  • "The early bird specials are a wonderful deal and food is great. Loved the salmon!"

  • "My chilean sea bass was excellent. My cousin loved her blackened catfish. The restaurant is beautiful. Great for casual dining outside. Great for more dressy, upscale dining in the main dining room. My go to place when in the desert!"

  • "My steak was tender and tasty and my wife's scallops were delicious"

  • "Every time we go, we ask to speak with the Sommelier -- who has pulled together an amazing wine list with so many interesting and hard to find wines -- he never fails us in his recommendations. We were lucky enough this last time to have a bottle of the 1999 Moraga White. Even if you know a lot about wine, its definitely worth having a conversation with him."

  • "Cliff house dining room is a nice place unless you are placed in near the kitchen area. We heard servers talking to each other. Glasses were breaking. Our server never checked on our food...wife filet was charred on the outside so it was hard for her to enjoy it. I had the need ribs and they were great. I would think twice before I go back there."

  • "Excellent seating. Service prompt. Salads refreshing with exception of one. It was taken off the bill. Entrees were superb, Fish Stew tasty & plentiful. Chilean Sea Bass was definitely one of the best I have ever eaten. Can't wait to go back and have it again. The Salmon is one of their mainstays. You can always count on it to be delicious. Dessert was monstrous, but ended our meal with flair."

  • "We really enjoyed the food and ambience of the restaurant. The menu is fairly large....lots of selection especially fish dishes. The seafood stew is one of the best in the desert."

  • "We made a reservation for 5:15 so that we could take advantage of the 4:30-5:30 Sunset Special. For just $19.95 it includes soup or salad and an entrée. The selection of entrees was great and there was something for everyone. The wedge salad was also an excellent selection. Everyone in our party had an excellent meal. Next time we go back (and we will!) we will request an outside table near the waterfall. The atmosphere inside and outside this restaurant is fantastic!"

  • "Cliffhouse is run by the same company than Pacifica. The menus have similarities but nevertheless both are very good. The view from the dining room is outstanding, we were seated promptly at a great table despite the restaurant being very busy. A must to visit when in Palm Desert"

  • "Tuna tartare and the beet salad are both outstanding. Service was very attentive. The house wines were fairly priced and nice quality."

  • "We always go to the Cliffhouse each time we come to the coachella valley area and we love it every time. The baked oysters are the best and so are the crab stuffed shrimp."

  • "We were in from out of town and Cliffhouse was recommended by family local. We met up with family and had a lovely evening. Food was good, service excellent, all around enjoyable experience. Menu had a nice lovely selection with variability to fit everyone's likes."

  • "I have previously given this restaurant a 5 star rating until our last res. We had a 6:30 res. for outside eating. We were told we could wait for 15 min. for an outside seat - we said fine. After 30 minutes, we were seated in a side area against a wall and door. Our guests from Michigan had a view of the men's restroom door !. After telling our friends how great the Cliffhouse was, we were sorry we took them there."

  • "We chose the Cliff House to treat our husbands for their 65th birthday dinner celebration. The staff was very attentive and took care of every detail, including a delectable dessert which was a totally unexpected surprise for all of us. It was a wonderful dining experience and I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Palm Springs"

  • "We dined there Mar 26 th and we were a group of 3 couples. We had a round table which is great for socializing. The menu had something for everyone including the beer and wine list. Our meals were scallops, salmon, duck and steak. All the food was excellent. Our server could have been a little more attentive but I should add it was a very busy night. Reserving through Open table was very convenient and the Cliffhouse was ready for us when we arrived."

  • "The service was good. The staff was attentive but not in the way. Enjoyed the evening."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "The food was just ok but the drinks were weak or watered down. I ordered a greyhound and I couldn't believe how awful it tasted. I would have expected fresh squeezed grapefruit juice since there are literally thousands of grapefruit trees growing in the area. The service was just ok, because everything came out to our table all at once. So we're eating our wedge salad while our chicken is losing heat on the table. An experienced server knows the sequence that diners appreciate."

  • "We got there on time, needed to wait 15 minutes for a table. Gave us a table on the side room, OK. Then the manager came over and advised he had a quieter table in the private dining room if we wanted to change. What a great decision to change, much nicer table and much quieter. Dinner was good, very tasty but portion (Chilean sea bass) was very small portions and looked like it was just thrown on the plate. Other friends dinners were OK, not exceptional but acceptable. We enjoyed the evening the atmosphere was very nice especially after they moved us."

  • "Tucked against (literally) the base of a mountain in La Quinta this restAurant has a view to die for! Sunset here is gorgeous and it's an experience simply walking in. The IPad-featured wine list is both fun and extensive with a great variety in both price and varietals. The service was very nice and the food generally was fine. I had sea bass that was strong and had some bones in it. I suspect it was not examined properly before preparation. A nice place and fun."

  • "We had tuna tartar appetizer and would go again just for that! Then I had scallops, wife had seared tuna. Both were excellent. Lively environment. Great architecture with unique art and sculptures. Relaxed friendly staff. Everything exceeded expectations. And it was half off wine night, so the excellent wine list was basically at grocery retail prices. We will definitely return"

  • "Hidden in the rocks, the approach sets the scene for a lovely evening. I particularly like climbing the stone steps past the waterfall on a warm evening. Don't worry, you can take the elevator if you're not up to the easy climb. This has always been our "go-to" restaurant as the food is good and they have a very good wine selection. It's a lovely place to see the sun go down behind the scenic mountains...."
    Dined on 3/26/2014
  • "We had very poor service. Dirty dishes weren't cleaned away and water and other beverages were not refilled."

  • "We brought friends from out of town to dinner. We were cheerfully greeted and seated right away. Our server Eric was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the various dishes, and wine. He helped making our choices easy. Our guests loved the scenery and vision of the restaurant. The food, wine, desset were all outstanding! Thanks to all for making our experience such a wonderful time!"

  • "On a recent trip to Palm Desert, our hotel concierge suggested this restaurant. We were meeting up with family for my dads 86th Bday. It was everything we could have hoped for. The ambience, decor and view were great and the service even better. Everyone was delighted with their menu selections. We will definitely return when we are in the area!"

  • "Asked for patio seating, was put out in the back patio with our table facing the stairs & parking lot, not what I was expecting. Other than that everything else was fine, a little slow at first but our waiter made up for it."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "This was our second time in a month. Diverse food selections, even for our vegan Very courteous at checkin and accommodated our fussy table request. Half price wine night makes it reasonable to enjoy decent wine. Hate the mandatory valet parking."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "Great place for leisurely dinner. The sugar spiced salmon is their signature dish and was delicious! Dining on the patio made for a perfect evening."
    Dined on 3/18/2014
  • "The food was excellent. I had the salmon which had a rub on it, very moist and flavorful. The service was great as we had a party of 6. My husband had the ribs and loved them. Great setting as the restaurant is built into the cliff. My first time there, enjoyed my evening. They were very busy but service was just fine as we were busy catching up."
