  • "Love the upscale food and outdoor dining area. Friendly service. The ceviche is one of a kind, delicious. The margaritas were perfect."

  • "A bit easier to bring the kids with the slight change in menu. Still has some of the more adult friendly fare, too"

  • "My date and I dined at the bar area and we had such a blast trying all the different cocktails. The mixologist, Luis is a master of his craft. Our favorite drinks included: 1. The hand shaken CiNE margarita. we can have it made with any tequila, fresh hand squeezed lime juice, simple syrup, and triple sec. WOW! THE BEST OUT THERE! 2. The watermelon marg. the presentation with a spicy/sweet rim was outstanding. I could taste the freshness of the watermelon - no fake/artificial mixers here 3. White sangria - Made with passionfruit puree- it is slightly sweeter than the traditional red sangria. I want to come back and sit out on the patio and sip these all night! The gauc, avocado fries, and flautas were awesome as well. We will be back!"

  • "My husband and Grandmother-in-law came here for dinner! It was absolutely awesome! This is my second time here and the menu was a bit different, but all for the better. The drinks were excellent! My margarita was prefect, not to sour not to sweet. The guacamole was yummy and I also got the quesadillas and they were so warm and filled with the prefect amount of cheese! My husband got the fajitas and he loved them. He is a picky eater and if he likes something you know it is a good place. The servicer Eva was wonderful, very polite and didn't miss a beat on awesome service! I will definitely be back very soon for another great experience."

  • "Our server, Steve, made it a perfect evening for my friends and me. He brought our drinks and proceeded to give us the history of Cine. He obviously knows it and the chef's strengths well, so we were comfortable asking him for suggestions. He came through for all of us! I enjoyed the chicken crepas, which I'm still dreaming about. I was with a group of friends I hadn't seen for awhile, so needless to say, discussion was non-stop! Steve suggested we put our bottle of water on the end of the table at any time we needed service, rather than have him interrupt. Nice social skills!"

  • "small portion hangar steak tacos were boring...entrée portion looked more like a tapas...double tortilla shell not really necessary...chicken nachos were plentiful but the majority of the chips were soggy from the black beans piled on them..both food products were served pretty much room temp...."

  • "We had a wonderful dining experience at CINE in Hinsdale. We went for a Father's Day lunch, and couldn't have had a better time. To start, the service was excellent. Our server made great recommendations, was super kind and funny, and very prompt! The food was (as every time we've been) just excellent- so fresh! The guacamole, quesadillas, tacos and enchiladas are amazing! And a kids menu too... Bonus!! The dessert, and the 'on the house' churros for the Dad's were so yummy! We'll be back tons- a greet neighborhood find that works for foodies and families alike! :)"

  • "Thirty dollars for 3 little tacos and one glass of sangria? Really? Maybe ok but the was maybe one teaspoon of filling in each and the taste was not good. Would not go back. Too bad. Nice location."

  • "I was very disappointed in Cine on my recent visit. This was my third and my last time. My first experience was on Valentine's Day and it was great. I thought this would be my new favorite restaurant. I went back another time with a girlfriend and it was good, but the service was kind of slow. My last visit was on Friday night at 7:30. Our group of 5 ladies sat outside and were pretty much ignored for the first 15 minutes. No water, chips, silverware...nothing. We flagged someone down and they apologized, however, it didn't get better. It really was disappointing. The food was ok, but overpriced, especially the margaritas at $13.50. Upcharge for sour cream for our tacos???? Really???Unfortunately, I have to say "adios" to Cine for good."

  • "Cine used to be on of my favorite restaurants in the western suburbs.... until they changed their menu. Now it's just your standard mexican restaurant menu and it's not as good. I loved Cine because it was unique and had a different spin on traditional mexican food. The salsa trio, cine margarita, and carnitas quesadillas were some of the best things on the menu and now they are gone all together or changed. Please bring back the old menu!! "

  • "I have been there twice and have been very satisfied with the food and service. Very nice selection of tequila and superb margaritas. The food is above average with interesting menu. The resturant is lively but not over the top. Nice decor not typical piñata Mexican. I will be returning ."

  • "Chef Yanni is gone. Food quality is down. Way down!!!!! If you're just looking for upscale Taco Bell, this may work for you. If you're looking for the Yani/Rick Bayless experience, forget it. "Mexican" vegetable side = broccoli and cauliflower. Steamed! Way!!!!!! overpriced for what is delivered. The owners know better. Shame on them for this restaurant!"

  • "This restaurant has a modern look that is very appealing. The basic Mexican fare (enchiladas, burritos, tamales) were competently prepared but nothing special. The soup of the day - cilantro cream - was outstanding and we will return to try some of the specials and more upscale offerings."

  • "Our experience began with the hostess who treated us as an inconvenience. She needs to be better trained or dismissed. We were seated at a table for 10 despite being a party of 5, twice, because we asked to be moved the first time. There were plenty of other seating options, and we were expected as we had a reservation. Our waiter, while attentive, failed to recognize we wanted to linger over the meal, and repeated asked to remove our plates. We will not return. "

  • "This is a hidden gem! The Owner/Manager Daniel comes to the tables personally. The food has a Latin/Mexican flair with flavor, texture and taste to WOW the taste buds! Great find for us in Hinsdale when you cannot go downtown to Chicago go to CINE! If you are not familiar with what to order try the Combo get the steak or chicken taco, a soft flavorful tamale & beautiful chicken tinga mole enchiladas wrapped with crepes instead of corn tortillas...Excellent overall. Oh, try the chocolate lava cake it has Mexican chocolate in the middle which has a little cinnamon and other flavors and the Warm Churros always are ready to eat!"

  • "We had a great server and delicious food at CiNe. The restaurant is a little noisy for conversation, but manageable. The only downside to our evening was that our meal was very slow to arrive. Will definitely eat here again."

  • "CiNE has a great selection the traditional Mexican food with the modern flair to it but it also has a completely other section that comes from a French inspired chef so some of the dishes are a little off the beaten path of what you usually look for with Mexican but variety is a good thing right?"

  • "Had dinner there over the weekend and overall it was pleasant. The salsa was terrific, but warning, the taste stays in your mouth for hours! 4 out of the 6 dishes we had were very good; we mostly did appetizers. And the service was terribly slow....so if you're in a rush, this is not a good place to go. So slow that we ended up cancelling the last dish we were waiting on because we were no longer hungry after 15+ minutes after the initial round of food. We would go again to try a few other dishes that sounded good and with plenty of time to sit around."

  • "Good food. Enjoyed the appetizers, esp the fresh guacamole. Chicken fajitas were tasty. Had enough for lunch the next day, still delicious. My dining partners all enjoyed their meals, too: carne asada, fish tacos and hanger steak. The special margaritas were wonderful. (pineapple, mango...) Only complaint was that we, a party of four, were seated at a large table, straight in from the door, and we were freezing! We had to keep on our coats through part of the meal. We had reservations, wish we'd gotten a table off to the side."

  • "This was our second trip to CiNe. First with a group and this time with another couple. Both times the food, service and experience were great. Excellent Margaritas!"

  • "We went here to try new local places. Walking in it had a great vibe, lighting, music. We were excited for the potential, but once we started eating the disappointments began. The drinks were super sweet. The sangria was carbonated, and bland. The chips (store quality), and salsa were OK. The ceviche was overly sweet (there is a theme here) and had zero acid or citrus. My wife's Tacos were OK. My Carne Asada was a disaster. First its a full-sized steak rather than the flat one you'd expect. It didn't have any seasoning, was topped with super sweet onions (again, a theme), and sat in a 'chimichurri' sauce that tasted like EVOO mixed with parmesan and herbs for color. It wants to be upscale mexican but you need food to go with the atmosphere."

  • "While the food and service was good. It was over priced. The margaritas were three quarters ice. Not worth the nine dollars they are charging. Hard to get in and out of the booths. The décor upscale and inviting."
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "Not bad, but not traditional Mexican food. They attempt to put a spin on traditional dishes but don't hit the mark for those who like Mexican done in a more traditional way. A little pricey for what you get."

  • "We found the service to be inatentive at best. We had to ask for chips and water for our table. Food quality was overshadowed by the consistent lack of quality service. The various drinks were excellent however that service was also marginal. I am hoping that this is a one time experience and perhaps if we elect to go back we will have a better experience. However, given the number of high-quality restaurants in the area and in Chicagoland we doubt that we will venture there again."

  • "We enjoyed our dinner at CiNe and especially appreciated the servers recommendation for a smoky sipping tequila. We chose to sit in the bar and probably wouldn't do that again because it was very loud and the acoustics made it difficult to hear my dining partner who was just across the high top table, a couple of feet away. We will definitely return"

  • "Being It Was A Busy ''Ocassion'' Day'' It went Very Well, Didnt Wait More Than 10 Min For Our Seating Under Prior Reservations, Our Waitress Was Very Helpful In Our Appetizers, Dinner Selections, And Also Drinks. The Carnitas Quesadillas Where Mouth Watering! My Drink Of The Evening Was The Mango Margarita, Very Well Executed..It Was Not Tangy Or Acidic Like Most Places Have Them."

  • "The food was quite tasty and innovative.. The service left much to be desired.. We were there for 2 1/2 hrs!! I ordered a second drink and it took 25 min to arrive and it was wrong."

  • "It was good overall... appetizers were nice... chips and salsa were absolutely amazing... enchiladas were okay... i certainly have had better fajitas... meet was bulky, tortillas were very very thin..."

  • "The food was outstanding. The service, although very friendly, was SSLLOOW! This would be a no-brainer if you improved the time. Asked multiple time for various things. I acknowledge this is not your everyday tacqueria, but the timing and responsiveness to customers needs to be improved."

  • "My wife's was very good (to her). Mine was pretty lacking in flavor (the Chimichanga meat was extremely dry and bland), and we all had stomach problems after the fact. My experience here has been hit or miss. Service, however, was great."
