A word from Clementine - Baltimore
Clementine likes to tell a story using food. Sometimes the story is a history lesson, sometimes it features the latest culinary trend and, usually, its a mixture of both.

We change our dinner menu daily, using local and seasonal ingredients as much as possible, make our own charcuterie and, in general, offer fabulous food and drinks for not so much dinero.

Our award-winning bar offers a rotating, hand-picked selection of unusual (and exceptional) boutique wines, craft beers and artisanal spirits. We even offer retail wine sales during open hours! Sunday, too!!!

Diner Reviews
  • "Freshest ingredients prepared well always makes for a great meal. The Red and Blue salad features the most delicious roasted beets I've ever had. They're atop a bed of fresh, crisp local greens tossed with a blue cheese dressing that hits the perfect balance of tangy and creamy. Make sure you try the poached oysters on a bed of delicious succotash. All in all, a really good meal."

  • "Clementines farm to table menu is always delicious. Burger night on Tuesdays offers a wide $2 craft beer selection and locally raised beef burgers cooked in a variety of ways each week. One of the best burgers I've had! We had some server mishaps, or otherwise I'd give this quaint spot a 5 star review"

  • "We have been to brunch, a few dinners and lunch here. This past Sunday we decided to take advantage of their date night prix fix dinner. This is an amazing deal. Choice of salad or soup and any entree off their regular menu. Both my husband and I ordered salads. He ordered the steak and I the duck. Both were well prepared with great sides. I loved the pickled ginger/pear relish on my duck and the using the complete beet was wonderful. The beets were pureed and the greens were the vegetable side and they were fantastic. We shared an amazing chocolate cake and left content. I don't understand some of the comments saying the portions were small. We are pretty big eaters and neither of us were hungry the rest of the night."

  • "Great food and homemade hot sauce. The Bloody Mary's tasted fantastic. I ordered the chipped beef on a waffle, YUM."

  • "Clementine always impresses. Wonderful use of local and seasonal foods. The folks that run the place, and those that work there, are always as sweet as can be. Simply put, a wonderful and comfortable place to enjoy great food with best friends. Cheers!"

  • "The Korean Hot Pot is an amazing find on the brunch menu; not offered most places that serve brunch! And the service is always wonderful. A real neighborhood gem."

  • "Our server was the best -- very patient with picky children. He sent out for orange juice and made lemonade! Thank you!"

  • "My entrée was a corvina stuffed with crab hash on a bed of wilted arugula with an herbe beurre blanc and it was fabulous! Of course, I had the duck nachos which I wish I could have daily as my appetizer! The service was friendly and efficient!"

  • "Have been going to Clementine for years and the menu is always fresh and the food outstanding. We've selected main courses based on the sides... look for the cheese grits and whatever pairs with them will be awesome!"

  • "I reside in Hamilton, and have had the good fortune to experience Clementine during multiple phases of its development, and on numerous occasions. Each time, I have been delighted by their innovative uses of fresh, local produce, and their respectful approach to smoking, storing and preparing meats. The thoroughly balanced menu offers wonders for a number of palates. Although the servers are always friendly, and wait staff eager to answer questions or address concerns, I always suggest that visitors be prepared for odd delays in the service (which obligingly present themselves). The culinary joy is augmented by easily accessible parking--some of it complimentary--quite near the restaurant. Overall, an excellent dining experience."

  • "As always, when we walked in the door someone was there to greet us and our table was ready. Food is somewhat eclectic, varied and they serve good wines too."

  • "Such a wondeful time. Everything was on point. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "This is a family favorite. Good local sourced food, interesting and tasty mixed drinks, and homemade dessert. The coconut cake is terrific!"

  • "As always, Clementines is a great brunch restaurant. My favorite, albeit not the most exciting but always a great option, is the breakfast sandwich with egg and bacon. I always get it deconstructed and ask for their wonderful homemade hot sauces and jams on the side. It also comes with a choice of their cheese grits (quite possibly the best I've every had!) or the home fries, which are tasty as well. Getting it deconstructed essentially makes this the perfect breakfast platter! They always have a couple brunch specials to choose from and both the lunch and breakfast menus are available around 'brunch' time. This restaurant is not far from where I live, so its become my go to restaurant for some time now."

  • "I rarely eat at a restaurant where the food and service are outstanding, Clementine is that place. Everyone in my party raved about every course they ate. I have a very discerning palate and am an excellent cook myself, so for me to find a restaurant that meets my expectations is rare. I will definitely go back to Clementine and I recommend it to anyone who is a "foodie" like me."

  • "My wife and I had a good experience eating at the bar during restaurant week so we returned for our anniversary. Unfortunately, we had a far different experience this time. Our 18 year old server did not know the menu or the bar. My wife ordered a steak and our server did not ask how to cook the meat. We started with the charcuterie plate. It was good but nothing stood out. Still it was the highlight of the meal. My wife's steak had a bit too much horse radish sauce on it and my pork chop was slightly dry and over cooked. The greens with the pork were good but the potatoes were wholly forgettable and slightly regrettable in hindsight. The flourless chocolate cake was similarly dry ending the meal. We got another drink elsewhere."

  • "I always have a wonderful meal when I go to Clementine. We took our 5 year old with us and she played in the small toy area they have setup for children very close to our table. It was perfect and allowed us to talk while she played until her dinner came. The wait staff is always terrific and professional. The pate is always amazing. I highly recommend Clementine to anyone!"

  • "What a fabulous find. With their own smokehouse in the back and curing room you can see from the main dining area, this is a great place for meat! I had the pork chop - I never knew pork could have so much dimension and flavor. My husband had the New York strip and it was also amazing. The wait staff was friendly and we were well taken care of. We'll definitely be regulars for date night!"

  • "We were disappointed with the food at Clementine's. It was very good a few years back -- simple and tasty. Now they seem to want to be more creative. The strawberry salads with goat cheese were missing the goat cheese. The scallops tasted warmed up. The desserts are still very good -- home made cakes, but no ice cream or sorbet. The service was friendly and attentive. Children are well accommodated there. "

  • "Clementine never disappoints. This is such a great place for a relaxing Saturday morning breakfast! I tried the Migas this time and loved it! The service is always fantastic and the food is delicious. This may now be my regular Saturday morning breakfast spot!"

  • "We heard about this place from several friends and finally made it there this past week. Our friends didn't lie! The cocktails were really well made, well balanced and quite tasty. We ordered the duck nachos as our starter, and split the vegetable parpadelle and scallop dishes. Both were fantastic and enough for the two of us."

  • "Disappointing dinner menu. Seems to be a better place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. As such, am not sure what they are trying to be."

  • "I have dined several times at Clementine for dinner, but this was my first trip for breakfast. The Indian scramble was fantastic! As always, the service was perfect- will definitely be back for breakfast again!"

  • "Everything was delicious as always. The only recommendation would be to put a little less salt on the trout. "

  • "We were puzzled by the inattentive service we received. Our food arrived slowly and was not hot. It seemed like there was an event (painting?) in the main dining room that resulted in many diners being crammed into the other room. Food was just OK. Drinks were quite good."

  • "We brought a large party, and they were great with us. Amazing food, lovely service, a little play area for kids with a comfy couch, great local art on the walls. I pre-ordered a cake and it was AMAZING. I could eat that cake all day long. Cozy and welcoming. I strongly suggest getting a reservation versus walking in if it is a weekend or a large group. "

  • "Noise was horrible; server was gracious but took away the plate of my companion even though I was not finished eating. My companion complained about this"

  • "We have had great experiences with food & service here in the past. This time it was a different restaurant. Any place is entitled to a bad night, but there were things that were unforgivable. This space doesn't allow for details but here's the summary: substitutions for 4 of 8 entrees (how do you run out of chicken AND shrimp at 7:30pm?); a waitress who couldn't answer a single question we had about the menu and kept running back to the kitchen to find out; a menu listing a special fixed price meal for two that was not honored; a $34 steak that was tough and 1/4 of it was a hunk of fat; a $23 piece of trout that was smaller than any trout I'd ever seen; long waits for water refills. There's more but that's all that fits."

  • "I went to Clementine for Mother's Day and wasn't impressed. The food was mediocre. Perhaps it was just an off night for this establishment, but I was expecting much more. "
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "Every recommendation our server made was PERFECT. For every beverage, meal and dessert, we raved about each sip / bite! I had scallops at a downtown restaurant the previous night, and there was no comparison (Clementine's were the winner by a landslide). My only complaint was that I forgot to request the kids' side on OpenTable, so I called the restaurant. I spoke with someone who told me "No problem." However, when we arrived, we were told there was no room on that side and that nothing was recorded. It was not the end of the world, but I was a little frustrated."

  • "Clementine is a great little local place that is one of our favorites. It never fails to impress with that quality of food and the prices are more than reasonable. I always recommend this place to friends and it never disappoints. "

  • "There were 4 of us and we each chose something different from the menu. Everything was delicious, especially my scallops. It was not crowded so we were able to,linger and chat without feeling rushed. The chef accommodated a substituted vegetable for one us. An enjoyable evening and we would definitely return."

  • "We really enjoyed our first dinner at Clementines. The food was fantastic - soft shell crab and scallop entrees - and the service excellent. We enjoyed the casualness of the restaurant and the relaxed, non-rushed dining. We will definitely return. "

  • "Normally we love Clementine but we were a little disappointed with our recent visit. The food was yummy, as always, but the portions were extremely small for the price. We ordered the $11 pork nachos and ended up with probably 20 chips and MAYBE 1/4 cup of pork on top. We had to order dessert because we were still hungry after ordering 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. Additionally, it took over an hour to get our food. Hopefully it was just an off night because Clementine is a go-to favorite for us!"

  • "I had the pappardelle pasta dish - very different than other pasta dishes I've had elsewhere but not quite amazing. my date had the steak salad and did not find it tasteful or unique at all. would not recommend. the mac and cheese appetizer was the best dish of the evening"

  • "I've been to Clementine multiple times, and the food is delicious every time. Daniel (referencing the receipt, his name slipped my mind so I hope that's correct!) was our server and he was fantastic. Daniel was familiar with everything on the menu, made great recommendations, and was very attentive. I know service better than I know food, and he provided the service that you pay extra for when dining out. He answered every question we had, was very patient, and all with a great attitude. The manager Trisha was excellent as well. She remembered us from a previous visit and was very gracious. She stopped by to make sure everything was going well with our meal. The chefs are awesome as well! Always prepare the food as ordered. Eat here! "

  • "really is a gem of its neighborhood. we enjoyed the food, including bacon wrapped meatloaf, charcuterie plate. Can't remember what else we got because it was a few weeks ago, and menu changes daily. will go back for sure...good to get there early because they run out of entrees since it is all locally provided/only enough is available for that day, so popular dishes go fast. weren't very impressed with the cocktails, one was pretty bad, i think it had ginger in it..."
