"Lovely place, very good food and service. The wine list needs some work. The ambiance would have rated higher except for an unruly child in the room--not the restaurant's fault. Why do people bring children to dinner at 7:30 PM?"

"This is my third time dining at Clay Hill Farm. My wife and I chose to be married there in 2011 after reading about their environmentally sound practices, particular in regards to their local and sustainable vegetable and meat sourcing. Their grounds also serve as a bird sanctuary. Our first time dining here was to select our reception entrees, second time as for our reception, and our third time was to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant has about 15 tables, and three-four servers take care of your party while you eat. They are friendly, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. The dishes are well prepared and the portions generous. I was happy to join them for our anniversary and look forward to another special visit."

"Unfortunately this experience was not the best. We have been going to Clay Hill farm for Easter for years and it has been good. This year, I ordered lamb, one of the more expensive entrees, and it was half a plate of fat. The service was good as usual and atmosphere as well but will look for another place next year."

"We went on Easter. We had a 2:45 p.m. reservation and only got our entree about an hour later. We planned on attending egg hunt at 4 p.m., which we did, and did came back to finish our meal. We had thought we would have had enough time to eat meal beforehand but service was very slow. Food was very good and kids really enjoyed the Easter hunt, which was a lovely touch. I would go back on a normal day."

"We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately upon arrival. The environment was elegant. Our server was pleasant, attentive and informative. The menu had a very good variety of options. The place was full, but our wait staff did not appear hurried with us at all. My two pomegranate martinis put me in "a very good place." For an entree, I had the gingersnap and maple crusted ham - delicious. Perfectly cooked and moist. The carrot cake for dessert was a classic and very light/fluffy. Overall, this was a great meal. I will be back again for mother's day!"

"We did not get to go there. Open table double booked us so we got a call canceling the day before Easter Not impressed with Open Table and will not trust it again...we will make the calls and reservations ourselves. PLEASE REMOVE US FROM YOUR E-MAIL LIST!!!!"

"Not at all what this venue used to be: a destination for foodies. No longer is each menu item unique and well thought out. The concentration on local produce is absent and the physical overhaul/expansion of the restaurant turns it into a function factory in appearance. Wish I had better things to say."

"The lamb/shrimp were excellent! The haddock special with mushrooms in sherry & asparagus was excellent, but the bland white rice, could have done without it. Desserts: Peach melba/rasberry lemon torte, AA plus! We were very lucky to get Jim our server. He was right on it! The hot rolls ^ real butter really added to the meal. We had lovely evening."
