"Whole lobsters, 1.2,3, pound available! Or prime rib, too. We go here for lobster tail and steak combo, (or you can get two, 7 oz tails) Portions can vary each time, which may be expected......but it is well prepared and tasty. Potatoes are huge, sweet or baked-included with meal, but not a vegetable. Order salad separately.....an appetizer of crab cakes is 90% crab ! Recent remodel near entry/ kitchen give it a better vibe, updated look. Moorings and park shore residents get discounts with their residents club card."

"Cloyd's has been a favorite of ours for many years - each time we visited Naples, we would have dinner there. Not anymore. We arrived with a party of 6 to a limited menu - was not advised of that in advance. Lamb on the Easter Menu was out of stock at 6:00, as was green beans (wouldn't think overstocking them would be a big expenditure. Waiter totally forget taking one person's in the party's order. Said he was tired from working all day - again it was 6:00.We were embarrassed(we suggested the restaurant) and will not go back.Thanks for asking."

"first time for everything, ordered leg of lamb, was told all orders would be midium rare, it was served color of shoe leather (gray brown} and I was told it is as rare as can be served. I still like Cloyde's"

"This restaurant came highly recommended as a great seafood restaurant and I will admit the crab cake was delicious. The other side dish I really enjoyed was the smashed cauliflower. This restaurant did not highlight MANY seafood items as we expected and had many meat entrees that didn't look or sound like what a foodie would be happy with. The clientele were mostly senior citizens and I expect that that's whose palate they were appealing towards (lightly seasoned and not very adventuresome). The views are spectacular and having a table by the window was a huge plus."

"We were stuffed in the dining room like sardines. The waiter couldn't even make it all the way around the table to serve us. My 87 year old guest was bumped by other guests trying to get to their seats several times. I had to ask for drawn butter for my $52 lobster. Really, for $52, that should be delivered with the lobster on time. We also had to ask for condiments for the sweet potato side dishes. The tiramisu didn't even resemble tiramisu. The full bar didn't have mint leaves for Mojitos, either. Not worth the money."

"It appeared to be an unusually slow evening, staff said that snowbirds were starting to leave and it was a Sunday so the noise level and bar scene could be different at other times. Food was prepared as requested, the prime rib was delicious. We had a nice table overlooking the water which would be great at sunset. And the prices were more reasonable than some of the 5th Avenue alternatives."

"We visited Cloyd's on Sunday and were disappointed in the food. The steaks and prime rib were not of great quality but they were quite expensive. The prime rib was ordered medium rare but was quite tough and over-done. I quipped that it tasted like it had been cooked the previous evening and then used again on Sunday. 3 of our party of 5 ordered steaks and all said they were OK but nothing special, especially for prices $40 each. The service and ambiance were very good.
I think a meal for 5 people with a check for $310 should be better even in the affluent Naples area."
