A word from Clement
Clement seamlessly blends an elegantly modern aesthetic for Chef de Cuisine Brandon Kida’s Contemporary American cuisine focusing on locally-sourced ingredients from the Northeast. Located in the Forbes Five Star-rated Peninsula New York hotel, Clement overlooks bustling Fifth Avenue. Designed by the international award-winning design firm, Yabu Pushelberg, the restaurant feels like a quintessential New York home, with different rooms that cater to a range of moods, desires and occasions. Private and semi-private dining areas are available.

Adjacent to Clement, The Bar offers a bewitching menu of suggested and made-to-order cocktails, a selection of wines and champagnes available by the glass, and small plates echoing the Clement menu with a touch of an Asian influence as a nod to the hotel company’s heritage.

We were a party of seven for pre-theatre and special celebration. The restaurant decor was sophisticated and gorgeous. The pre-fixe is an extraordinary value, with a choice of almost everything on the menu at a fabulous price. The food was inventive and delightful presentation. The chef made adjustments to meet our dietary needs enthusiasm. .The service was professional, warm, thorough and of the highest order. We had reserved the complimentary shuttle to our theatre and Despite the elegance of the restaurant, our servers were gracious in bringing french fries to a young member of our party. Don't wait--book your meal now at Clement, and you won't be disappointed! We will return as soon as we can.

we were there for restaurant week. The ambience is very chic and the service is excellent. We were disappointed by the food. The quality was good, but we were expecting something more elaborated than a tasteless corn salad or a pasta you can easily cook at home. Fortunately, the rib was ok and the "taste of summer" salad and the desserts were excellent.

Very impressed. Most everything was wonderful. Lovely, elegant atmosphere. Carefully prepared food with fresh, superb ingredients and preparation. The entrees were also tops, especially the sea bass and one of the best short ribs I have had. The short ribs were very tender with a superb sauce. Only let downs are in the bread and pastry area. Suggest they replace the bread and the variation of strawberry shortcake came up short. Good s'mores though, but portion a bit small. The waitstaff was very accommodating and professional. The atmosphere is elegant. Lovely room. Nice view of Fifth Avenue. Quiet. Perfect for a special date or a business meal. I look forward to returning.

Typical of Pennisula hotels, the food at Clement was sublime. We went for lunch during restaurant week. I had the gazpacho and fish while my companion had the corn salad and short ribs. Service was good; although, a bit rushed. The server took our appetizer plates before we were finished as he brought out our entrees prematurely. Not sure what the rush was considering the restaurant was half empty during the length of our meal.

Everything was wonderful; the service was friendly and attentive while the food was fantastic. I went for restaurant week with two other people. This is a very classy restaurant and I was really impressed to see that they treated us with impeccable service even though we were spending significantly less than people ordering off of the regular menu. We made sure to tip them about 40% of the bill. The only complaint was that there were a lot of children there for dinner time and the noise was a bit loud. Since Clement is in a hotel this isn't too surprising. Overall it was a top notch pick for restaurant week and if I can afford it I'll be back.

Impeccable service! Everyone was polite and helpful, and followed up respectfully regarding the quality of the food and drinks. My only gripe is that the entree portions for lunch were a bit too large and unrefined compared to the elegant appetizers and desserts. The drinks are pricey but well-worth it. The location, sitting atop Fifth Aveune in a historic hotel, never gets old.

Strawberry rhubarb dessert light and flavorful. My waiter was professional and friendly. Hint: I personally tip the waitstaff based on the usual cost of the food and not the restaurant week pricing.

Went there for Restaurant Week, our first impression was they did a good job on renovating this place! Very comfy and relaxing. Our table was next to the window overlooking the 5th Ave - nice view! Bread was so fresh and delicious. We had gazpacho w/ crab and the corn salad to start, and sea bass w/ duck broth as main course - all dishes were beautifully presented and tasted so DELICIOUS! had strawberry short cake for dessert - nicely decorated and YUMMY! Our waiter Kin was so friendly and helpful, he encouraged us to take our time to enjoy our meal. Will definitely go back.

Everything was good. Ambience, food and service. We went there for restaurant week and all of my friends had fun. Just one tiny comment. The sea bass was good but additional salt would help. And they should also add more wine on there list. If Im not mistaken they only had 4 wines on the list. I also ordered the warm corn salad. It was goooood!! And the dessert was scrumptious. I would definitely recommend this place.

Dined at Clement during Restaurant Week and had the most wonderful experience. I ordered the warm corn salad for an appetizer and was pleasantly surprised by the blueberries in the salad. For entree, I had the black sea bass which tasted so fresh it seemed as if it was caught right before it arrived at the table. To complete the meal I had the strawberry shortcake which melted in my mouth. The wait staff was very attentive. They answered all of our questions and explained each dish as they came out to our table. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again in the near future. Best Restaurant Week experience I have had thus far in all the years I've participated in RW.

Second time visiting this restaurant. Once for lunch and this time dinner. Both occasions food was delicious and very well presented. The appetizer salads were superb and generous in size. The sea bass and the short ribs done to perfection. Service, the best I have had in a very long time. Marco, our server explained each dish as he presented it. Recommendations for wine and champagne. Desserts were both good. Since it was Joan's birthday, they did a special added chocolate mousse dessert for her. Excellent.

When I saw Clement come up as a New York Restaurant Week pick, I booked a dinner reservation to treat myself. Housed inside The Peninsula hotel, the restaurant itself is lovely, just as is the hotel. The service was fine, and the dinner selections for NYRW were interesting. The waiter steered me away from the short rib to the sea bass. The food arrived in an acceptable amount of time but, frankly, it just tasted like "hotel" food. Sort of that 'engineered' taste. I often look to the bread as being a tip to the food quality and the bread was hard as a rock and tasteless.

We went to Clement for the Restaurant Week special. When the waiter learned we wanted wine by the glass, he pushed hard with recommendations that weren't featured as matching specials on the menu. Notably, he never brought us a wine list. Although most of us ordered the special wines on the menu, as they were well chosen to match the food and comfortably priced, one of our party fell victim to the waiter's urging and ordered one of his suggestions. He was less than pleased when we got the bill to see that his wine was more than twice as expensive as ours. It's a trick as old as the hills. It's bad enough to pull it, but if you're going to play that game at least give the customer a wine list so he can check the prices.

My girlfriend and I visited Clemente during restaurant week. The restaurant was a little less than half full throughout our entire meal yet the service was lacking from the moment we were seated. Our waters were never refilled until our desserts were finished. We noticed everyone else's water cups were empty as well. Food took too long to come out for everyone in the restaurant, which is unacceptable as they only had 8 total items on the menu. The couple behind us actually fell asleep waiting for their desserts. Our dessert plates were sitting empty on our table for over 15 minutes before the hostess had to clear them herself as our waiter went missing. Black Sea bass and Spare Rib were both extremely dry and wouldn't recommend.
