Great place ... as always. Over the many years we've gone to Clydes we've come to know - and like - the young service people, and Jessica is one of those who deos Clyde's proud. Add to that one-half off a bottle of wine, and you have an unbeatable combination.

It is truly a neighborhood gem, reliable option when we just do not feel like cooking, but want a good home-style meal. This time we just wanted to get together and catch up with old friends, we live in the same neighborhood, but busy non-overlaping schedules make it difficult to find time and just stop by to talk. Clyde's on a Sunday night is a great place for that, relatively full, but not crowded, relaxed and relaxing atmosphere, friendly service, good food - could not ask for more.

Usually Clydes is reliable and our standby. We went for lobster month and were sorely disappointed. The lobsters were clearly under 1/2 pound; they were mushy and rubbery and basically inedible. All that and we waited over 20 minutes for our opentable reservation. All in all, we probably (at least I won't) go back.

I have been going to Clyde's for twenty years. It has always been consistent across all of their locations. This time was no exception. This is my first time to the Reston location. The bar was a bit smaller. When we were there in the late afternoon there were just a few folks in the bar. I imagine it could get crowded and loud. We went to the dining room for dinner. The chili and the crab cakes never disappoint.

The chocolate cake was delicious also -- moist, and iced with chocolate whipped cream instead of it the usual ickyo frosting. Comfortable ambiance, reliably good-to-excellent food, friendly and efficient service. Good for groups because of the range of menu choices -- picky eaters can be satisfied, as well as those with more adventurous tastes. Generally well-seasoned American food, plain and simple or seasonally enhanced, always with the freshest ingredients possible.

It is lobster month at Clydes for both September and October. My friend had the lobster special which was excellent as usual - they even remove the shell upon request. I had the Lobster Pot Pie which was awesome. The topping of the pie was mashed potatoes and there was enough lobster in the pie along with veggies, gravy etc.. It tasted great

I frequent this restaurant often, as well as many of the other Clydes restaurants. I had chosen this location for a birthday celebration and I was very disappointed. Our server was not only doing a poor job, she was rude. We were disappointed by our horrible experience with our service, because the food was excellent per usual. The waitress did things like rush us to make decisions and acted imposed when were just taking our time and enjoying our meal. She kept complaining of being exausted and seemed annoyed when we asked to see a dessert menu. She was annoyed to have to get us refills and made comments like, "I guess." I usually have loved coming to this location, but because of his visit, I won't be too anxious to come back.

We dine at Clydes a lot. It is consistently a pleasant experience. The food is good but never exceptional. The service is attentive and prompt. Stick with the staples like burgers and salads. Always well done. The dinners and small plates are less well done. It's a big help that they take reservations now through Open Table. Used to be a long wait in the past. They handle food allergies perfectly each time. Never an oops or sorry from this team. For that reason we keep coming back. Definitely worth a visit.

Clyde's should be embarrassed of the mussels they served me. I ordered the Appetizer and was given 10 mussels. (Ended up being about a dollar a piece). They tasted terrible, like they were old. Some were so shriveled up they weren't even edible. Very dissatisfied.

The occasion was a meeting for me of a prospective, new client and we chose Clyde's as a centrally located meeting spot, since we both knew the area well and Clyde's reputation....we were not disappointed! Brittany was our server and very knowledgeable of the menu and what alternatives were available for my gluten intolerance AND my guests' diet restrictions. The atmosphere was classic and elegant and the booth was perfect for conducting my proposal meeting, though the surroundings got a bit louder towards the end and it became difficult for me to hear my guest.

When the chef/cook over cooks a steak, it's a good thing when the 2nd steak comes out in minutes and tastes great. That's what happened at my recent visit to Clyde's of Reston. And the waitress scored BIG POINTS by bringing a "doggie bag" and asking if anyone at our party owned a dog so that 1st steak wouldn't have to go into the trash.

I love Clyde's. I have eaten at every one of DC metro restaurants. My favorite is in Tyson's corner. My least favorite is the Reston Town Center. It kind of reminds me of an airport check-in area. If you do not have reservations, expect to sit outside in the sweltering heat (because there is an insufficient amount of seating or standing room in the "lobby"). With that said, make a reservation! The atmosphere can be a little like a sports bar because the bar area is in close proximity to the dining area. The furniture is poor in comparison to the Tyson's Corner restaurant. Some reconditioning is in order - things (seats and tables) are worn down from all the use.

Service was slow despite lunch "population" was diminishing and not too crowded. I had fish and chips. The French fries were lukewarm (fish was hot and okay). Food server was pleasant and attentive, and can't tell whether her serving us was slow or prep of dishes, backstage, was the problem. I've eaten often at Willow Creek where it has been a better experience. I know I should have requested the French fries be heated, but after waiting so long, we wanted to be on our way. The 3 guests (my relatives) were reasonably satisfied with their selections--but had better meals at the Chevy Chase Clyde's. I hope this doesn't sound too grumpy!

Me and my wife are big foodies, and were very impressed with the dishes they had. I used to eat a lot of meat, but am now pretty vegetarian (Some fish and seafood) and I was not dissapointed in the Bowl of Summer. Really taste and very fresh, the Salmon my wife got was very excellent as well. Both dishes were excellent and served pretty quickly. The service was very nice and the ambiance was nice. Outside there was a live band playing music, and the inside was a little noisy as well, but I can't fault them for being very busy. All and all the night was great and most importantly the Mrs. was happy. :)

Overall, my last few experiences with Clyde's of Reston has been a resounding "meh"... The quality of the food always hits its mark, so good on them! The quality of the service is disappointingly and frustratingly inconsistent. This was "the spot to eat" many moons ago, and Clyde's seems to fail to grasp that they are not the only players in town now. My wife and I actually had a debate on whether or not to eat at Clyde's or Mon Ami Gabi (our normal go-to in RTC)...I wanted Clyde's, she wanted MAG. I wish we had got to MAG... First round of drinks took FOREVER! Not one, but TWO separate Managers had to come by and assist our awful waiter for another round of drinks and helping us pay our check. My suggestion: Dine elsewhere!
