A word from Clementine - Baltimore
Clementine likes to tell a story using food. Sometimes the story is a history lesson, sometimes it features the latest culinary trend and, usually, its a mixture of both.

We change our dinner menu daily, using local and seasonal ingredients as much as possible, make our own charcuterie and, in general, offer fabulous food and drinks for not so much dinero.

Our award-winning bar offers a rotating, hand-picked selection of unusual (and exceptional) boutique wines, craft beers and artisanal spirits. We even offer retail wine sales during open hours! Sunday, too!!!

  • "What a change from the normal stressful dining-with-kids-experience. We went early, the kids played in the play area while we waited for the food to come. My husband and I had an actual conversation! The portions are large (kids ate the rest of their dinner for lunch the next day). The chicken was so good. It tasted like...a farm. I have no other way to describe it. It was so flavorful. My husband was thought the fish was fantastic. Will definitely go back when we need a night out to ourselves (with the kids)!"

  • "Our brunch this past Sunday got off to a rocky start. We had a noon reservation and arrived early however they were short staffed so we had to wait about 15-20 minutes before we were seated. While we were waiting 3 different wait staff walked by and said "someone will be with you shortly" this happened about every 5 minutes during our wait. Once we were seated service was pretty good. As the meal went on our experience improved. The food was great and the meal ended on a high note. I think it was the manager who came over and assisted us a few times and suggested dessert options for us. She was awesome! All in all, it was a nice brunch and I will definitely return and recommend it to friends."

  • "Tried Clementine for Restaurant Week and was really impressed. The menu was really creative and everything was extremely well-prepared. The adobo pork was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the slightly sweet coconut rice was the perfect complement to the piquant sauce."

  • "Don't let what you may have heard about this neighborhood keep you from trying this restaurant. I was looking for a Balto. restaurant week option that was not in one of the usual "trendy" sections of the city and was very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the service attentive without being obtrusive. This retaurant is definitely kid friendly so if you want a quiet, romantic dinner with your honey this might not work for you. My husband and I did enjoy it though."

  • "I heard about Clementine for a while, but I had never made the trip over to Harford Road to experience it. I ended up going with three friends of mine. The food was good, but my soup felt chintzy. They didn't have an item that my friend ordered, and they served my chocolate cake with salted caramel sauce without the sauce because they didn't have anymore. The service, while good, was insanely slow. My friend ordered another glass of wine and specifically said she wanted it with dessert. They brought it out with the check, but by that point, she didn't want it anymore. Point being, none of these things kept me from enjoying my evening with my friends, but when I add them all up, I probably won't be going back."

  • "Recommended by a friend, we made our way from our Inner Harbor hotel during rush hour to get here, which was a challenge, but the food was definitely worth it. The charcuterie was excellent, and our entrees – bacon-wrapped meat loaf, pork chop, pork shoulder and hamburger were all nicely presented and very flavorful, as were the sides. We enjoyed the neighborhood feel of the restaurant as well. Getting a cab back to the hotel, however, was a bit of a challenge."

  • "Freshest ingredients prepared well always makes for a great meal. The Red and Blue salad features the most delicious roasted beets I've ever had. They're atop a bed of fresh, crisp local greens tossed with a blue cheese dressing that hits the perfect balance of tangy and creamy. Make sure you try the poached oysters on a bed of delicious succotash. All in all, a really good meal."

  • "We have been to brunch, a few dinners and lunch here. This past Sunday we decided to take advantage of their date night prix fix dinner. This is an amazing deal. Choice of salad or soup and any entree off their regular menu. Both my husband and I ordered salads. He ordered the steak and I the duck. Both were well prepared with great sides. I loved the pickled ginger/pear relish on my duck and the using the complete beet was wonderful. The beets were pureed and the greens were the vegetable side and they were fantastic. We shared an amazing chocolate cake and left content. I don't understand some of the comments saying the portions were small. We are pretty big eaters and neither of us were hungry the rest of the night."

  • "I reside in Hamilton, and have had the good fortune to experience Clementine during multiple phases of its development, and on numerous occasions. Each time, I have been delighted by their innovative uses of fresh, local produce, and their respectful approach to smoking, storing and preparing meats. The thoroughly balanced menu offers wonders for a number of palates. Although the servers are always friendly, and wait staff eager to answer questions or address concerns, I always suggest that visitors be prepared for odd delays in the service (which obligingly present themselves). The culinary joy is augmented by easily accessible parking--some of it complimentary--quite near the restaurant. Overall, an excellent dining experience."

  • "As always, Clementines is a great brunch restaurant. My favorite, albeit not the most exciting but always a great option, is the breakfast sandwich with egg and bacon. I always get it deconstructed and ask for their wonderful homemade hot sauces and jams on the side. It also comes with a choice of their cheese grits (quite possibly the best I've every had!) or the home fries, which are tasty as well. Getting it deconstructed essentially makes this the perfect breakfast platter! They always have a couple brunch specials to choose from and both the lunch and breakfast menus are available around 'brunch' time. This restaurant is not far from where I live, so its become my go to restaurant for some time now."

  • "I rarely eat at a restaurant where the food and service are outstanding, Clementine is that place. Everyone in my party raved about every course they ate. I have a very discerning palate and am an excellent cook myself, so for me to find a restaurant that meets my expectations is rare. I will definitely go back to Clementine and I recommend it to anyone who is a "foodie" like me."

  • "My wife and I had a good experience eating at the bar during restaurant week so we returned for our anniversary. Unfortunately, we had a far different experience this time. Our 18 year old server did not know the menu or the bar. My wife ordered a steak and our server did not ask how to cook the meat. We started with the charcuterie plate. It was good but nothing stood out. Still it was the highlight of the meal. My wife's steak had a bit too much horse radish sauce on it and my pork chop was slightly dry and over cooked. The greens with the pork were good but the potatoes were wholly forgettable and slightly regrettable in hindsight. The flourless chocolate cake was similarly dry ending the meal. We got another drink elsewhere."

  • "I always have a wonderful meal when I go to Clementine. We took our 5 year old with us and she played in the small toy area they have setup for children very close to our table. It was perfect and allowed us to talk while she played until her dinner came. The wait staff is always terrific and professional. The pate is always amazing. I highly recommend Clementine to anyone!"

  • "What a fabulous find. With their own smokehouse in the back and curing room you can see from the main dining area, this is a great place for meat! I had the pork chop - I never knew pork could have so much dimension and flavor. My husband had the New York strip and it was also amazing. The wait staff was friendly and we were well taken care of. We'll definitely be regulars for date night!"

  • "We were disappointed with the food at Clementine's. It was very good a few years back -- simple and tasty. Now they seem to want to be more creative. The strawberry salads with goat cheese were missing the goat cheese. The scallops tasted warmed up. The desserts are still very good -- home made cakes, but no ice cream or sorbet. The service was friendly and attentive. Children are well accommodated there. "

We ordered the duck nachos as our starter, and split the vegetable parpadelle and scallop dishes. Both were fantastic and enough for the two of us."
