A word from Cirella's Restaurant & Bar
25 years at this "bustling" Melville hub for both "business meetings" and " family celebrations," "gracious" hosts make folks "feel welcome" as they dig into "large portions" of "delicious" Continental and Northern Italian Favorites. The first to turn a veal chop into veal parmigiana and the first to offer sushi at an Italian Bistro "crudo" Italian Sashimi. Sushi Chef Alan Kim ranked 3rd best sushi on Long Island. The Cirella family owns and operates restaurants in some very unique locations. When shopping Cirella's @ Saks 5th Ave in the Walt Whitman mall. When hitting the Beach Surfs Out in Kismet Fire Island and when traveling to Florida Cirella's in Bonita Springs Fla. Each Restaurant is managed by a family member which means you can always find a cirella around "our family serving yours" has become our slogan over the years. Become "al la familia" ONE OF THE FAMILYContinued

Diner Reviews
  • "I always enjoy my dinner at Cirellas! The shrimp parmagian is my favorite. We go here frequently and we always leave happy."

  • "First time dining here, 8pm on a Saturday, & every table was filled, a lively crowd. Seated immediately. Room is fairly packed in w/ tables, & noise level was LOUD, but we didn't have a problem hearing each other. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Odd that the menu includes sushi, but our friends told us they had tried it on a different visit, & it was very good. We all stuck to the Italian side of things, & we all raved about our dishes. Grilled octopus app & salmon entree were full of flavor, cooked perfectly & fully enjoyed! Great, friendly service from Bonnie. We will definitely be back soon."

  • "Service was friendly, comfortably personal & attentive. Food was outstanding & wonderfully prepared. The negative is the tables were WAY TOO CLOSE together. Our wall table couldn't help overhearing every word of the tables next to us' conversations, and they couldn't help overhearing ours. It wasn't very comfortable. My friend was telling me his occupation and the woman next to us asked him questions about his business for her son's career. The table on the other side asked about our food choices. Granted, it was rude of them to ask, the point is it was like we were all dining together at the same table, uncomfortably. The seating left much to be desired. Please don't ruin your wonderful food & service for crowded tables for more profit!"

  • "Cirella's food is always excellent. They have different types of Italian food too - not just your standard chicken parm, eggplant parm etc. Service is excellent and very professional. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food you get. Have been going there for years and will continue to do so."

  • "I've been coming here for years & never once had a meal I didn't really enjoy. The Veal Parm is truly the best you'll ever have...& fit for Fred Flintstone. Plan on taking some home. The sushi (who's ever heard of sushi at an Italian restaurant?) is absolutely superb-better than many sushi places. Try the sashimi. It melts in mouth. Only issue is how loud it is. Otherwise, go & enjoy!"

  • "Food . . . plenty of choices. Today, I only rave about the boneless short ribs & branzino, from our last visit! And, if you like grilled/charred octopus (appetizer) . . . don't pass up Cirella's. Service . . . our server was most attentive, while also attending to other tables. The wait for the food was hardly noticeable, between courses; even though there wasn't an empty table in the house."

  • "I am not from the Melville area and was visiting my office there for a business meeting. I found Cirella's to be be very close with good reviews. The food is delicious and service was prompt but a little cold when we stuck with only water. The other disappointing aspect was the restaurant required valet parking for lunch. I can understand for dinner but in my opinion that is outrageous especially when they did not even move my vehicle from the spot I parked. Also Cirella's website makes no mention of the valet parking requirement."

  • "I have to say, I am not one to ever complain about a dining experience, but I was so disappointed in Cirella's this past Saturday night. Our waitress was very pleasant, but after we placed our order for a bottle of wine and a few app's, she disappeared. Had to wait an hour to order our dinner and once it came, it was cold and just plain terrible. In addition to the food and service being horrible, it was jam packed, the tables were on top of each other and extremely loud. I hadn't been there in a couple of years and in the past it was always enjoyable, however after this past dining experience, I would never go back again. :("

  • "Cirellas is a neighborhood favorite. We've been going there for over 20 years. The food is great and portions are generous. Nice decor, energetic bar scene (although not a "pick-up" place at all). You will always see someone you know there, and we like that. Service is very good and there is valet parking. We highly recommend!"

  • "This was a business dinner. We were pressed for time and the server had everything coming out at a comfortable Pace. Food was yummy as always. Prices are reasonable. Never had a bad meal here."

  • "Had a quick light dinner with friends before a show. Six of us at a smallish table -- good thing we ordered either small entrees or salads, there wasn't room for much else! And I could have easily picked a couple forkfuls off the plate of the woman immediately behind me -- we were almost rubbing shoulders. Ah, if maxing out the seating helps moderate the prices, so be it, I guess. Very tasty food as always, and good-humored service. We'll be back."

  • "The food at Cirella's is excellent, prices are reasonable and the portions are large. That being said, it is way too noisy on a Saturday night. Too many tables are pushed too close together. Frenetic energy distracts from a nice meal. Go on an off-night."

  • "The best part of our dinner at this "italian" restaurant was the sushi appetizer we had. My pasta w/pesto sauce & scallops was swimming in oil, came with only 3 small scallops. My husband got the veal medallions & it was pounded out, not medallions at all, seemed like it was microwaved - overdone - no flavor except for garlic. The ambiance was nice but very tight, tables right on top of each other, the tables are so small plates had to be juggled around. They did take a complimentary photo of each couple and then gave it to us during our meal and also gave me a choc covered pretzel at the end of dinner but not one to my husband which I thought was a little weird. Really the only good thing I can say is that I didn't go home stuffed..."

  • "What a wonderful restaurant to go to for Valentine's Day! Romantic, excellent Italian food and incredible all-around service! We started off with a fresh jumbo shrimp cocktail, a crisp and delicious Caesar salad, followed by the traditional penne ala vodka, loaded with prosciutto and a chicken dish, Pollo Valdosta, a breaded chicken cutlet that was cooked perfectly (I don't really remember anything else about this dish as my wife ordered it, but I do remember that it was one of the best tasting chicken cutlet I have ever had). Fantastic pour on the drinks too! They even had a little photo session going for all the tables for Valentine's Day and presented my wife and I with a photograph of us enjoying our dinner. Simply superb!"

  • "I've been coming here for years. The food is always nice. As they said in the Godfather "try the veal. It's the best in the city". You've never seen a Veal Parm like this! On the bone perfection. But the real find is the Sushi. I know, who'd order Sushi at an Italian restaurant? I'd have never even consider it, being something of a Sushi snob. A friend said it was "amazing" so I tried a little sashimi & a small roll. Wow! Unbelievably soft, tender & fresh. Cirella's gets 4 Stars because while the food is consistently good, it's very noisy & the service is not up to par. They work very hard, are friendly & accommodating, but short-staffed & therefore a bit slow & hard to get a hold of. Still, these shortcomings are not enough to keep me away"

  • "We were a group of nine that included an infant, a toddler, a senior, foodies and a Birthday Girl. Cirella's exceeded our expectations for the evening! Offering us additional choices just for our group, not on the menu. We so enjoy that the menu includes wonderful Italian family favorites AND their special take on sushi! The wait staff was patient and kind with our undeceive group and recommendations were right on point. I don't want to tell specific menu choices because you really need to try it all. But I will say one word-- seafood! The evening ended with a super special birthday surprise Ive never had at any restaurant. Lets say dessert was astounding!"

  • "We had a pre-theatre brunch that was very good. The service was very attentive, only falling short when we asked for our check. It took almost 15 minutes to receive it as I'm assuming the waiter forgot about us until we asked again in frustration. I hate for that to color our experience there which was otherwise very good for food, service and atmosphere."

Great service with friendly attitude. The menu is a really good mix so diners can eat whatever they want ( not just sushi)."

  • "Cirella never disapoints. We have been coming here for many years and it is consistanty a good experiences. The servers are professional but not stuffy and the kitchen puts out great italian food and even sushi from their own sushi bar. We went this new year's eve especially since they weren't doing the shlocky restaurant game of charging double for mass produced catering type menus that most other places do. Instead we had the same options and prices that are there every day and they even had hats and noisemakers for everyone to get in the spirit. That is why I will continue to come here for personal and business meals."

  • "I took my former intern to Cirella's for lunch on December 24th. Lunch was moderately priced (approx. $40 for 2 meals, 1 coffee, 1 tea). This is a nice place to go for a business lunch, a date or girls night out. It has a nice ambiance and the food is very good. The service was good as well."

  • "The food and service were very good. the tables are too close together. the wait staff could not get around the table, they needed to reach over us to pour water or place the food down. Since the table were so close the noise level was high."
