Diner Reviews
  • "Very quiet and great for adults who want to dine and have a conversation away from the loud, chain restaurants overrun with children. Service was excellent with a friendly attentive staff. Menu was somewhat limited."

  • "We learned that the owners of this restaurant owned the Ikaros(?) Greek food restaurant that used to be on Havana St. in South Aurora. This restaurant has a great atmosphere, all employees are very friendly, and the food was amazing! You can dine dressed formal or go casual, either way you'll have a great dining experience."

  • "Our waitress was fine, The humans, that we normally have was super small portion, and the steak was so tuff I sent it back"

  • "Its a decent restaurant, but very old school, and not what I expected. Probably ok for some folks, but just not what I like when I go out. It is nothing special."

  • "Good food, nice atmosphere, excellent service! I joined a dear friend I hadn't spent much time with recently and the overall experience was perfect for catching up, while at the same time having a lovely meal."

  • "Our entrees arrived before the appetizer we ordered for the table to share. The sea bass was very bland. Both of us who ordered it used every drop of juice from the lemon garnish to flavor it. One guest had to wait for flatware after his entree arrived, as the server took all of his flatware when he removed the salad plate."

  • "The Happy Happy Hour is super---one of the best in town. On busy nights, the sound level is too high."

  • "Went here specifically for the Pig Roast. Found it disappointing as not as good as expected. also there was a band at the entrance and music the entire time was very, very loud. Had to keep apologizin to friends who were here for the first time."

  • "Great for brunch, just a little pricey. The staff was very friendly and attentive. "

  • "Nice, casual place to meet post-run. They have a nice happy hour menu and a variety of salads w/protein options, sandwiches and appetizers on their full menu. Fried avocado was buttery and not greasy; our waiter was helpful, accommodating and pleasant."

  • "I took my wife and kids to the Mother's Day Brunch and was greeted pleasantly by the hostess. We were seated and the waiter stopped by and took our drink order and let us know we could join in to get brunch. We tried a variety of the foods offered - shrimp, crab, eggs Benedict, pastries, etc. The food was generally bland and generic. The cold dishes were decent, but the hot dishes were barely warm at best and cool in most cases. The only exception to the hot food was the made-on-the-spot omelette which was ok. Unfortunately my wife doesn't have as strong of a stomach as me, and later was ill with an upset stomach. She didn't feel well and had to lay down for a nap. I won't be going back and can't recommend this restaurant."

  • "Went for Mother's Day brunch. Restaurant was very busy, we were sat within 5 min of reservation. Waiter was very good. The carving station I felt was lacking. I had the roast and the lamb, both were very dry. The seafood (crab legs, peel and eat shrimp and steamed mussels were very good. Omelette station was awesome. Salad station was good although they didn't have utensils to use. Dessert station was ok."

  • "Six of us enjoyed brunch at Citron Bistro this past Sunday. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service as well. It is a wonderful place to enjoy a Sunday brunch and there are a variety of choices if you like eggs with bacon or sausage. Excellent waffles too. "

  • "We have dined at Citron Bistro numerous times but never realized that they offer an amazing Sunday brunch. We were welcomed with warm delicious pastries out of the oven and enjoyed our selections which included eggs, chorizo and guacamole. Will be sure to return for brunch again! What a delightful surprise!"

  • "This restaurant has a very good brunch. Wide variety and all offerings were fresh and tasty. Generally good service and waiter was friendly. Very nice atmosphere for family dining. We enjoyed Easter brunch and appreciated the ease of making reservations online. They also offered a courtesy reminder of your reservation, which I appreciated. Overall I would recommend this restaurant for a pleasant dining experience. The only downside for us was the host/hostess were not very welcoming when we arrived. Would have made me more inclined to return if we felt that they appreciated our business. The brunch was well priced for the selection of food on their buffet. Have not experienced this restaurant from a menu based meal."

  • "The buffet was always filled with fresh foods that ranged from shrimp and crab legs to hot roasts. You had a choice of meats, fish, chicken, salads, breads and deserts."

  • "We have been going to the Citron Bistro for years and its always our first choice for special occasions and holidays."

  • "This was Easter Brunch. Had reservations for 9:30. They opened the doors at 9:45. Food was average at best. Served shell on shrimp and crab legs with NO implements to shell them. Person carving meat did not know the proper way to cut beef. Servers tried very hard to please, but were intrusive. Were not schooled how to treat guests."

  • "It was my daughter's birthday and she requested this restaurant. While waiting for everyone to arrive we had a pleasure of listening to a nice jazz band. The food was excellent, as always. I love my Cioppino but someday would have to try something else. For the third time in the row we had the same server, Anton. He is wonderful. We were not planning on desert but he brought a dessert with a candle for her. Restaurant was full of people but was not noisy. And jazz was heard in the background but not too loud for us to have a conversation. We've been coming to Citron Bistro for a few years now and always have a pleasant experience."

  • "We arrived right after 2PM which was the ending of the breakfast buffet, but we were given the buffet menu. Asked the waiter and he said no we could not order off of it--that was ok, but why give us the menu? One person had the beef gyros which was excellent, but it went downhill from there. 2 children ordered the cheese sandwich--the older one got the adult cheese version which was soaked through with the soup spilled on her plate. Since the bread was really thick--soggy cheese sandwich. This was mentioned to waiter, he made no attempt to "fix" it. The tortilla soup was so salty neither person could eat it, this was mentioned to the waiter--he said let me "check" and only returned to the table to bring the check. Other food was just ok!"

  • "We enjoyed a delicious dinner of ahi tuna and Chilean sea bass which we started with a great appetizer called "Avocado Fries" with chipotle dipping sauce (pretty much what the name implies). Our server was great and we enjoyed choosing from a varied wine list. We'll definitely return again. Just wish they stayed open later than 10!"

  • "The food is fair I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and it was nothing to rave about, the girlfriend had the chicken tortilla soup which was basically enchilada sauce watered down. After requesting a quiet table twice to have a nice evening they staff proceeded to sit a table of 8 children directly next us. It wasn't Citron's fault the family was rude and couldn't control their kids, but had they followed through on my request it would have been more of non issue. Probably will not return. positive note the avocado fries were intriguing."

  • "My husband and I came in for brunch on Sunday and had an enjoyable meal. The French toast I had was good, but my husband's Southwest burrito was even better. Plus you can't beat $2 mimosas! Great consistent place that is reasonably priced."

  • "I think citron bistro is my favorite restaurant in all of Colorado! The staff is friendly, outgoing and are dedicated to providing a great atmosphere. Live music at least once a month that is fun and interactive. Food is amazing and you can beat their happy hour quality and prices."

  • "Citron was celebrating six years. Special meal prices and jazz for the night made a enjoyable night. The Citron usually has a special event every month which is worth going there for."

  • "I have lunch monthly with three of the women from my church choir. We found the service excellent. Our waitress was very helpful with our selections. The food was excellent whether it was salad, sandwich or entree. We really enjoyed our visit to Citron and will most likely return here later this year."

  • "First night of 4280 week, place extremely busy and wait times were long. However, we chose the Prime Rib dinner over the special offerings and we were not disappointed. Very, very good and reason we went there."

  • "I took my wife to Citron for a date night and was not disappointed. It happened to be the third Saturday so they had live Jazz music. This set the scene as well as thier specials. We arrived early in order to take advantage of thier Happy Hour specials. We had some drinks then decided to order diner and from the time we walked in to the time we left, our experince was great. Will be going back soon."

  • "The food was excellent, perfectly prepared and the prices were very reasonable for this kind of cuisine. The service was actually very good up until the end, when there were two separate mix-ups with our bill. That sort of thing can happen anywhere, and they were good about taking care of it."

  • "From previous reviewers we weren't expecting much in the way of ambience at Citron, so we were surprised at how lovely a restaurant it is. Bigger than the name implies, I was expecting a small bistro but the dining room seemed quite spacious. Lovely fireplace as you walk in, great place to sip a cocktail. The bar was very lively, we checked out the bar menu and that would be a great option for a place to meet friends and have an inexpensive dinner. We were there on Valentines so there was a special menu, I'd like to check out their regular menu. Nice oil/olive tapenade for dipping your bread to start the meal. Every course was very good and we especially liked the creme brûlée Napoleon for dessert. Worth seeking out."

  • "We ate here for Valentine's Day. The service was outstanding. The drinks, appetizers, and dessert were amazing. We had the chocolate souffle cake and the creme brulee, and they were both amazing. However, some of my green beans were a little cold and my steak was lukewarm when I received it. Other than that, it was great."
