I dined at cloves on friday night. I am indonesian living in the area, and for the past few years, its been hard finding quality indonesian food anywhere in town. I ordered the corn fritter and the island style fried noodle (bakmi jawa). Its as good as i had it back in Jakarta. Prices are reasonable, generally not too expensive and its casual dining. waitress service is commendable and friendly in general.
    Special Features:
fit for foodies, good for groups, kid-friendly, neighborhood gem, special occasion, great for lunch

I hate to write such a negative review, but our experience at Cloves was really not good. 1) it's kind of awkward, awful space. 2) The food seemed like it was being reheated in a microwave after being prepared at another location. 3) The server was well-intentioned but only marginally competent, and the overall operation seemed more like a confused, just-opened food cart than a professional restaurant one would book for a meal on a Friday night. I love Indonesian food, and was excited to discover a new option close to my home, but sadly I don't think I'll be going back to Cloves.
