Clementine - BaltimoreOur 2nd Awesome ExperienceThis place is truly a hidden gem in Hamilton. This is the 2nd time my girlfriend and I have dined mid-week here for dinner, and we're always seated right away and are served promptly. The service is fun and energetic and the food is BY FAR my favorite when it comes to dining out. Although the prices are a little on the steep side, it's TOTALLY worth it every few weeks. Their homemade sodas, such as sparkling rosemary lemonade or their lime basil mix are worth getting 2 or 3 of. Try some of their Zeke's coffee, as well! I can't say enough good things about this place, and each time I've been here, I leave looking forward to the next time I'll visit. The menu changes often, which is a huge plus. I'm thinking that we're trying breakfast next.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMEveryone enjoyed the food;Everyone enjoyed the food; however, the portion size for the vegetable linguine was quite small. That diner was still hungry after finishing her meal. The soft crab was quite small also but was delicious and prepared perfectly. The pork dishes were done to perfection. Overall, everyone enjoyed the meal.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat DiningYou can tell a real chef is working in the kitchen. Innovative menu and presentation. They even use unicorn tears in their recipes!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMNice experienceWent for an early dinner on a Saturday. The food was well prepared, flavorful and came to the table HOT (not a fan of being served Luke warm food). Our server was attentive but not overbearing. Just a note that the menu options change daily so don't get married to what you see on the website5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMLives up to its good reputationI knew Clementine was known for its charcuterie, and the charcuterie was amazing, but really everything we ordered was just great. The menu called their niche "fancy comfort food" and I think that's a good description, even if the pheasant wasn't like anything Mom used to make! I went with my parents and my grandmothers, and though the menu was a little intimidating to them the food itself was not. The desserts in particular were very homey, but in the best possible way. One of the best meals I've had in a long time!5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMunique twist on traditional brunchVery unique variations from the typical brunch fare. Egg dishes made with Asian or Indian flavors. Korean breakfast bowl. Mexican entrees as well. I got a vegetarian egg scramble with fried rice, veggies, sriracha, and mung bean sprouts, which was great. Cheesy grits were very rich and creamy. I definitely plan to go back and would recommend Clementine to others.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDiamong in the rough.Great place which was able to accomodate our large sized party, service was maybe a little slow (but I think its because they make a lot of their stuff from scratch), but not rushed at all. Really nice neighborhood place.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFlavorful and innovativeThe duck hash was just right...a twist on the traditional favorite. The paprika-ed catfish and cheesy grits also had the feeling and flavor of a redefined classic. The cocktail list also contained a few unusual and much appreciated combinations....such as the bourbon and pear cocktail. All in all a very satisfying brunch5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, dining at ClementineAs always, dining at Clementine was a pleasure. My husband and I have dinner here about twice a month. The menu changes daily, which means we can always try something new. The wine list has very reasonable prices, but if you go on a Thursday they have great specials. On our last trip to Clementine we decided to skip a main dinner and work our way through the appetizers. We started with their own pate and worked our way through oysters, scallops, meatloaf sliders, and finished with rabbit. What a delight! Always looking forward to our next visit.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest food in town. And kid friendlyAwesome and unique food. Menu always changing. Different food but great and interesting tastes. Great service. Very of friendly with small toy area for kids. But still upscale for people without kids. Very warm feeling and home like.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperb EatsFood is outstanding, service is unbelievable, but it is a little noisy do to being kid friendly. We love this place!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst Time and it won't be the lastOutstanding from the staff, food and knowledge. This was our first visit to Clementine and it definitely will not be the last. We had a reservation, but we decided to stay at the bar. Our bartenders were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the variety of beer, wine & liquors that they offer. The manager also checked on us on multiple occasions and made us feel very welcome. We are already looking forward to our next visit and we plan on bringing our friends.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDishes too good to keepExcellent food...so good that i had to be satisfied withmy second choices for drinks and dessert because they ran out of my first choices. But our waitress Sarah was great and attentive. My friends were duly impressed with a great meal at a reasonable price.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat timeHad a fabulous experience on 5/4. Food was great as always and our server was excellent. I don't know here name but this is the second time in a row she has been our server and she is pleasant, enthusiastic but sincere, attentive but not intrusive, and generally makes for a great dining experience. We were the 4-top closest to the doorway in the side dining room if that helps identify her but she's fabulous!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious fare off the beaten trackClementine always comes up with fare that's different, and usually delightful. We particularly enjoyed the turkey/sausage/bean soup and the duck breast salad. The monkfish was tasty, but could have used a more generous side portion--two small chunks of potato and a couple of asparagus spears left the plate looking sparse. Dessert (yellow cake with peanut butter and chocalate frostings) was delicious, but it seemed odd that the only options were three kinds of cake and a cheesecake. Clementine's ambiance is fun and a bit funky--and a bit noisy on a Saturday night; it may be somewhat quieter in the second dining room. Overall, a pleasant dining experience for a casual night out!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood Gem...diamond of a meaHad a great dinner on a recent Thursday. It was half priced wine night as well! Toddler made friends in the play area and he loved the generous portion of macaroni and cheese (that I also helped him eat...it was sooooo good). Will return to try brunch. It is close to our home and may become our go-to place for dinner.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMnever disappointsgreat food. great cocktails. great experience on a mid-week evening as I'm used to trying to get a table on the very busy weekends.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently good food andConsistently good food and they know how to make a good Manhattan. The waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu offerings and even gave a wine suggestion which went well with the entrees chosen. The charcuterie is something special.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time diner at this restaurantFirst time diner at this restaurant . Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Our food was good . This weekend we took my parents -- and they loved it as well. A very inventive menu (my mother had the rabbit and pappardelle) with a great variety in entrees -- from a mouth-watering ribeye to a vegetarian cous cous. Our server Brandi was terrific as well. Eight thumbs up!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAfter many recommendationsAfter many recommendations from friends we finally got to try Clementine's and we were not disappointed. Don't be intimidated by the bold choices we were a party of four and everyone got a different dish and everyone went away happy. Try the duck sliders if they are on the menu!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at the restaurant.First time at the restaurant. The macaroni and cheese appetizer was memorable and the turkey pot pie was enough for two! There were five of us at dinner and ordered bread pudding for dessert- it was so good we ordered a second!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a wonderful find withThis is a wonderful find with a varied and interesting menu. Our group of 9 people ordered a fairly extensive sampling from the lunch and brunch menus, including a vegetarian soup and the Elvis Presley Belgian Waffle! Each dish was superb. The house-made sausage was unbelievable--not only the regular sausage, but also the day's special, which was a chorizo hash made with sweet potatoes. The seasonings were flavorful and fresh and unique.
The decor was relaxed and intriguing and the service was excellent. It seemed that we waited a bit for our meals to arrive, but they were well worth waiting for, and one is reminded by the menu that food is prepared fresh on site. I highly recommend Clementine!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's a restaurant revolutionMy daughter in law wanted to put going out to restaurants on hold because her daughter , 18 months old, had a meltdown at another restaurant. We suggested Clementines for their great food and family friendly - to include a space for children to play with toys - atmosphere. Everyone loved it - we felt so welcome and were not rushed. She said that this food was the best she has had in a long time and we all (6 adults) agreed! Oh, and the drinks were to die for too! Clementines is a revolution in food and in how to treat customers. We love it.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFour of us had dinner at ClementineFour of us had dinner at Clementine's last Friday night. For two of us, it was our first time, but not our last. Emily, our server, couldn't have been nicer or more knowledgeable. Her recommendations were wonderful and our food was amazing. The one glitch was that the kitchen was not able to keep up with orders in a timely fashion. Emily apologized, kept us informed of progress, but the wait was still long. The manager delivered his apologies, gave us crudités to munch on and covered our drinks. We all forgave the delay and appreciated the personal attention they gave us. We will be back soon!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were greeted warmly byWe were greeted warmly by the general manager who made us feel very welcome and like we were long time customers; this was our first visit.
Our waitress was prompt and attentive. They have a nice beer selection with more than the "usual" selections everywhere else. I ordered the Daiquiri which is NOT what we all are used to; this is actually based on the original and NOT sweet, but very refreshing.
The winter squash /gorgonzola dip was great; sweet & salty;just the right size for an appetizer. The scallop pot pie was also very good & a nice appetizer.
The $15 dinner special, Chicken stuffed pablano peppers was very large and absolutely wonderful; great flavor. The rock fish was also very good.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to Clementine becauseWe went to Clementine because it had expanded since we visited with our grandson. We had chosen it at that time because it was child friendly. We found it a very much improved facility.Six of us went for brunch on Easter morning. We were greeted in a welcoming matter. My husband and I arrived just as they were opening for business. My daughter ,husband and their sons arrived and were shown to our table. The waitress was very patient and the appetizers arrived in a timely manner. The food was hot and tasty.soon our main dishes arrived and everyone was very satisfied. The food was good. The atmosphere was welcoming nd the service was excellent. We will be returning to check out lunch and dinner.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMA perfectly charming restaurantI took my fiance and his mother here for Easter Brunch. It was a super experience. We were seated right away without any issues. There was a nice crowed but it wasn't too busy. Our server was very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. The brunch offered several sweet and savory options. I chose the duck hash-it was delicious. Both my fiance and his mother were also very satisfied with their vegetable quiche and vegetable egg scramble. The Mac n' cheese I think is the best I've ever tasted (got for our son and ended up "helping him" finish it! What we really love about this place is not only that the food is wonderful, but you can bring your toddler and actually enjoy your meal while they play in the children's play area. We were there for over 2 hours and when you have a 2 year old that is a big feat! There is a big corner area with a sofa and rug designated as a play area with tons of toys and books to satisfy any energetic toddler. Thank you and we'll be back soon!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Eats in HamiltonGreat service and exceptional food. My partner is a chef - he's easy to please but hard to impress. We were both impressed with this Hamilton gem. It was a great setting with a lively crowd. I think they may have been short staffed, but our server was extremely attentive. The butternut squash dip was amazing - we scooped the dish clean. We had the Brussels sprouts and thought they could have been cooked longer, but they were very tasty. He had the turkey pot pie. The biscuit topping was buttery and flaky. I had the pork chop - nothing fancy but it was well cooked, tender and moist. Neither of us are huge on deserts, but the chocolate peanut butter cake was very good. I highly recommend this restaurant. I wish I had more space to type.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
