  • "The service was excellent and great food. Friendly helpful staff. Bar menu was priced very well."

  • "We always look forward to a wonderful meal and choose to order from the early bird portion of the menu, available before 6 during the summer months. A birthday discount of $25 came in the mail after we joined the special points program offered by Cliffhouse and Pacifica. Thank You"

  • "Reminded me of relaxed European dining where I had time to savor all the rich flavors and textures of the food and wine while sharing conversations with friends. The extensive wine list was presented on a tablet allowing me to see the vintner's labels, providing instant recognition. We only experienced dinner, not lunch nor the bar. It was in the middle of the summer, so elected not to sit outside (it was over 100 degrees F). But the ambience all around was delightful. The house is nestled in amongst the boulders of the cliff, providing a unique romantic setting."

  • "Cliffhouse has done a nice turnaround and under new Pacifica ownership has elevated their quality, service and ambiance. We are enjoying it once again."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed your restaurant! As locals we will be back. Dunc"

  • "I am thinking of making my third visit in the last ten days, with a guest this Sunday night. The special dinner priced at $19.95 from 5 to 6 is wonderful. I have had the salmon and the short ribs and both were excellent. I like the main dinning room, side rooms leave a little to be desired."

  • "I was visiting the area on a conference and found this place using google maps. I had my niece with me and we had a wonderful dinner but I could totally see my husband and I having a wonderful romantic dinner here. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced during their sunset dinner option. If I am ever in the area I would definitely return!"

  • "The seafood was really tasty and the service was very good."

  • "With many restaurants closed throughout the summer in the Palm Springs area, definitely plan on dining at Cliffhouse La Quinta. The staff make patrons feel valued, summer menu offers many dining specials, and every evening the bar offers bargains on alcohol and bar menu. What we like most is that the Restaurant Managers are very visible and switched-on. They will ensure that your dining experience exceeds your expectation."

  • "My hubby Jordan and I were entertaining our friend Mike from New Hampshire, where fresh seafood abounds. Hubby and Mike each had the stuffed shrimp, and I had baked sea bass. All seafood was cooked perfectly, and the accompanying veggies were appropriate to the main protein. Platiing was equally careful, and the whole meal was both visually and gastronomically superb."

  • "We love the early bird menu...salmon grilled and great salad! 5 to 6 pm"

  • "Brought the family for the "early dinner" special. The kids (pre-teens) had lots to choose from on the kids menu and really liked the ice cream sundae at the end - even though they had to get "dressed up" for dinner. My wife and I both enjoyed the "signature salmon" entrée with our salads included in the "special". Nice atmosphere and a cool view. Wait staff was EXCELLENT which really added to the experience. We'll go again then next time we are in town."

  • "Outstanding evening. The Japanese Chowder was excellent. But the true winner was the Sugar Spiced Salmon - outstanding! Add Rebecca, our waitress, who treated us with enthusiasm and a never-ending smile - and the evening was just superb!"

  • "Take advantage of the half priced special from their entire bottle wine list which is offered one day each week."

  • "Great Food and Great Service and Great Ambiance. Eat there almost once a week. Best bar in the desert next to Pacifica. View is Super Spectacular. Love it in the summer as there is less of a wait. If they improved the Misting and Fans outside patio would be a great place to sit on the not so super hot late afternoons."

  • "Mr. Christmas (Manager) made us feel special, for our anniversary dinner, and went out of his way to do so! It was very much appreicated by both of us."

  • "Took my son, daughter-in-law and grandson here for late dinner on the 4th of July. Food was excellent, as always, and staff dimmed the lights so patrons could see the fireworks display - loved it! Try the crème brulee, perfectly balanced textures, an amazing finale!"

  • "We had been to the restaurant years ago and wanted to try it this go around while we were in the desert. Pleasantly surprised. Food and service were very good. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend the flat iron steak. Soup was great, even on a hot evening. Kudos to Rebecca our server."

  • "dined on the early side. Had great service until the dining room filled and then the larger tables got more/better service. Salmon was moist and attractive presentation."

  • "The food is excellent, from appetizers to dessert. Well-prepared, some unique flavors, and beautiful presentation. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The drink menu is broad and includes a few unusual gems. I highly recommend it."

  • "We went for my girlfriend's birthday. We both were really pleased with our dinners - she had the salmon and I had the lamb shank. She had the house white wine and thought it was excellent. I had a draft beer and no complaints. We shared an excellent dessert. Service was excellent as well. Will definitely go back."

  • "We enjoyed our drinks and dinner at the bar last week. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The food was good, although I thought the baked artichoke appetizer was a bit greasy with a mayonnaise sauce under it and it was smothered in melted cheese with a bread stuffing inside. It was difficult to eat. My scallops were delicious as was the ice cream pie for dessert! We will definitely be back!"

  • "The staff was most accommodating. We were seating next to a window in a large room away from the bar scene. Noise level was quiet til the evening wore on & more diners joined us in the room. Our young lady who took our orders and followed up to make sure nothing was lacking is a great asset to your restaurant. We had a wondering evening dining with our friends. Thank you and yes, we will return in the near future."

  • "When I travel I always look for something new and different. This restaurant came to me through a friend and so we decided to give it a try. The parking lot was full at 5:30 pm when we arrived. Didn't realize they have an old folks option and it was jammed with them. All for $19.95. Anyway, we ordered the rib eye steaks which were just OK. Not cooked as we asked but we didn't make a big deal of it. Our waitress was excellent and at the end of the evening offered us their signature dessert on the house in compensation for the steak fiasco. We were full from the meal but decided to take her up on it. Disappointed a manger spent time with regulars and no time to say hello to new people. Big mistake on his part. We might not come back."

  • "Due to my wife's small appetite, we split the 14 oz steak and a Caesar salad, and the staff was kind enough to put the order on separate plates. We found the tablet to order wine system a bit confusing which resulted in waiting too long to receive our drinks."

  • "This was our first visit to the Cliffhouse since the major remodel and new ownership. Everything was spectacular--love the redesign of the restaurant and bar areas, the food was delicious, our server attentive and knowledgable. Couldn't have been better. Nice crowd for a Monday night--I'm looking forward to checking out the bar scene sometime. Don't miss the baked parmesan artichoke--even out of season it's so tasty. And the Japanese clam chowder (not cream or potato-based) was unique and delicious. We'll be back!"

  • "Not only was the food fabulous, nice presentation and excellent bargain ($19.95 Sunset Dinner) but the service was also great thanks to Shelby. Was a little difficult to visit when it got crowded - noise level a bit much."

  • "Tuck up against and into a small mountain, the Cliffhouse offers a beautiful setting with a spectacular view of the valley. This setting and view sets the bar for expectations on a fantastic meal, which will be easily met. The service is great, the food spectacular and the ambience is perfect. With a very nice wine and cocktail selection to start, they offer a nice selection of appetizers - I strongly recommend their grilled, stuffed artichoke or their beet salad. This visit, I had the scallops which were seared just perfectly atop a very nice cream sauce; my guest chose the shortribs which had an unbelieveable flavor. While the menu has mostly a seafood selection, for those who prefer other than fish, you have a nice selection"

  • "Excellent choice for those that enjoy a Flemings or Ruths' Chris level of food, but with much nicer views!"

  • "It may have been our waitress but she was slow, inattentive and did not listen. She started her "pitch" with "Welcome to the Cliffhouse, I'm great thanks for asking." Not sure who asked but we all looked at each other not sure if it was a joke... but she continued on speaking. She made a recommendation on one dish which was ordered and was a pitiful chicken breast too tough to cut. Drink refills were only given when requested. One of the five asked and only they were brought a refill. Not sure we'll be running back there anytime soon."

  • "Since the change in ownership and management we have been to the Cliffhouse a few times and each time we visit we vow to go back more frequently. We made a last minute reservation for dinner on Father's Day and were so happy we were able to get in even though they were very busy. Our server, Teresa, was just terrific and, not sure how to better describe her personality other than elegant! She greeted us warmly, graciously described the specials of the day and just made us feel welcome and comfortable. I ordered the artichoke appetizer which is the best I have ever had-Anywhere-it is loaded with cheese and delicious!! It was like an artichoke pizza without the crust!! The special prime rib was amazing!! Can't wait to return!!!"

  • "We ate here before years ago and food was so-so. New ownership changed the menu and our meal, fish, was simply wonderful."

  • "The restaurant is lovely. The service was good. The food was mediocre. We were 4 people and had the sundown dinner for $19.75. The Japanese clam chowder had no flavor and tasted more like mushroom gravy than a soup. I sent mine back and got the caesar salad in place of it. The sour dough bread was the highlight of the dinner. Very good. The sugar/spice salmon was tasty, but again, average. The mashed potatoes were soupy in texture. The green beans were good. We have been there before and liked the food, this time we were very disappointed. OUr friend were there for the first time, and they probably will not return. Something was off. I don't think we will go there again."
