A word from Clement
Clement seamlessly blends an elegantly modern aesthetic for Chef de Cuisine Brandon Kida’s Contemporary American cuisine focusing on locally-sourced ingredients from the Northeast. Located in the Forbes Five Star-rated Peninsula New York hotel, Clement overlooks bustling Fifth Avenue. Designed by the international award-winning design firm, Yabu Pushelberg, the restaurant feels like a quintessential New York home, with different rooms that cater to a range of moods, desires and occasions. Private and semi-private dining areas are available.

Adjacent to Clement, The Bar offers a bewitching menu of suggested and made-to-order cocktails, a selection of wines and champagnes available by the glass, and small plates echoing the Clement menu with a touch of an Asian influence as a nod to the hotel company’s heritage.

This was our first time dinning at the Clement, the food was very good, but the deserts were even better, the atmosphere was very pleasant, the wait staff were very attentive and friendly, they certainly went beyond to make us comfortable, would definitely recommend this restaurant and will surely come back.

The ambiance was fantastic and so was the service. While the food was good, it was so expensive that it wasn't worth it to me. A bit too fancy. Dinner menu was also rather one sided - almost everything was fish (I love fish, but sometimes you just aren't in the mood).

Started badly. Put in a sterile room away from main more vibrant room. Waiters were heard bickering. The head waiter served or rather dumped amuse bouche. Didn't get any better. Capped by one hapless waiter not being able to say where the matched cider was from. Sadly an expensively disappointing end to a special day.

The service and ambience was impeccable. As good as any other high end restaurant in the city. The food was inventive, creative, but the flavors for some of the dishes were decent at best. My girlfriend and I ordered the Mushroom and Scallops for appetizer and Poached Lobster and Wagyu steak for our main course. The foraged and farmed mushrooms were tasty on top of white rice. The mushroom tea broth/sauce added to the dish definitely made it a warm dish you would love to eat for the cold weather, but I personally would of appreciated the flavors of the mushrooms without the broth. My girlfriend thought the scallops were slightly overcooked and questioned the grapefruit juice they poured over scallops. Personally, I thought both appetizers were good. The main dishes, Poached lobster should've had more flavor, but it was still a high quality serving of Lobster, but nothing I would brag about to my friends. The wagyu steak was tasty and the crusted salt was a nice touch, but the cheese grits and white asparagus for me stole the show of the dish. I'm not sure if that says more about the grits or steak. I don't mean to be so critical of the dishes, because I still overall enjoyed the creativeness and the dishes themselves, but obviously this place is going for the next level in food, so I had to go "Top Chef-critical" on these dishes.

I had made reservation at Clement for my mom's birthday breakfast. Both of us picked more "brunch style" foods. I picked the Salmon Eggs Benedict, my mom had something similar to lobster eggs benedict. Both of us were absolutely in love with our food. Since I had made a note on the reservation that it would be my mom's birthday, she received an absolutely delicious cupcake with a candle and happy birthday sign after our main course. The atmosphere was great and the staff was extremely friendly. Both, my mom and I are excited to return to Clement.

This restaurant is in a beautiful setting. It has a lovely atmosphere and the food is really quite good. Unfortunately, the experience of dining here can be quite negaitvely affected by the poor service. We had a group at brunch. When one of our group asked for more water, his water glass was filled - all the other empty or near empty water glasses were ignored. I asked for more decaf coffee as our food was arriving. It arrived just after dessert had been served. That said, the quality and presentation of the food was excellent and if the service is upgraded, the experience will match the food and the setting.

My husband and I came here for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We each ordered from the pre-theater pre-fixe menu, with a wine pairing to accompany it. The food was amazing, and the wine pairing really complimented it well. Our server Marco was extremely accomodating and attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine. The somalier made some excellent selections and was happy to come and explain them to us and answer questions (note: my husband isn't a huge wine fan, but he really enjoyed what was served). Although dessert was included in the pre-fixe, the restaurant also threw in a special anniversary dessert - complete with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate - and then to top it off our server gave us a box of yummy handmade chocolates to take with us to eat at intermission. To sum it up, this place has great ambience (romantic dining area, and the bar area has a good vibe too), delicious food, amazing wines and superb service.

Amazing food. I got the risotto, suckling pig, and raspberry cheesecake. Everything was balanced, complex, and wonderful. Atop that, the service here was simply incredible. The servers were hospitable, and enthusiastic about the food they were serving, and it made all the difference in our experience.

My husband and I had Sunday brunch at Clement. Though the environment was pretty and we could easily converse, the food was neither creative nor divine. The views of the park were great if you were one of the few seated near the windows, but not for us. The service, which was ooohed and aaaahed by other reviewers, was also not wonderful. I had to repeatedly ask for coffee and cream refills. The servers were polite and helpful once you reminded them you were there, but the automatic tip is insulting and does not encourage good service. For the price, it was certainly nothing special. If I spend over $80 on breakfast, I expect more.

We were seated at a gorgeous table for 2 overlooking the activity on 5th Ave. The service was immaculate, typical of the Peninsula. I was a bit surprised that there was no a la carte menu for Sunday brunch but only the prix fix. It was a bit pricey but delicious.

We were a party of seven for pre-theatre and special celebration. The restaurant decor was sophisticated and gorgeous. The pre-fixe is an extraordinary value, with a choice of almost everything on the menu at a fabulous price. The food was inventive and delightful presentation. The chef made adjustments to meet our dietary needs enthusiasm. .The service was professional, warm, thorough and of the highest order. We had reserved the complimentary shuttle to our theatre and Despite the elegance of the restaurant, our servers were gracious in bringing french fries to a young member of our party. Don't wait--book your meal now at Clement, and you won't be disappointed! We will return as soon as we can.

I've dined at Clement twice -- first with a girlfriend and then with my husband -- and was quite pleased both times. Service, in particular, is excellent & very attentive. Food was very good, though they ran out of the fish I wanted one time - yet they made up for it, offering to prepare another fish in the same way, surprising us with a mid-course pasta dish (on them) & chocolate treats at the end. The decor is understated and elegant, giving a relaxed, refined atmosphere overall- ideal for business clientele, low-key romantic dinners or ladies/gents who lunch. Pretty arched windows offer fantastic views of 5th ave. I'll definitely come back again & will take my mother here for lunch post-shopping when she visits during the holidays.

we were there for restaurant week. The ambience is very chic and the service is excellent. We were disappointed by the food. The quality was good, but we were expecting something more elaborated than a tasteless corn salad or a pasta you can easily cook at home. Fortunately, the rib was ok and the "taste of summer" salad and the desserts were excellent.

Very impressed. Most everything was wonderful. Lovely, elegant atmosphere. Carefully prepared food with fresh, superb ingredients and preparation. The entrees were also tops, especially the sea bass and one of the best short ribs I have had. The short ribs were very tender with a superb sauce. Only let downs are in the bread and pastry area. Suggest they replace the bread and the variation of strawberry shortcake came up short. Good s'mores though, but portion a bit small. The waitstaff was very accommodating and professional. The atmosphere is elegant. Lovely room. Nice view of Fifth Avenue. Quiet. Perfect for a special date or a business meal. I look forward to returning.

Typical of Pennisula hotels, the food at Clement was sublime. We went for lunch during restaurant week. I had the gazpacho and fish while my companion had the corn salad and short ribs. Service was good; although, a bit rushed. The server took our appetizer plates before we were finished as he brought out our entrees prematurely. Not sure what the rush was considering the restaurant was half empty during the length of our meal.

Everything was wonderful; the service was friendly and attentive while the food was fantastic. I went for restaurant week with two other people. This is a very classy restaurant and I was really impressed to see that they treated us with impeccable service even though we were spending significantly less than people ordering off of the regular menu. We made sure to tip them about 40% of the bill. The only complaint was that there were a lot of children there for dinner time and the noise was a bit loud. Since Clement is in a hotel this isn't too surprising. Overall it was a top notch pick for restaurant week and if I can afford it I'll be back.

Impeccable service! Everyone was polite and helpful, and followed up respectfully regarding the quality of the food and drinks. My only gripe is that the entree portions for lunch were a bit too large and unrefined compared to the elegant appetizers and desserts. The drinks are pricey but well-worth it. The location, sitting atop Fifth Aveune in a historic hotel, never gets old.
