The food was good, the rack of lamb wass very tasty, a little over done. It was just like the other review. The short rib was so so, not worth the money. Service was great, Jose was very busy, he still took good care of us.

The Food was good, but not great. Service was 3rd class. Waiters were pushy and wanted us to leave. The special occasion was our anniversary, they did ask about the occasion and pressured us anyway. We picked this place while were thinking about joining City Cllub I think Johnathan Club is a better choice.

The City Club is a private club, with dress code and restrictions. This was not made clear when we made our reservation through Open Table. The facility does not honor the Open Table $$$. Even though the staff kept apologizing, it was not the wonderful evening we had anticipated.

View was awesome. Private group room was a bit warm in the early evening because of the sun beating in, and the a/c was limited. Decor was very traditional and a bit dated. Food was decent, but service was excellent.

54th Floor cannot be beat in Los Angeles, Best view is definitely facing the west side but from any seat you can see in both directions. The view was surpassed by the service and food. I look forward to going back very soon with my wife instead of my girlfriend next time.

City Club has a nice view, but the atmosphere is dated and the food is average at best despite being quite expensive. I would head to The Perch or WP24 where you can get both before ever coming back to the City Club.

  • Disapointed in the service.

Disapointed in the service. Initial service was very slow. We also did a wine pairing with the meal and not once but twice the wrong wine was served. The food was good overall but not good enough to make up for the overall service. To top It off, I was asked for a credit card before I had finished my meal. That has never happened ANYWHERE before. They didn't even ask if my wife and I if we wanted a cup of coffee at the end of our meal. We had to ask. When you spend $500 on a meal for two people, the service and food should be exceptional. Neither lived up to that.

This restaurant was outstanding in every way. The only problem was that their open table reservation system had failed, and they did not have our table ready when we arrived, nor had they anticipated our party of 7. They did not question the fact that we had a reservation, and accommodated our group, but we did have to wait as they had no idea we were coming in.
