Club LuckyMother's Day BrunchWe had a large group of 19 for Mother's Day brunch. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating. Food was fantastic, abundant and still fresh even though our reservations were around when their Brunch ended.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMHomerun for Mother's DayThis is going to be our new tradition for Mother's Day. The food was absolutely amazing. We have four little ones amongst us all ranging from 8 down to 2. The atmosphere couldn't have been better. Laid back, casual setting and nice staff. The noise level is - as they say - energetic, but that is to be expected in such a nice, group-friendly setting. Mom (and Dad) were incredibly pleased and the family has picked a new go-to spot for a lovely Mother's Day brunch.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Mother's Day Brunch! This was the second year in a row we chose to have Mother's Day brunch at Club Lucky. It's just too great of a value to pass up. The food is absolutely delicious & the service is great. Last year it was warm enough to eat outside on the patio & that was such a pleasant experience. This year we were disappointed that the weather wasn't warm enough for outdoor dining, but we were very happy with the indoor ambiance as well. It's a diner, nothing fancy, but it has kind of a hip vibe. One of those great Chicago hidden gems.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Italian Neighborhood GemAll around great dinner. Everything was delicious. Music was awesome. Staff made us feel special.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMclub lucky hit all the rightclub lucky hit all the right notes...it has a really great retro 60's feel...from the moment we walked in the staff was warm and articulate...very nice table spacing...lot's of roomy booths which are always awesome for privacy and conversation...the food was exceptional...i had linguine with clams...my wife had eggplant parmigiana and it's hard to imagine them being any better!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot for dinner!Club Lucky is a great sport for dinner with a group. They were a little late in seating us, but we did have a last minute change to our party size and the bar was a fun place to wait. The food was very good and the setting is very charming. Will definitely return!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSecond time there. ExcellentSecond time there. Excellent food. Service was wonderful. Called to let them know I would be 15 minutes late. That was jonproblem. Place was packed. Was seated right away.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMy team was catered to veryMy team was catered to very well and I was informed they were given a back conference room to dine in. I really appreciated this as they were looking to talk business as well. I would absolutely start using this for every business dinner meeting we might have going forward.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was a great find. FoodThis was a great find. We will definitely recommend it and be back.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMClub Lucky is a wonderfulClub Lucky is a wonderful neighborhood place. Great food and the best jukebox in Chicago.
We will be back.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMIf the noise wasn't so badIf the noise wasn't so bad it would have been perfect!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome Service, great foodAwesome Service, great food and cool atmosphere. So accomadating and responsive with special food requests.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been coming to ClubWe've been coming to Club Lucky for years. The food is excellent, service is fantastic and the atmosphere is usually wonderful. The only issue I have is for some reason we were seated in an area that the waiter said was right over the diswasher, which is in the basement. Throughout the entire dinner it felt like we were sitting on top of a truck engine. He indicated that the entire side of the building was the same. I have to say, we've sat on that side of the building before and never had an issue. They did offer to change our table and it wasn't really a huge deal, but if you are going there for a romantic dinner as we were its something to be conscious of.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of my wife's favorites....neverOne of my wife's favorites....never disappointing....hard to get in at the last minute and a bit noisy....due to the hustle and bustle. Our guests were very impressed and their daughter is a chef at another Chicago restaurant. Keep up the good work and see you again.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMlove the food and servicelove the food and service was great! it would be nice -just a suggestion - to have a few dishes that are a bit more affordable. it isn't easy for everyone to get out often with today's economic situation and it would be a shame to have some good customers not pick Club Lucky when they go out only because it is outside of their budget for the week. just a thought. Otherwise, it was a great dining experience. i'll be back and next time with more friends!!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMartinis and MeatballsThe coolest bar in Chicago! A jukebox that features Sinatra and Sly (and the family Stone)! Great martinis and service. Well worth the cab ride off the beaten path.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMYUMTucked in among the streets of Bucktown, Club Lucky is a perennial favorite that has remained solid throughout the years. The bar out front cranks out excellent martinis you can drink while sitting in the classic red banquettes in a sort of 40s-50s decor.
Now the food: fresh, crusty, warm Italian bread and buttor or delicious oil that seems as though it's flavored with giardinara peppers. I could drink the stuff...savory eggplant parmesan, a thinly sliced square of heaven with a side of pasta/marinara that nana could have made, melrose pepper salad or the house salad--a beautiful and luscious mixture expertly tossed with the finest ingredients, including sicilian olives, roasted peppers, parmesan cubes and dressed perfectly.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been to Club Lucky manyWe've been to Club Lucky many times -- great food and terrific waitstaff. The only thing marring this visit was that the lighting was dimmed way too low -- we had to use flashlights in order to read the menu. Having to strain to read the menu took away from the ambience that night. I would recommend that management pay a little more attention to how low the lights are -- it was annoying and awkward to read the menus that way. We had not encountered that problem previously.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
