Staff very attentive, zippo de pesc was good, but pasta came on a separate plate, I preferred it over the pasta. filet mignon & shrimp presented well, and taste good. Drinks were on spot. Beautiful atmosphere & well decorated. Some menu items over priced. However will return again.

Had a splendid dinner. I ordered the stuffed filet of sole. Beautifully presented, marvelously prepared with a crab stuffing , the restaurant to go to if you like fish, any kind of fish. 'Wait service was great. Waiter very knowledgeable and very condescending. Nice setting but may be a little too dark. We complained when someone lowered lights even more and that was corrected immediately. Hate to have to search for your plate.

Service was slow and steak was fatty and over priced for the quality. The bar had a few over served middle aged men that were hard to avoid. They need a NYC manager and staff, the local pizza polar has better service and is run more efficiently. You can't charge those food prices and then cater to the bar crowd as much as you do. On a Saturday night there was no management obvious presence or oversight and the wait staff is oddly delegated that they appear apathetic and have no ownership.

We came with high expectations but were disappointed with the food we ordered steak frite and tilled seafood. Steak was tough and fish bland. Mixed drinks were Inconsistent one drink to the next. Overall, not a positive experience and not good value. Server was very professional. A positive.

A friend recommended this hidden gem for a nice date night. She was correct in that the atmosphere inside is not what you would have expected....elegant, charming. The service was also fantastic. Unfortunately, the emanadas appetizer was soaked in grease/oil. We love emanadas but these were unedible. The waiter took them off the bill, which was a nice gesture. The main course came, beautiful presentation. We both ordered steak, him a sirloin and I had the filet with grilled shrimp. Both steaks were over cooked, but the flavor was not terrible. My filet was served in more of a bowl shape with lots of juice, veggies and sautéed mushrooms.

Both of our dishes were somewhat dry. Service was very attentive. The restaurant is lovely. It's worth a second visit.

Club car had been my favorite go to dining destination in Mamaroneck. The decor is a cut above any other neighborhood restaurants, the staffing is polite, helpful and respectful and the food does not disappoint. Best choices are chops - wine list covers the necessary choices and is reasonably priced. Service is attentive and appropriate. It is my favorite local destination.

Our first time there. I had read of the hubbub surrounding this restaurant when it first opened and am glad I waited. We got right in, got the table we wanted after making our reservation online, and our waitperson Christie was top notch. Our drinks were excellent, my specified Sidecar especially. Thank you Christine the bartender. Calamari was excellent, the salad I had was good, as was the grey sole special my SO had. Dessert of tres leche cake with two kinds of ice was also outstanding. The remodeled train station is also very nice. Parking is free. My 'only' complaint - price. Dinner for two (one appetizer, one salad, one entree - one side, no starch, one dessert, two coffees) was $115. with tip.

Although this restaurant is visually pleasing, and the food is ok, it is somewhat discerning to see the chef hanging out at the bar not once but twice during the dining hours that I was there, talking to customers at the bar. It is also good for customer relations to give a table location to the customer who asked for that particular one and not try to fill up a certain part of the restaurant first.

We had the kind of experience that is common when eating in fine dining restaurants in Westchester. Some of the waitstaff is extremely inexperienced and barely speak English. They brought us a bread basket of stale toasted baguette grilled with butter and sliced lengthwise. It was unrecognizable and inedible. When we asked for fresh bread, we got perplexed reactions. What kind of bread, with butter? It came sliced lengthwise again, a no-no in any decent restaurant. That said, the food itself was excellent and dishes were well prepared. But the atmosphere was not sophisticated eatery, but suburban steakhouse.

We dined at Club Car as it was our Anniversary and we live in Mamaroneck. The food was good however, the service was not good. The staff were all friendly and smiley but we waited a long time for just about everything. I am not sure if they were short staffed that night but it was a bummer. I remember (when the restaurant first opened) eating there another time, and our group came away feeling the same. I feel like we gave them a second chance.

The interior of Club Car is very attractive. We were fortunate enough to be seated next to the side door on a beautiful day and it was like sitting outside. The brunch selection was good, ranging from individual cereal boxes to satisfy the numerous children at the restaurant to eggs Benedict, French toast, custom omelets and a carving station. My favorites were the raw bar with very fresh clams, oysters and steamed shrimp, and the dessert bar with lovely small sweets. I would have liked to see more fruit than just the apple and melon salad but no one will leave here hungry. Our server was very pleasant, professional and attentive. My latte was excellent even if it wasn't included in the $39 buffet.

I don't get the negative reviews. I've been here numerous times and always had a lovely experience. The drinks are very good. The menu is diverse and changes seasonally. The dining room is just beautiful, so lovely to look and enjoy the lighting and décor. Service is usually good. Sometimes they fail to keep up but usually they keep things going at a good pace. Food is generally very good, I love the baked clams and the pork chop. Carrot cake bread pudding is to die for. Overall I find it's a very solid place with great food and drinks and good, friendly service. Never tried brunch, only dinner.

Always love coming back to Club Car, especially on Wine Wednesdays (every bottle on the wine list is half price). The food is always consistently good with interesting specials. The only nitpick on this latest visit is our waiter was terribly under trained and the manager (who I spoke to privately) didn't seem interested in knowing this important piece of feedback. The information coming from the waiter as to specifics on the menu (especially the bar offerings) was comically incorrect. Service is a key component of the dining experience and our experience was less than stellar because of the lack of it.

I do love the look of the renovated 1888 train station at the Club Car. The ceilings are very tall and tin and the flower arrangements are also allowed then to be tall and pretty. The noise reverberates pretty loudly tho and my husband had a hard time hearing. The food is ok but rather nondescript, I expected more flavour from chef MacMenamin. The service is always outstanding and makes for a nice evening. All in all a nice place to meet friends for drinks and have something to nibble, the lighting is nice and the music with a Frank Sinatra bent was perfect for the setting.

This is the fourth time at this restaurant. The first time was excellent - four people. The second was OK - four people. The third with three people one was very good, one was just OK, and one was a piece of way overcooked salmon. This past Tuesday with four people one dish was good and three were not. This is a pricey restaurant to serve so-so food. There is no price value relationship here. I would hesitate to return.

Beautiful restaurant. The decor is stunning: from the tin ceiling to the old fireplace. I wish it wasn't so bright though. Food was fresh and phenomenal. Our waiter knew his stuff but staff kept their distance. We had difficulty at times to receive service, our drinks took a long time considering the place was less than half full. But that won't stop us from returning.

for the price of this brunch, they should include one free drink, not charge another price to have said drink. the only food that I thoroughly enjoyed was the french toast and the black bean salad. the service was not consistent, the waiter we had never checked back on us. there should have been more non-pork breakfast choices. what I suggest is having brunch sit down service, not buffet. Will never come back and will not recommend brunch time. Although my sister enjoyed dinner here once.
