A word from City Table

City Table’s free spirited approach to the menu allows guests more freedom to share and try a wide offering of starters, entrees and sides that put a creative twist on classic American fare. The Table’s menu includes Bistro classics like Grilled Atlantic Salmon with mushroom risotto and roasted… brussel sprouts, Blue Cheese Crusted Filet, served with whipped Yukon potato and broccoli rabe in a red wine sauce and Seared Ahi Tuna with somen noodles, seaweed salad and bok choy. Also highlighted on the menu are creative American Bistro style sandwiches, many under $10. Options include The Cubano, a spicy pork, salami and ham sandwich, topped with Swiss cheese, city pickles, and chipotle mayo on a pressed torpedo roll, or the Sliders 3 Way, grass fed sirloin, lamb and crab cake sliders. "The food was delicious. We enjoyed the seared ahi tuna and the bouillabaisse. The server was fine, but generally unable to elaborate on any dishes or cocktails stating only "it's, like, very good" whenever probed for recommendations. The seating was somewhat cramped, at least where we were seated about a foot on either side between two other tables, diminishing the romantic or intimate feel one might want for a dinner for two. However, by 10:30 the restaurant had mostly emptied out and no longer felt cramped.
I would return, mostly for the delicious food/cocktails and ambiance."

"My friend and I went here for dinner on a Friday night. Things were busy and lively. We enjoyed that there were both more expensive entrees as well as smaller lighter portions as well. The martinis were delicious! We would definitely go back"

"Service was great. Coffee was good. Food was passable but not as good as it sounded. Steel cut oatmeal lacked a little in flavor and had no interesting toppings. Bananas Foster Stuffed French Toast was well-cooked, but would be better with thicker bread. Also, the bananas foster was on top, not stuffed in. Blueberry pancakes were plain pancakes with mixed berries on top."

"We went to City Table for brunch on Easter Sunday and had a wonderful time. Things got off to a slow and bumpy start, when we did get our much-needed coffee it was tepid. Our server was quick to whisk all our coffee cups off the table and bring us a fresh pot... not without "reminding" us that milk makes the coffee cold (we drink it black so that clearly wasn't the issue). Things went wonderfully from there, the food was fantastic, and our server continued to be attentive to our many requests (ketchup, more coffee, etc). I had the bananas foster french toast (amazing) and even the home-fries were perfectly seasoned. We had never been to City Table before, it's quite beautiful and I would definitely recommend them for brunch."

"Sunday brunch. Service was very slow even though the restaurant wasn't packed. Waitress forgot to bring fruit plate for the table - she didn't write down our order and apparently didn't have a good memory. Food was fine - not memorable."

"This was my 2nd time back to City Table - we opted to come for restaurant week. The menu was not as inventive as the main menu normally is, but the options were appealing and the food tasted very good. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and the portions were large. I made a special request that my entree (salmon) be a little undercooked and, instead, it was slightly overcooked. I didn't complain because it still tasted good and I wasn't in a mood to send food back. The desserts were fantastic, and although service seemed a bit rushed for a Thursday, we enjoyed our overall experience. We will return beceause of the food and the ambiance - it's upscale without being pretentious and, given it's neighborhood, that is quite a find!"

"My girlfriends and I went here for a girls night and it was the perfect spot. It was not too noisy so we could hear each other. The drinks were delicious and the food was perfect. We had the layered chocolate cake for desert and it was the clincher for the night. Would definitely go back again for drinks and a good girls night."
