. I've been here five times, and love it. I always get a reservation because it's usually packed. On this visit, the hostess was prompt and very friendly. The food was great.
My ONLY complaint was that our server was not very good. He actually forgot about our drink order, i saw the drinks sitting at the bar waiting to be served to us. When i finally got my co cojito, the ice had melted and it was watered down. Disappointing, especially when I'm paying $12 for it (and I know how great that drink normally is). But I don't intend to let that stop me from coming back. When i make reservations, I can make requests, like, "I don't want this server," which works for me!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGet the frittersThe cheese fritters had a chipotle cacao sauce that should be bottled and sold!!!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMCo Co Sala was amazing!!!!Co Co Sala was amazing!!!! The food was delicious. I will be coming back again!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was fantastic, especiallyThe food was fantastic, especially the desserts. Really small portions, which is what you get for something fancy like Coco Sala, but overall pretty great. It was a little too dark in there, but the noise level was fine and the service was great.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAn intimate treat! The food was incredible (the menu was so interesting, it made the experience fun). A lot of plates to share. The ambiance was very romantic. I went with a small group of friends, but this would be an awesome, intimate date spot. Definitely do not skip out on dessert!5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Brunch!!!Fantastic food and amazing drinks!!! We loved every last bite.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI went to Coco Sala for myI went to Coco Sala for my 25th birthday and it was amazing. The food is outstanding and the drinks are remarkable. I wish that the meals were bigger and that they had more food options.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat placeLoved the chocolate mojitos! Food was great and sat outside on the sidewalk out front beautiful spot.
Our waiter was Raheem, he was very helpful and attentive5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat drinks, food and presentationLoved the experience - great urban/NYC vibe coupled with unique chocolate inspired offerings. If you've ever been to a Max Brenner establishment be prepared for something very different - both have their place in the chocolate culinary world but Co Co Sala is the place for seeing chocolates "seductive" side rather than its "fun and friendly" side. Miguel was our waiter and he was excellent am highly attentive. Will definitely be back again and it's on my "'must bring visitors" list for the future.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was my first time havingIt was my first time having brunch at Co Co Sala and it's definitely more casual than it is at night. People in jeans and t-shirts, it was a bit unexpected for me, but great to know too! The food was amazing as usual; $26 for a 3-course brunch is a great deal. Service was ok. Our server forgot a few things like stirrers for our coffee, got my order wrong, but the food is so good that it made up for the mediocre service. I still recommend having brunch there. I will definitely go again!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful time!We had a wonderful time! The food was delicious (lobster, crab, scallops, etc!) and the drinks were fun and tasty!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThis meal was not as goodThis meal was not as good as ones in the past -- uneven is the word I would use. My bloody mary was delicious and nicely spiced, but the hibiscus berry drink my friend got was all syrup and no berries. The coffee was weaker than french press should be. The enchilada was uninspired and not an enchilada. adn the breakfast flatbread, usually my favorite, had far too much cheese and the whole thing was dried out. Hope this was just an off day at a spot that is one of my loves for brunch. our server was lovely, but she was stretched too thin and did not have enough time to check on us (management issue, not our server).4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMwe absolutely LOVED this restaurantwe absolutely LOVED this restaurant and the dining experience- we will definately be back very soon4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot!Co Co is always great. I primarily go there for dessert and drinks...the back room couches are a must for a couple out on the town. Beautiful interior, nice music and good atmosphere.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first time here for Brunch. Our first time here for Brunch. Really nice and wonderful food. Enjoy.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for a ladies night out!We had a group of six ladies getting together for the weekend to catch-up and very much enjoyed our time at Co Co Sala. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The servers were very good at making sure the table was constantly maintained as far as clearing plates, etc. We all enjoyed our food, drinks and dessert! The only negative was the lounge-style seating - the table bases were quite wide and those of us in the built in couch were squeezed in to eat so that our legs needed to be to the side which was not very comfortable.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMore Chocolate!Chocolate and More Chocolate! Yum!
Portions priced right!
Visit the Boutique after your meal. Great Bonbons and chocolate covered goodies!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a good time. Cocktails,Always a good time. Cocktails, dinner, dessert, more cocktails. The Fetish and The Allure are top-notch drinks!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI specifically made a reservationI specifically made a reservation here for dessert & drinks & they did not disappoint! Great ambiance, excellent service, yummy dessert! I ordered coffee & it came in a french press. My partner had the hot chocolate flight & we shared the chocolate onyx. Fantastic presentation! Highly recommend.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMdelish!Delicious from start to finish! Cocktails are amazing, we ordered 5 items off the menu: 4-cheese fritters YUM, prosciutto and grilled melon YUM, artichoke tart SUPER YUM, bacon mac and cheese OBVIOUSLY YUM, and scallops SUPER YUM.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSo delicious! It is an experience you will never forget! Chocolate lovers and non-chocolate lovers can appreciate the food and atmosphere at this amazing place. Everything is good - you can't go wrong!4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch was great and the frenchBrunch was great and the french toast is amazing. The only downfall is that I choose three deserts really so I walked away feeling like I didn't eat a true meal. The food however was outstanding and I would go back for brunch again. Really good value and not too crowded for a Saturday afternoon.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMChocolate ParadiseThis is my second experience at Coco Sala...once for dinner and once for brunch and I enjoyed both. The food is fresh and innovative. This is a chocolate lovers paradise and although I am not a huge chocolate lover, I can still enjoy the wonderful creations without feeling as though there was too much chocolate...there is a happy medium.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious and creative. BestDelicious and creative. Best drinks ever (chocolate strawberry)!!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMYummy!Went for 30th birthday dinner. Everyone enjoyed the food. Enjoyed parm/rosemary fries, strawberry caprese flatbread, manchego and arugala salad, chicken ceasar flatbread, bacon mac and cheese, scallops, beef tenderloin, crab cakes, and asparagus risotto. Portions smaller than a chain restaurant, but enough with a salad. Sister stated mac and cheese was too rich for her. Bubbly flight came with slivers of chocolate and strawberry. Wine list on the small side, but good variety of cocktails. 3 course dessert was churros, choice of main (sticky toffee pudding cake), and 2 small squares of chocolate or pastry. Can share, but fun to eat alone, too! Chocolate onyx delish, cupcake trio is 3 reg sized cupcakes. PB cocoa- must like peanut butter!3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMA small group of us went forA small group of us went for lunch. It was a great experience. Food was very good and the hot chocolate was delicious.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Restaurant and BoutiqueOverall great restaurant! Gentlemen, if you find yourself in a jam with your significant other, this restaurant will sure make her forget about your imperfections. It is a chocolate lover's haven! Although the restaurant is chocolate themed, the food selection does not overdo it. In other words, you're not going to get an entree smothered entirely in chocolate or overpowered by it. It will simply add a chocolate touch to whatever you order and it will complement it very well.
The only bad thing about the restaurant is that it can get pretty noisy with the DJ in the background. Granted, I ate there on a late Friday night, the volume could've been toned down a touch so that we didn't have to almost shout across the table.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant was recommendedThis restaurant was recommended by a friend and my girlfriend and I had a very lovely date. The setting was very good and the food was excellent. We had a great time.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Menu! The decorWonderful Menu! The decor is very chic and the service top notch. Best drinks ever and a chocoholic's dream. They have valet for logistic convenience and the kitchen is open until midnight for food to pair with drinks. Some concerns (which were minor overall) are we had to wait 20 minutes for our table even though we had reservations. Due to the size of Coco Sala and how busy they were this was forgivable. The music is a bit loud in the later hours of the night. Lighting is very low so reading the menu is a challenge. Aside from those concerns this is hands down one of my favorite restaurants and definitely worth the price of the drinks and entrees.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNice, quiet girls' lunch.Nice, quiet girls' lunch. Food was wonderful as always!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique concept! My experienceUnique concept! My experience is was outstanding and the server was very knowledgeable about the menu while offering fantastic recommendations. I have been raving about my experience and will return real soon! I will also refer my family and friend to CoCo Sala as a location for private events.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMHave had dinner and drinksHave had dinner and drinks at CoCo Sala but first time having brunch. It was wonderful with a choice of a 3 course experience or ala carte options. Innovative entrees and drinks. It was my daughter's 15th birthday and they brought her dessert out on a plate that had Happy Birthday written in chocolate and a candle burning. We had a great time!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMParty of tenCoco Sala was great! Highly recommend it. I booked my reservations through open table for ten people but the confirmation only showed two people. When Coco Sala called to confirm they were very accommodating. My party had a great time. The drinks are wonderful!! Hip young professional crowd. Best part are the cocojitos!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMChocolate cocktails and bacon!Great place if you want a little something different - the chocolate covered bacon was pretty and the cocktails were great!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMSuch a neat find right inSuch a neat find right in DC! I love chocolate so the chocolate inspired menu was fantastic (but didn't have too much). The cheese fritters were delicious and all the drinks we tried were great too. Everything is so good that the check can add up quickly! Can't wait to go back :)3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food and ambianceShared a few appetizers and desserts with my boyfriend - it was delicious and we had a great time! It got a little noisy, but we were there pretty late - around 10pm. Would go back again!1/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
