  • "Qaint, quite dining setting, but fun bar area. Reliable, enjoyable Clyde's menu."

  • "Good food, GREAT drinks. Clyde's has excellent brunch drink specials, for $4 you can try them all but make sure you get the mint mimosa--delicious and refreshing!"

  • "Dining room showing signs or wear. Food terrible. Used to be a go to place?"

  • "I go to this Clyde's often. This is the first time the service was not very good. I was trying to get the attention of any server being that mine was not around. BUT it will continue to be my go to location when I need a great meal close to home."

  • "A great evening. Great food. Lots of walk-in customers waiting for tables, but we had a reservation and were seated as soon as we walked in - the way it should be done. It is a big place, but lots of different rooms makes it feel much smaller. Great decor."

  • "It wasn't awful, but it wasn't up to the Clyde's experience that I've had in other of its restaurants. My granddaughter and I split an order of a half-dozen oysters--three of each type on the menu. They arrived with no explanation of which was which. I was served a cup of coffee that was weak because it had been brewed as if the urn was full instead of half-full. My granddaughter was served her huge ice cream dessert with no spoon. She finally started eating it with a fork! We took food home. I expected the waiter to offer to box them. Instead, he just brought over containers. Share this note with restaurant."

  • "Clydes wont be setting the world on fire restaurant- wise, but its always dependable and good. The place is comfortable and stress-free which is more than I can say for a lot of places. A great place for dinner when you just want some decent eclectic fare at a moderate price."

  • "We have been to Clyde's many times and keep coming back because it is a hard place to beat. Food is great quality and a great value for the price you pay. Service is excellent, interiors charming and it is always a consistently great experience. We eat out a lot, yet most times we choose to come back to Clyde's because they deliver great food and service. I highly recommend Clyde's!"

  • "Had brunch with two friends recently at Clyde's, Mark Center. The Mark Center Clyde's has a nice, casual atmosphere. The service was quite good: friendly and efficient. The food was good enough, not great, but we were there for the companionship and catching up anyway so the food was not our focus. Overall, I would go again and recommend it to someone for a casual meal."

  • "The food was well prepared and warm when it arrived. I had eggs Benedict which many over or under cook. These were just right. There wasn't too much, but enough to be comfortably filling. Our waiter was very courteous and effecient. I will definitely return."

  • "I liked going to Clyde's because their service and food quality are consistent."

  • "I have always loved Clyde's and having the Mark Center location so near my residence makes this a go to spot for brunch with friends. It is also the place I call for crab cakes when my dad is visiting. I can place the order and pick it up in the bar and get them back to him hot and fresh. He loves them!"

  • "This Clyde's is usually quite good, but on my visit Sunday they were way off their game. The kitchen was in a mental holiday and the food was inedible."

  • "Eating at Clyde's has become an annual tradition and we are never disappointed. It is always a good idea to make a reservation because they are always busy. Never had a bad meal and service is always good."

  • "There are normally many positives about my experience at this restaurant. This particular evening had two negatives. One - my date ordered the Yankee Pot Roast and had to discard at least half the meat as fat. This was totally unacceptable. My own problem is with the New York Strip. I love a good steak, but the New York Strip is not one of them. I ordered it rare, but even rare it was too chewy. My personal preference is a Filet Mignon, which for some reason this restaurant does not feature. A good Filet Mignon is very tender and very enjoyable. Please put this back on the menu."

  • "Our server was excellent, engaging and although busy ensured we were well served."

  • "You always know what you're going to get at Clydes. One huge improvement is their house bread. It's seems like a small part of the meal, but the house bread at Clydes has transformed from a cold, hard hunk of bread that you'd have to gnaw on, to a soft and tasty bread with a nice crust. They also switched butters from cold, hard, refrigerated plastic ramekins of butter to a simple cube of butter with a touch of sea salt sprinkled on top. It's perfection. The quality of house bread might seem unimportant, but when an item is brought to the table, free or not, it needs to be a reflection of the quality of the restaurant, and not be treated as an afterthought. Bravo to Clydes for focusing on the little things that make such a big difference!"

  • "We love this restaurant and have been there several times. Lots of parking available, plenty of tables, and the restaurant is split into several rooms that seems to help reduce the noise. There is an extensive wine list, plenty of reds, but lacking in local wines. With all the hunting artifacts in the room, and the extensive red wines available, we were surprised there was only one steak and two red meat main dishes. There were plenty of fish entres on the menu, but the stuffed trout got mixed reviews. Some did not like that it was served with both the head and tail, and one felt it was not as tasty as previous visits to the restaurant. The wait staff is consistently very pleasant and knowledgeable. We always enjoy this restaurant."

  • "If you're expecting the upbeat vibe of the Clyde's in Georgetown or Chinatown, this will be a disappointment. Waiter paid no attention to us, our clams and oysters were good but nobody explained which was which (in the grand scheme of things that's merely mildly annoying) and our entrees were so small that we came home and made snacks. Such a bummer, but Clyde's of Chinatown and Georgetown are still great."

  • "We go to Clydes at Mark Center every Sunday. You can't beat their brunch menu--delicious!"
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "The service was less than desirable... My wife's meal was cold... Sent it back and got a burger instead... The burger took 30 minutes to make... Everyone was finished eating by the time she received her meal. Again, the service was very bad... The ambiance was great, the hosts were very polite and professional."

  • "My wife and I enjoy going to Clyde's for their monthly special. For this month, it's Chesapeake Bay Rockfish; which is always nicely done and tasty, as it was this time. We typically go on Wednesdays to take advantage of the under $15 bottles of wine special. There are always some good values from a choice of 6-8 whites and reds. We enjoyed the Gravity Hills Chenin Blanc-Riesling, which seemed to pair nicely with our fish and especially the fennel accompaniment. Service was good as usual. We like Clyde's at Mark Center because it's predictable--good ambience, good food, good service and a good value."

  • "Clyde's has been my "go-to" place since the mid-1970's, when I would meet my sister in Georgetown at Clyde's for Sunday brunch. Now I bring my grandchildren to Clyde's, continue to meet friends at any one of the number of Clyde's throughout the DC Metro area. Clyde's has maintained its consistency in good food, great and friendly service, and a variety of decor. Bravo! Clyde's."

  • "Been to Clyde's many times and never had a bad experience. Great food, wonderful service."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "Sometimes we really enjoy Clyde's and this wasn't one. So many things become annoying when the ambiance is ruined by noisy parties that like to hear themselves talk...or yell over their meals. The waiter was distracted so much by that table of 6 that he couldn't concentrate on other tables. People at other tables were obviously annoyed as well. We enjoyed our food as much as possible but couldn't wait to leave because of the tacky conversation and behavior at the table next to us...age 20s to 60s...not kids. The food was well-presented and tasty and the ambiance nice but...was a spoiled evening. Who is going to invent the table side noise monitors so we can all enjoy quiet conversation over our meals and rowdy bar-types are escorted out!"

  • "We used to go to Clyde's Mark Center almost weekly, but by last fall the food was so bad we stopped going altogether. Decided to give them another try last Saturday night. Fried oysters were great. Crab cake is still mostly fillers and quite unappetizing. Not sure if/when we'll go back."

  • "Outstanding Sunday brunch! The Rock fish special was excellent as was the salmon. Service was friendly and responsive but not intrusive. Nice atmosphere."

  • "Clyde's at Mark Center is hit or miss. We have dined here numerous times and had wonderful experiences. This evening's dining experience was not up to par. Our server was very gracious; however, service was disappointing. Cocktails took to long to arrive and courses were not properly timed. My partner enjoyed his soup, brussel sprout/fennel salad and rockfish. However, my steakhouse burger was undercooked and even when returned was still not up to par. Fries with the burger had been cooked for some time and were soggy. Fresh tasty fries arrived when the burger was recooked. The red velvet cake for dessert was not fresh and had been sitting perhaps a day to long in the icebox. We like Clyde's, but wish it was more consistent."

  • "I am a repeat (and demanding) customer here and really enjoy the experience!"
    Dined on 2/23/2014
  • "Clyde's is fine everything is acceptable but not notable. My wife got the crab cakes and she said they were just OK. I had the Onion Soup which was very good. The service was a bit slow but overall the place if fine and not a budget buster."
    Dined on 2/22/2014
  • "Once again we found ourselves here for a quick dinner. Reservations were honored on time even though made only 20 minutes before. The maitake (hen of the woods) mushroom tempura was unusual but quite delicious with its soy-based slightly spicy dipping sauce. Good pulled pork and burger (although ended up without its promised bacon). Service seemed a bit distracted -- maybe not enough severs in our room. But basically the dinner went well, which is what one always hopes for and usually gets at this Clyde's."

  • "I especially appreicate how quiet it was, and that you could hear the other people at your table. food was excellent, as was the service"

  • "I had requested to be seated in front of the fireplace because I knew it was going to be very cold on Saturday evening, and I also thought it would be a very romantic touch to Valentine's. They were going to seat us in a corner where it was cold, and I ask to speak to a Manager, and they gave me this song and dance explanation as to why we could not be seated in front of the fireplace, which in turn my husband and I walked out. They had my request through Open Table for one week, and there was no rhyme or reason that we could not have been seated in front of the fireplace. We will never eat in Clydes again!"
