The menu has plenty of choices for every taste. The chopped salad speaks for itself with fresh flavours. Our party had the Buttermilk Chicken, the Shortribs, and their Famous Meatloaf. All meals were tasty with good accompaniments and large enough for good appetites.

The restaurant and our server was very good as was the appetizer(chopped salad) but the main course not so. I had the meatloaf and while the portion was very generous the meat was dry. My husband had the short ribs which were a bit dry and the parsnip puree was cold. This was our first visit so I am not sure if this was just a bad night or if this is the trend but considering the prices I don't know that I would be willing to give them another chance considering the amount of restaurants in Scottsdale.

This restaurant came as a recommendation from a local. The Olt Town area is again hot and vibrant. This place is LOUD inside with just conversation. But the food is worth being deaf for a few hours. The pork belly literally melts is your mouth. We shared the meatloaf and the buttermilk chicken. The meatloaf is soft and light, not dense and heavy like moms. The chicken was right on done and flavorful. The one down side I found= they use a lot of salt in prepping and cooking the meals. Would we go back? Yes, but probably a lunch because on the noise. The food is to die for!

Go for the food but don't expect to be able to have a relaxed conversation, at least not on a Friday night, the noise level is ridiculous. The piped-in music and bad acoustics make it all but impossible to carry on a meaningful conversation. The food and the service were fantastic but our dining experience with friends was seriously impaired by having to scream at each other due to the noise level. Asked to have the music turned down but management refused.

The food was great, as usual (recommend the short ribs and the negroni). However, the service was below prior experiences. Waitstaff seemed to be delayed at all turns given that it took 20 minutes to get drinks and another 40 minutes just to get dinner. Also, the waitstaff sat down at another patron's table and proceeded to carry on a conversation while we were waiting for the dessert menu. Needless to say, we didn't stay for dessert.

We were there on Halloween night. The restaurant was busy, and it appeared to be a very happening spot for couples and for groups. The noise level was pretty high, but not overwhelming. The service was flawless... Great waiter! We had the famous chopped salad and it was delicious. The waiter even gave us a printed copy of the recipe. I had the tuna starter which was two big pieces of tuna on a bed of delicious black rice. My husband had the short ribs with a tangy barbecue sauce on the side. He would have liked more mashed potatoes than they put on the plate, but he'd like more mashed potatoes no matter how much they put on the plate. The food was great and the evening was very enjoyable and I'm sure we'll go back.

We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be returning. I had the short ribs on mashed parsips. Totally awesome dish. I would never in a million years believed that mashed parsips would be so great, but they were perfect. My wife got the chopped salad with chicken, she loved it. My friend got the meatloaf, and his wife got the chopped salad with salmon. Both thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We all split the cup of cocoa dessert and all loved it. We are planning on returning this week. Only negative is the sound level in the restaurant. Very loud.

Food was great; service was above average, but……………………..the noise level was way beyond "energetic." The actual physical structure of the restaurant needs some serious, acoustical re-design. Our experience was woefully diminished by this factor; like trying to enjoy a fine meal while attending the finals of a World Cup Soccer Tournament. I will only return if I can be assured of a somewhat quieter outdoor table which at best, is just minimally better than dinning inside. Would suggest the owners shutter the place for a few days in order to install effective sound-proofing.

Not surprising, it was only the chopped salad. I ordered crab cakes as entree, they were not lump crab cakes (well, my bad, they did NOT say it was lump crab cake) just some cheap crab cakes. My friend ordered the coffee rubbed beef short ribs for main course, the cut was more like the lean cut of brisket, crunchy on the outside, very dry. The food was almost a total disappointment. Honestly, go for the chopped salad, nothing else.

While a little noisy, atmosphere was quite nice. Our server (sorry, can't remember his name) was outstanding. Was well versed on the menu, attentive, and had a good personality. Very welcoming. The food was delicious...chopped salad, pork belly pastrami, mac and cheese all outstanding starters. Short Rib, Scallops, Grouper, and Meat Loaf all tasty entrees...and the apple bread pudding with bacon dessert was surprisingly awesome...like eating a rich french toast with bacon and caramel...yum!

Based on a recommendation from family, we dined here in Oct. 2014. We were told that we must have a barrell-poured drink and the Chopped Salad and neither one was a disappointment! The Chopped Salad is enough for 2 to share. We also had entrees of the pork chop and the scallops and both were delicious; probably the best scallops we've ever had. Our server was very attentive and helpful. We ended the night with a chocolate dessert and coffee. Great atmosphere and experience.

The food was fantastic; things most people are familiar with (ribs, scallops, salad), but with a really flavorful and unique twist. I went with my husband - we are both foodies - and we really enjoyed the whole meal. I didn't notice a loud noise level, we were able to talk to each other just fine and in fact, the place has a fun energy and vibe. The service was great and we will definitely go back.

I wish I lived in Scottsdale because I would definitely be back. The food was delicious, specifically their original chopped salad. Drinks were tasty as well. My only wish is for them to change their french fries - they put something on the outside that makes them taste mealy and they need more flavor/salt. Overall, though, we had a wonderful meal and great service!

Went for restaurant week to try out a new restaurant. Enjoyed all of the food except their bacon popcorn. It had a good flavor but also had too many hard kernels. The quality of the popcorn was not there. We had their chopped salad and scallop entrée. Loved both. We had a brownie sundae and it was not something I would get again. I was very disappointed in the ambiance of the establishment. It felt like an unfinished space. Also, did not enjoy the noise level and it was not busy so can imagine what it would be like on a very busy evening.

We journeyed to Citizen Public House for AZ Restaurant week, our second time, and brought along first-time friends. We had Gary as our server again, and let me tell you, he's still awesome. Top 5 service experiences I've had here in the Valley. Everything from the crafted cocktails to the meal was incredible. Though on the pricier side, this is a must-try, along with it's sister restaurant, The Gladly.

Reserved 10 year anniversary here through Open Table. Went early to check out bar scene and, upon announcing ourselves to the hostess, were ushered to our own private table. Hostesses were whispering among themselves while looking at us (which would be odd and a little rude, but..) as they turned us over to our waiter Sam. Sam escorted us to the farthest table in the place which had the best view and was actually 2 tables pushed together. Simply put, we were wined and dined the whole visit. Ended with a special dessert and champagne on the house! Great place, best service (possibly ever), and very attentive staff! Thanks to Open Table and Citizen Public House!
