"The service is impeccable and matches the atmosphere - gracious and professional. While memorable, with views of the gardens, and beautiful decor, I wouldn't call it warm and inviting. However, if you're looking for the perfect special-occasion place to gather, this is it. The food was excellent. With 6 of us we nearly covered the menu and all choices were great."

"Disappointed.
It was Saturday lunch and they were serving a buffet. The food selections were less than inspired. Lots of cold meats for sandwiches, salad bar and cold pasta salads. Three hot entrees available - of beef and fish, there was very little left in the serving dishes. The Cornish hen was totally gone. No one was re-stocking hot dishes. Table service was inattentive. No wine list. Empty dishes not picked up, empty iced tea glass not refilled. It was just me and my fiance and we were seated next to a huge party of about 20 people - adults and kids, who were loud, up and down taking pictures, etc. At times they were standing with their backs less than 8" from us, thought they were going to bump into us while eating - very unpleasant"

"The venison chop was prepared perfectly, very delicious and fork tender. The duo of Berkshire pork was outstanding - very flavorful/unique. The brown butter potato gnocchi was enjoyed as a lighter entree. As always, the service was outstanding. Just enough attention, but not intrusive. A great restaurant for celebrating special occasions."

"We live in Hershey, but it is always a treat to get to dine in this special setting. The food is great, the resturant beautiful, with a beautiful view. We were celebrating our first anniversary and we got to enjoy a fantstic sun set."

"Our last visit to CDR was very nice, however several of the selections were not as appealing or palatable as on previous occasions. We reserved the final brunch seating, so that may have made a difference as well. Also,the week's menu selection was not posted online, so we were all set to be surprised when we arrived."
