I have been a long time fan of Citrus. I moved away in October and returned last week for what I hoped was a great meal. What I found was the the old staff has been replaced, the menu changed, and the quality of the food drastically worse. Favorites such as Red Snapper have been replaced with Fish n Chips. The quality was about the same as Captain D's. The noise level was way too loud and the restaurant was severely understaffed as we waited for 30 minutes (With a reservation) even though tables were open there was not enough servers. I can't say that I'll frequent the restaurant again, which is a terrible disappointment. Obviously the new management it totally out of touch with the customer

Got there right as they opened, in fact, about 15 min before, so things were a little disjointed at first. Watched our waitress (partially hidden behind a curtain/wall) as she ate her dinner while we waited and waited for her to come take our order. When attending us, though, she was pleasant and helpful. Other staff lazily, and somewhat nosily rearranged nearby tables as we ate. Couldn't they have done that before opening the doors? Chicken flatbread was unbelievable - worth going back for - and the blue crab fritters were high in crab, low in stuffing. Salads were average. Looks like it has a lot of potential for a nice drink on the patio if you're willing to be a little ways off from the main downtown strip.

The food at Citrus was amazing! Even more amazing was the service! Don took care of our group as if we were personal friends of his. With two members of our group being vegetarian, Don had the chef create a special plate with the veggies they had on hand. Will definitely be coming back to Citrus!
