Diner Reviews
  • "This dinner was disappointing. Soup and appetizers came out after a long wait; although the waiter apologized, the entrees arrived before we finished the appetizers. I was forced to eat my entree before it got cold and disposed the soup. the lamb steak was tough chewing. The waitress refilled our ice tea and lemonades perfunctorily. The overpriced coconut cake dessert was as dry as the Sahara (and tasted blah!) I didn't finish it. An older couple at the next table seemed to be holding court with the waiters and waitresses. Our waitress was talking with them; we were finished. After trying to get our waitress' attention, I stood up to leave and the she finally came over. I can't recommend this place."

  • "Casey M was an excellent waitress and is an asset to your establishment. Her vibrant personality and caring for our needs was OUTSTANDING!"

  • "Food was average for a restaurant at this price point.....frankly, a bit disappointing. We've visited this restaurant on a number of occassions in the past and our last few visits have been disappointing. We dined outdoors and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Service was ok but not exceptionally attentive. At times we felt like we were an afterthought."

  • "It is perfect for outdoor dining on a beautiful day. Much attention is given to the service and comfort of the diner. Food is always good at a Clyde's property."

  • "Really great food, but service on that day was poor. Found a piece of plastic in my Poached Cod. Someone came to apologize, but forgot to introduce himself. That person would give me potatoes while waiting for my new order, but did not happen. Not a good idea to eat here on Sunday after 7pm."

  • "It was nice. Good food. The waitress pretended not to hear us when we said the drink was watered down. The waiters can be a little more vigilant that is all."

  • "We really enjoyed dining outside on the patio so we could enjoy our first really nice day of spring. Our waiter, Joe, was especially nice and made our meal particularly pleasant. Thank you."

  • "Willow Creek is a Clyde's restaurant, but it's location allows for a different dining experience depending on your mood. It is also huge and rarely does not have seating available. We wanted to dine outside relatively late on Saturday evening for a quiet romantic evening under the stars and were concerned because of the live band already playing on the expansive patio. However, we were seated, by request, on the far edge and had the perfect experience, being able to hear the music, but still have our quiet and privacy. Plus, they have added some fabulous new vegetarian options since our last visit, which I sincerely appreciated."

  • "I had a disappointing experience at Willow Creek which is unusual. I will still come back, whoever is in charge of waitstaff should observe their staff a little more closely . Our waitress while nice was wearing a shirt two sizes too small with 2 buttons undone at her waist exposing her belly. The food was ok, nothing really had the wow factor."

  • "We could not have had a more perfect meal. The service was outstanding and the trout meal perfect. Going back next week for dinner with our other friends."

  • "Every time I visit a Clyde's restaurant, the service is wonderful. The food isn't always my favorite, but the ambiance and service make up for that."

  • "I've been to this Clyde's with friends several times. The atmosphere is the best of all the Clydes in No VA. The food was good. Wish their wine list was a bit better. Not great choices for wine."

  • "I like to dine at Clyde's for special occasions because I don't want any unexpected surprises. Very consistent food and service"

  • "Service is always impeccable and food well prepared/presented/delicious. Sometimes "stuff" happens. The restaurant runs out of a specific entree that was the reason you came to dine at the establishment. The waitress forgets to put in your appetizer order which no one realizes until the entrees have been served. However, Clyde's at Willow Creek Farm is a restaurant that does more than pay lip service to caring about the satisfaction of their customers. After apologies from numerous managers, we were surprised with 3 decadent desserts (for free) and a comp to return for dinner at Clyde's expense. How many restaurants do you know that will do that for their patrons? Has always been a great restaurant, this just puts them over the top."

  • "This is my second visit to a place which apparently pleases many people and has a historic charm. Both my visits, on the recommendation of friends, have yielded disappointing results. The first time the food quality seemed moderate; the second time even less so. The waitress was charming and attentive, but I suppose it is easier to be so when we were one of only two couples in the bare, large dining hall. It was of course quiet. I wish it were less so -- that too on a Friday lunch."

  • "There was an unfortunate incident but the staff and management could not have been nicer and more professional handling it. The incident is the only reason I did not give an "outstanding" rating. We will definitely go back."

  • "Never had a bad experience at Clyde's. This time was no exception. The trout was great as was my rib eye. Service was perfect as as one would expect or hope it would be in a good restaurant. A thoroughly enjoyable experience."

  • "For several years now we have been introducing our family and friends to the great dining experience to be found at Clyde's of Willow Creek Farm. Now only is the food superb in preparation and presentation but the menu is varied enough for any palate. The ambiance is charming, elegant, and comfortable from one dining room to another. We like to come here for special occasions and are never disappointed. Our recent visit with friends who are world travelers lived up to our pre-visit build up. One feature that we particularly enjoy is being able to reserve a table ahead when we are dining for a special event, such as a birthday, anniversary or promotion."

  • "Four of us dined at Clydes Willow Brook for a Wedding Anniversary celebration on a Saturday night. We arrived about an hour early -- but they seated us right away. Our original table was not near a fireplace -- we asked for a change -- and again they were very helpful. The server was very good and very knowledgeable re the menu. All entrees were very good, as well as the soup which was a fish stew instead of the usual clam chowder. We had a salmon salad (2), mussels, and mahi mahi, as well as shared two of the desserts. Knowing that it was our anniversary, the server added a lighted candle to our dessert! This was our fourth or fifth time at Willow Brook and we will definitely be going back again!"

  • "I have been in town for 2 weeks and my wife drove down from NJ to celebrate her birthday.Clydes was recommended by the front desk at the Residence inn. Being our first time,I was told to select the Large room for its decor. It was very pleasant, but did have a lot of family with kids, but still enjoyed the experience. My next trip down,I would definitely reserve for dinner, requesting however, eitherthe romm off to the right, with all the carriages hanging or perhaps the quaint bar room to the left.It was stiil,a pleasant, romantic dinner for my wife and I.The staff was fantastic.Hats off to the staff at the Residence Inn for recommending the Clydes! John Steidl"

  • "It was very nice, the food was great, but our waiter was very nice but could have been a little more cordial. Typically nicer restaurants ask is it a special occasion, he didn't. It was our anniversary. No big deal to him of course, but just would have been polite conversation. Otherwise, he did his job superbly."

  • "The waitress lacked enthusiasm! The plate with the gnocci and ribs had quite some grit in it. When the waitress was informed about it, all she could say was: "I'm sorry". Not good enough. It WAS my friend's 40th birthday and I thought there would have been more pizzaz! Just saying ....."

  • "My daughter never recived her kiddie cup, i had to get up and get a glass for her. (daughter is 8) it took the resturante 30+ mins just to bring us cold bread. the portion for their special was very small, not worth the price at all. half a sliced potato and a small piece of rock fish for $20? give me a break. this resturante is overrated."

  • "We are fans of Old Ebbitt in DC. Since we moved to Leesburg, we can't just hop down to DC anymore. After learning that Clyde's owns Old Ebbitt, we were excited to hear about Clyde's at Willow Creek. This might be their best restaurant YET! We love the location, (don't have to fight for parking), loved the ambiance and the food was amazing. We celebrated our anniversary and dessert was on the house! What a nice surprise. The meals were not extraordinarily expensive, as we knew the prices already, and we were prepared to order a cheese plate, entrees, dessert and coffee. We love this restaurant and will return! Yes, we'll be back."

  • "Ask for a back room, they are larger and not as loud. We were in a ft room quite small and with several large parties so the noise was loud. Servers were busy with the larger tables and we as a table for 2 were waiting quite a bit."

  • "Greetings. I dined for lunch at your restaurant purposely twice last week - the 12th and 14th. One was explicitly business with a VIP and the 2nd was both business and social. The meals were delicious and lovely - the service attentive as needed - my OPEN TABLE requests honored as requested - HOWEVER - ON BOTH occassions - we were delivered our entree before we completed our appetizer. Thank you."

  • "Clyde's offers free desserts with entrees with their Wolf Trap ticket envelope coupon, gives us another excuse for a great meal! The specials are always good (Chesapeake Rockfish this month), and Willow Creek has so many different rooms that each meal has a new experience. Good food, good service, and nice environment makes us want to go back more!"
