This was my third experience at CINE. The first time was with my husband as we were checking it our for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. We loved the atmosphere, quality of the food and the excellent drinks. You can tell that they use only fresh fruit juices in their alcoholic drinks. Excellent! The rehearsal dinner was perfect! Everyone loved the food, drinks and the venue. Our server managed all 26 people with a smile and nothing was ever too much for her to handle. The food was timed to come out right after the speeches and we couldn't have been more impressed. This last time, my two sister-in-laws were with me and it was their first time there. They loved it, as well, and we all agreed that we'd be back again!

Really great special with all you can eat tacos for lunch. I liked the pastor the best, but many were good. Service was a little slow getting food out from the kitchen, even though there weren't too many people there. Good beer on tap.

Having closed her restaurant in Wicker Park, I would have expected this restaurant to be more refined. The food was above average-not great, but the service was awful and the ambient noise was too high to allow normal conversation. We had a tasty ceviche and a selection of good tacos, including the special barbarcoa. The tequila cocktails were good as was the house salsa. The food came painfully slowly and our server seemed to forget about periodically. The waiter mistakenly kept our credit card and I had to return to retrieve it the following day (partly my fault). Overall, the food was good... But these trendy spots are a dime a dozen and the staff needs to do better if they want my business.

We had wanted to try this place and didn't have much time because we were headed to a movie. It was crowded, but we got right in with or schudeuled reservation time. The waiter was very busy and it took a little time to get our drinks, but our food came very quickly. The waiter was friendly and helpful. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were good. My husband had steak tacos and he liked his meal as well. The chips and salsa were very fresh and flavorful. I did have the Mexican coffee was hot, but kind of weak. The white sangria was good. Overall a good experience. I would go back for sure.

Had a great impromptu lunch right in town at this fun spot. Best watermelon margaritas ever! Modern décor reminds me of the Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas. Top notch quac and salsa - - fun choices for lunch and dinner and great atmosphere. Staff is excellent and made us feel welcomed and we left with a smile on our face. I'm lucky I work minutes from CiNe and can't wait to return.

The food was fantastic - 100% home made and unique. There are multiple vegetarian options (great for me) and loads of other unique, home made dishes. I had the veggie fajitas and they made it spicy with jalepeno salsa. Meal was excellent. The salsa with the chips was home made and excellent as well. Our waitress was very friendly. The ambiance was very interesting and well laid out. It used to be an old movie theater. As my wife and I were on the way out, we were looking around and admiring the architecture and detail of the ceiling - a gentleman (presumably the owner or manager) offered to show us around and gave us a quick history of the building. Overall, great evening with great food at a great location. Will go back again.

The margaritas are good but overpriced. The food is really bland. We ordered a burrito and tacos, neither of which were flavorful. We had to put so much pico de gallo on the burrito to make it edible. We will not be going back here.

I would recommend the special - nice change from your tacos or burritos. Food was delicious and waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the menu. The front section of the restaurant was a little noisy, maybe could use some curtains, but there was a quieter section in the back. Love the decor too. Fun place and house margarita's were great!

Old movie theatre turned restaurant has a great look and feel. Been to quite a few Mexican restaurants but this one tops the list. This was the second time I have been there... Last time we sat outside and there was a problem trying to get a waiter. Same thing happened this time... My husband and I sat for about 10-15 minutes before we finally asked who our waiter was. The waiter we got was very good, but I do feel they need to at least come over and introduce themselves when we sit down. I realize they are busy, but at least acknowledge our presence. We were ready to walk out..the food was pretty good, but with a tip was close to $100 for two, and for Mexiican food I felt it was pricey... We only had two drinks .

I'm very picky when it comes to Mexican food! I'm so very particular about my cuisine and my favorite mexican restaurant has always been Rick Bayless’ restaurants. But now there is chef Luis at Cine in Hinsdale. The food was amazing! My husband had the Cine Steak and I had the salmon. Both entrees were boasting with flavor! The cocktails were great, not overpowering as the mango margarita was a nice summer treat. The only thing I could say that was sub-par was the slow waitress. Although she was new to the restaurant industry, she would leave our table for too long a time frame. Cine has changed for the better since it first opened with much better food now and they’re more accommodating. We can't say enough about it!

I was very surprised of the new menu changes they made. I remember it used to be more of a french fusion but now is more of what you expect of Mexican food. Don't take me wrong, it was good before, but now you can order with more confidence. I am a meat eater and I had a combo platter with filet mignon and jumbo shrimp. My wife had the Veracruz fish and it was off the wall. The drinks are also very well balanced. I had a drink made with Acai liquor and tequila and I can still taste it. My wife had the Watermelon margarita and she also loved it. Dessert was also very yummi I am a tequila aficionado, and their tequila selection is quite impressive Our server did a great job with suggestions and overall we never felt rushed or forgotten

We moved from the city 3 years ago and the thing I miss the most is the restaurants. Cine is the best neighborhood mexican restaurant in our area. We went hear with another couple and sat outside. They did a great job on the interiors of this place and the way they sectioned off the space. The outdoor area is well done, it is between another building so you are not staring at a bunch of cars on the street. Our waitress was great (wish I could remember her name) and the food was very good. We started with the chips and quacamole, had the ceviche trio and I ordered the shrimp tacos. Definitely worth trying this restaurant.

The food was exception, while expensive for Mexican food. I had the burrito and enjoyed it - although it came with fries, which was surprising. The drinks are very good and I loved the sangria. Our waitress was so friendly and provided wonderful service and always with a smile. I would definitely go back. Just a little word of warning. It is VERY loud. We asked for a table in the back so we could hear each other but wouldn't have stayed if we had to sit in the front.

My date and I dined at the bar area and we had such a blast trying all the different cocktails. The mixologist, Luis is a master of his craft. Our favorite drinks included: 1. The hand shaken CiNE margarita. we can have it made with any tequila, fresh hand squeezed lime juice, simple syrup, and triple sec. WOW! THE BEST OUT THERE! 2. The watermelon marg. the presentation with a spicy/sweet rim was outstanding. I could taste the freshness of the watermelon - no fake/artificial mixers here 3. White sangria - Made with passionfruit puree- it is slightly sweeter than the traditional red sangria. I want to come back and sit out on the patio and sip these all night! The gauc, avocado fries, and flautas were awesome as well. We will be back!

My husband and Grandmother-in-law came here for dinner! It was absolutely awesome! This is my second time here and the menu was a bit different, but all for the better. The drinks were excellent! My margarita was prefect, not to sour not to sweet. The guacamole was yummy and I also got the quesadillas and they were so warm and filled with the prefect amount of cheese! My husband got the fajitas and he loved them. He is a picky eater and if he likes something you know it is a good place. The servicer Eva was wonderful, very polite and didn't miss a beat on awesome service! I will definitely be back very soon for another great experience.

Our server, Steve, made it a perfect evening for my friends and me. He brought our drinks and proceeded to give us the history of Cine. He obviously knows it and the chef's strengths well, so we were comfortable asking him for suggestions. He came through for all of us! I enjoyed the chicken crepas, which I'm still dreaming about. I was with a group of friends I hadn't seen for awhile, so needless to say, discussion was non-stop! Steve suggested we put our bottle of water on the end of the table at any time we needed service, rather than have him interrupt. Nice social skills!

Our server made great recommendations, was super kind and funny, and very prompt! The food was (as every time we've been) just excellent- so fresh! The guacamole, quesadillas, tacos and enchiladas are amazing! And a kids menu too... Bonus!! The dessert, and the 'on the house' churros for the Dad's were so yummy!
