Clyde Frazier's Wine and Dine
great timeMy boyfriend and i took my mom there on mother's day. She enjoyed herself as much as we did. We even got to shoot some hoops lol. As far as the food goes, there's a good selection. And some vegetarian friendly meals. We ordered chips with guacamole. And the guy literally came to the table and made it for us from scratch.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery fun, energetic atmosphere!Very fun, energetic atmosphere! Loved the decor and friendly staff!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExceeded my expectationsWent there for my 30th b-day, which also coincided with a Knick's playoff game (viewing party). They handed out free Knicks-colored T-shirts and the crowd was so into the game. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, the prices were reasonable (especially for Manhattan) and our waiter couldn't have done a better job. I will 100% be visiting this spot again.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPre-Mother's Day DinnerI am a resident of the building attached to Clyde's so I frequently rely on Clyde Frazier's for a late night burger and beer (The signature cocktail drinks are AMAZING) but I never sit down to dine. However, my Mother is a Knicks fan and I figured the perfect gift would be to watch the Knicks play in Round 2 for Mother's Day. I can always rely on the service, ambience and energy to be superior at Clyde's but I was a tad bit disappointed in our food choices. The creole shrimp and pork ribs were semi-flavorful but the tiny portions were a turnoff because it did not match the "sports bar" attitude the restaurant has. For this reason, I will stick to ordering burgers, french fries and pizzas when visiting.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMMet Clyde Frazier! We went here to watch the Knicks' first second round game. Overall,we really liked it and will go back. Icing on the cake - Clyde came to the restaurant after the game and went around to great guests and take pictures! Good to see that he appreciates his patrons.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent FoodThis was our second time at Clyde's Wine & Dine. It is so much more than a sports bar. The food and service are excellent. Very nice cocktails. It has something for everyone. It has an upscale vibe to it yet you can wear a basketball jersey if you'd like.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMSwanky Sports BarClyde Frazier's Wine and Dine is awesome! I went there twice in one week. The ambience and decor is amazing!!! Food is eclectic and delicious. Service is fast and friendly. I couldnt think of a better way to watch any sports game!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMPlayoffs at ClydesEnergy is eveident from the door. The only low spot was that my table was on an aisle and i was constanltly nudged by passing staff members. Someone hit my chair at least once every 10 mins which can be annoying when eating and watching the game for over 2 hours!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWine and Dine was the perfectWine and Dine was the perfect pre-game spot on Wednesday. The food was fantastic and I had two of the most delicious mojitos that I have ever tasted. The steak fajitas and guacamole were fabulous and the atmosphere was fun. We will definitely be back.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best place u can go andThe best place u can go and enjoy ur self please go4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe came here at the requestWe came here at the request of my 79 year old father who had somehow heard that Clyde Frazier had a restaurant in nyc. He is a big fan and had a wonderful time. It was timed perfectly- during the playoffs- so very large, crowd and buzz. They passed out free tee shirts during the evening. I bought my father an autographed basketball- he was thrilled! Even my mother was thrilled and bought two tee shirts for friends.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for dinner, sports buff or noWent there for dinner for the first time with a group of four. Menu isn't vast, but has a great range from pub food to standard entrees. Everything was delicious and the service was fast and pleasant. One of us spilled water over another's entree - which was replaced rapidly and cheerfully. For sports buffs, the walls are lined with screens showing what's happening: not a bad seat in the house!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent atmosphere to watchExcellent atmosphere to watch a sports event (was there for Knick game). Great ambiance, a very elegant restaurant and sports bar rolled into one.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect dinner spot beforePerfect dinner spot before a game at MSG. He got o play ball with his friends and enjoy the stumbling bubbly drink. Food was delicious and the service was prompt. We even had the chance to meet Walt himself. Down to earth and the best is you don't have to dress up. Its got the ambiance of a lounge but the heart of a knick fan4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome. The service was terrificAwesome. Great service, huge portions and a lot of TVs.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe BBQ chicken and ribs wereThe BBQ chicken and ribs were both outstanding. One of the moistest chickens I have ever had. Our server was not so nice, she sort of rushed us and was no more friendly than taking the order. I would go back for the food and the manager was very very nice.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a Surprise! We had a great time here, after spending the entire day in the city at the javitz center, we found this restaurant. We have always been followers of the Knicks and grew up watching the Knicks win in the 70's. Little did we know that Clyde would walk in. After dinner we got to spend some fabulous meet and greet time with him. Took wonderful pictures. Made my sons day as well as my husband & I. Great to reminisce.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a great night. MyIt was a great night. My son took a picture with Walt Frazier! That was exciting. The food was excellent. Will visit again if in the area.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMOur train was late but theyOur train was late but they held our table for us on a busy pre-Knicks game Friday night. Loved the warm rolls -- refilled without asking. Had a gourmet meal and still made it to the Garden in time for the tip-off. The decor is cutting edge AND nostalgic for a middle-aged mama like me, who had the privilege of seeing Clyde play back in the day.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, but pricey.Clyde Frazier's Wine and Dine is delicious. However delicious as it was, the prices are insane. I ordered a shrimp dish for $29, but it only came with 5 pieces! Definitely not worth the pricey tag of $29, but it was very yummy. Left me hungry, which is not what a $29 dish should do. That's my only complaint. Other than that, great service, great atmosphere.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMI have eaten here twice andI have eaten here twice and both meals were prepared timely and were delicious. The indoor Bball hoop is a lot of fun for kids and adults. Look forward to going again.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food and service. NiceGood food and service. Nice atmosphere. Food very good, waiter very helpful - admitting when he was not sure of something and then enthusiastic to check with chef. Lamb Osso Buco different, very meaty and especially delicious. Evening was quiet, not sure what noise level may be on a busier night. We arrived at 7:30 pm stayed till close to midnight and we were not rushed to leave. Lovely evening.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best sports restaurant in NYCWithout a doubt this is the place to go have great food and watch a game. It's not the usual sports bar. This is a place you can comfortably take a date and converse without shouting. Two downsides, the location is less than convenient and the check can get pricey--but the food is excellent, the wine list has some really nice selections, and Clyde is often around to greet guests, take pics and sign autographs. For sports watching, wining and dining it gets my highest recommendation. [Note, my 5-star rating is for comparison purposes against all other similar places. It's not meant to say that it's the best overall restaurant in the City.]1/31/2013 12:00:00 AM
