For 4 people we tried 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, 2 bottles of wine, 3 desserts and coffee. All was excellent and with good size portions. Not a low cost restaurant, but, definitely worth the expense. We would return in a heart beat. The Filet Mignon Meat Loaf was reported as fabulous (and for $15 from 5-6 p.m.). Service was very good. The only downside was no expresso, just regular coffee.

A great place for seafood! The menus changes slightly every few months. The dishes are very elegant and taste great. A very special place you would not expect to find in Redding, CA.

We had the early bird dinner and the portions were a a nice size. Our server Justin was great. The food was good, but I wouldn't say great. My husband had the filet mignon meatloaf (which he liked) and I had the chicken marsala. I've had better chicken elsewhere. We've been there before and I thought the food was good, but not great. We are seriously lacking in the restaurant department in Redding, so we enjoy going out of town to eat. We will probably go there again and try something different, hoping to hit a winning dish.

Great fine dining in cozy, upscale atmosphere. Our first time dining here, glad we did. Nice menu, something for every palate, appetizers, soups, salads, steak, seafood including a rare treat, Abalone, pork, chicken, and a nice desert menu. We started with the escargot stuffed mushrooms, 5 nice sized mushrooms stuffed with escargot, very tasty. For entrees, I chose the sweetbreads, cooked just right, tender, melt in your mouth, served with rice and vegetables, and my wife had the filet mignon meatloaf wrapped in bacon, very tasty, juicy, served with vegetables and sweet potato chips. Both entrees large, will fill you up. Nice wine list to complement your dinner selection. Definitely will return next time in the area.

We brought friends from out of town on Memorial Day, and were very pleased. One of our friends has a lot of constraints on what he can eat, and this was a good place to go because they prepare things fresh and to order, so he had a very satisfying dining experience, too.

Our experience at Clearie's has always been excellent, but this last Saturday was exceptional. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you are totally taken care of, the chef went out of his way to make something that was specially asked for (we were lucky that they still had the ingredients) and it was more fabulous that ever before. We cannot speak highly enough of all the staff, the chef, and this wonderful restaurant. We will continue to go back, and thank goodness we have it. The best restaurant in town as far as we are concerned! Thank you for everything.

The location and entrance/egress are rather problematic but not indicative of what's inside. I always find something special on Clearie's eclectic and creative menu. The setting is a small bar-scene space and is a friendly, intimate environment. Each meal is beautifully presented with extremely fresh ingredients. I especially enjoy the lamb chops and fresh fish. The servers are appropriately attentive and never intrusive. There are some unique desserts and fun cocktails for special occasions along with a nice wine selection. It is rather pricey by Redding's standards but always worth it.

The food selection was very good. The only drawback is the lack of parking. The neighborhood is sketchy and there wasn't enough parking spaces to accommodate the guests, so we had an uncomfortable walk to and from the car at night.
