A word from Cin-Cin Wine Bar
Cin-Cin [chin-chin] is an Italian toast meaning "to your health."

Cin-Cin Wine Bar resulted from a friendship of a successful Bay Area local restaurateur and a former Google marketing professional-turned-sommelier. Don Durante and Lisa Rhorer developed the concept of Cin-Cin based on their passion for food, wine and the environment. Cin-Cin is a neighborhood wine bar for friends and family to enjoy food and wine produced by sustainable, organic and biodynamic methods. Cin-Cin is a place where you can nourish your palate with pure, sophisticated and intense flavors.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "We've been to Cin Cin many times. The food is always delicious and the cocktails and wine are terrific. Happy hour specials are beyond great Service is always attentive. The noise level is always the only drawback, but when the place is so popular, what can you expect?"

  • "Great wine list with various red and white flights. Small plates are excellent: we had the bacon/egg/frisée salad, calamari, wild mushroom empanadas and Korean tacos...we would order the same again but would like to try other items as well. Some reviews complain about the noise level, but we were seated along a wall and found it only moderate, and the restaurant was pretty full on our arrival. Has a welcoming, not stuffy vibe. Our server was excellent. Prices are not high for Los Gatos."

  • "Loved it, even back when it was Cafe Marcella. Service is great, the chefs are welcome to ideas to modify a dish. I will say that "open-table" website was weak; we got pushed out a half-hour, then when I re-logged, we were back at square one. Not CinCin's fault, just bad software. Still, it was a very nice dinner with my daughter; the atmosphere is neat, the customers are all cool. The service is top-shelf."

  • "Always consistent, always leave there with a smile. It's a bit noisy, and the food was great (but could be better - never bad, just not consistently excellent). Two wine choices were "out" - that was annoying, but the final selection was amazing, and 30% cheaper than the other choices. Waitress was very engaging and made the evening even more special."

  • "Let me start by saying the food is fantastic. Served up tapas style, every dish was a pleasure to sample and share. The noise is the strangest thing because you can't hear even the person next to you because everything is so loud but at the same time it doesn't seem like the people around you are being overly loud and there is no music. The acoustics make it difficult to enjoy the company of your fellow diners. Service was so-so. We rarely saw her and when we did she wasn't overly responsive to our requests. That said, it was a packed Friday night. I would come here again but probably not with more than a few people and certainly not on a weekend night."

  • "This was our 6th or so visit to Cin Cin and the food was shared among 5 of us this time. We appreciated the quality of the wine they list, and because there were 5 of us, we were able to justify buying a full bottle. We all enjoyed noshing from their small plates. The service was perfect. And they were full on a Tuesday evening - a sign that they are still popular in the neighborhood."

  • "We made an Opentable reservation and they sat us down promptly. We ordered off the late night Happy hour menu. Lavender martini was awesome. They didn't have too many veg options on HH menu and they ran out of the mushroom empanadas (which I was really looking forward to). But the rest of the food and the service were awesome!"

  • "Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. The ambiance was alright, I am really into interior decorations and the outside and inside of this place seemed a little bit dim, the furniture is kind of old or dark, not sure what it was actually but this place kind of reminded me of a cafeteria or an office. Walking by this place you might not know it existed without having looked it up before hand because it blends right in, there is nothing eye catching about it. I think that some new furniture, paint or lighting would really amp this place up. The food was pretty good, I really liked the Pinot Noir wine, I would not recommend the Happy Hour Malbec Wine though, it's just okay."

  • "1st time we had been here and we know the head chef, We wanted to make reservations so I decided to go online to try and make them and it was so simple and easy. Love that I could see what was available and can modify them if needed. Very easy and convienent for those on the go.. We arrived and the place was already pretty busy and cute place and we were seated at a great table for 2 not too many people around and the waiter was nice and we had excellent food and arrived right in between happy hour and had a Nice Lavendar Martini.. YUM.. Great place to visit and the service is excellent."

  • "We love this place! Amazing menu, perfectly cooked and presented food, great service, and a perfect retreat on those nights when we have a babysitter. We've tried a number of Los Gatos / Saratoga restaurants, but Cin Cin remains our favorite. Can't get enough of this place."

  • "We've been to Cin-Cin a number of times, for a romantic dinner and for dinner with friends. They've never disappointed. Really enjoyed the food, and they have an excellent wine selection. Our service has always been outstanding. Friendly, helpful, and attentive. It can get a little loud with the open floor plan and the people at the wine bar are often a bit louder than people at the tables."

  • "The two of us were looking for good food and wine and found it here. The small plates were perfect for the light meal we wanted. The mushroom empanadas and shrimp and grits were very tasty and the wine flight we chose meshed perfectly with the food. Other dishes tried were the citrus marinated olives (great) and the calamari that were nicely fried but the sauce was a bit bland - more flavor please. The special key lime pie for dessert was a bit heavy and the lime flavor could have been more pronounced. Several adult birthday parties nearby raised the noise and excitement level. Service was very nice and quick. An excellent meal and we will be back."

  • "This has been our go to restaurant to date nights for many years. It was wonderful before chef changes a couple years back, and the owner was always present and welcoming. The past few years it has become more of a question rather that a certainty when choosing our date night restaurant. The service is not personal, and honestly we do not feel like anyone cares if we are there or not. The waitresses and waiters in the past had a strong knowledge of the menu and wine list, and we welcomed their suggestions. That has not been the case during at least the last year. Having said that, the food is still very good, nice ambiance and good energy."

  • "Cin-Cin is the perfect place to enjoy great food and drink in a relaxed environment. Every plate is delicious and balanced, and beautifully presented. Our waiter was outstanding - took great care of us in drink and wine selection, and cheese selection. He was attentive but not too attentive. We will be back, and it can't happen soon enough."

  • "Our daughter told us we had to try Cin Cin's happy hour plates and wines. We did and ended up staying for dinner too. Very nice intimate atmosphere with friendly fast service. We visited Cin Cin to celebrate 42 Valentine Days together. It was a great place to dine and we will be back. Dinning on a Monday night was a special treat with half off bottles of wine."

  • "The presentation was outstanding and the dishes were well spaced and brought in a timely manner. The server was attentive as was the staff. The only negative issue is an elevated noise level. I wish the dining room conversation could be muted to allow a normal level of conversation at the table. Perhaps sound absorption panels could be added to the walls. The menu options are wonderfully diverse and tasty and the wine selection is amazing."

  • "Excellent Wine Flight with recommended tuning from the waiter. Also enjoyed a glass of the House Blend. We enjoyed the mushroom empanadas which were excellent as always (It's the butter and cheese), the seared Ahi, and the excellent ceviche sampler. The ceviche with the scallops and pomegranate seeds was the best. Also had their signature bread pudding for dessert which was amazing also. My only complaint would be the noise level was on the very high side for this Saturday evening, but we were there at the prime 7PM time."

  • "With a 5:30 p.m. reservation on a Saturday night, this place was already packed and very boisterous - we were shouting at one another in order to be heard. We were a party of six and ordered many samplings from their Nibbles and Small Plates to share with one another, plus a bottle of wine. Our waitperson was attentive and friendly. Fortunately, I had a $100 gift certificate that was used towards the evening's ticket. The foodies were delicious but way too pricey for their size. We will not return but thanks for the experience."

  • "Cin-Cin looked great when I found it online, but the subsequent experience was even better! A very intriguing wine list (we enjoyed a Pinot Noir from Macedonia!). The food was excellent...we purposely ate very slow to enjoy all the wonders the kitchen had invested in our dishes (Ahi tuna appetizer, salmon large plate, farmer's market vegetable medley, and the gem lettuce salad). I will definitely go back...and have already recommended Cin-Cin to friends who enjoy a really, really great wine and dining experience."

  • "We went to Cin-Cin to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Los Gatos was jammed that evening and parking was extremely difficult. Even the neighborhood side streets are restricted to resident permit parking. We finally found a street spot several blocks away. Once inside, the restaurant was packed, but we were seated immediately (we did have a reservation). Initially I was a little put off by the seating. They were tall bar type seats at a very small table. We were seated very close to a table of 8 loud men, which wasn't optimal, but what can you do? We were right next to a window, which was nice. The food is very good, esp. the small plates Service was polite but rushed. We had to ask for clean plates between courses."

  • "The food was great but pricey. We ordered an appetizer (dates) which were wonderful and 4 small plates with cheese for dessert. They all tasted great, but we didn't come away full. If you want to get filled up, you've got to spend a lot!"

  • "I had to park a bit further from the nail salon I go to and I wound up walking by Cin Cin. It turns out that my husband had also just recently heard about them so he was more than happy to join me for a Thursday night to check them out. Our waiter was fabulous and gave us plenty of time to become aquainted with the menu. He was also informed of my food allergy (noted with Open Table) and put me at ease with what was being used in the kitchen. We enjoyed mushroom empanadas, truffled french fries, braised beef short ribs and Cin-Cin diner sliders with the date night & smooth and supple around the world red flights. With plenty of intriguing items on the menu and the wine list we will be going back to Cin Cin soon!"

  • "I brought my parents here for dinner. The crowd was much younger than I thought it would be. It was very loud, but, we stayed. The food was excellent, as usual. I think I wouldn't bother sitting at a table next time. It felt more like just one big bar really. My folks had fun anyway. But, we needed to shout across the table. And I thought it was expensive for the lack of ambience..."

  • "Although we probably should have known, we were disappointed with the very limited New Years Eve Menu. The restaurant makes its name on a eclectic mix of small plates. On this night, we were scrambling to find something we likes. We started with he lobster bisque which was under-seasoned and not served hot enough. We then moved on to the Pesto Gnocchi which was by far the best dish of the night. Great seasoning and gooey good. For the entrees, we ordered the vegetable risotto, which was just ok. The flavor was not bursting as one would hope with a risotto. We also ordered the scallops served on top of creamed corn. The scallops were cooked perfectly, but also lacked seasoning. We have always loved Cin-Cin, but not on this night."

  • "We love Cin Cin. We have beem going there for years. It is a very social restaurant. The owners are very personable and always welcoming and accommodating. The food is delicious, with lots of unique and yummy flavored. We always receive excellent service. The wine list is varied and notable."

  • "Sub-standard food for the price. Miserly portion size. Not very accommodating for vegans/vegetarians. Good wine list but the flight I purchased was horrible. Service without a smile. Paid extra for bread - really - and it was actually the best part of the meal."
    Dined on 12/27/2013
  • "Once again, we had a wonderful meal and enjoyable, well informed server. Unfortunately the kitchen was really slow, and there was over an hour wait between our order and any cooked food arriving at the table . Just due to a late holiday evening? Hope so."

  • "My husband and I first visited Cin-Cin as the guests of our dear friends who happen to be frequent diner club members. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves so much so that they treated us again to another dinner, this time to celebrate our anniversary. To our surprise, the waitress served us complimentary glasses of champagne. She also applied the points to our friends' account since they gave us the gift card. The food, wine, and welcoming and relaxing atmosphere made our experience very enjoyable. We are considering signing up to be club members ourselves and look forward to our next visit."

  • "This was my first visit to Cin-Cin. The wine, food and service were all quite good, but the experience was marred by a very loud, large party next to us. There was one person who was particularly obnoxious. I suppose you cannot blame the restaurant for this, but at some point you would think the manager might step in. I will go again, but closer to 6 pm in hopes of avoiding the noise. I did find an amazing red wine that I had not tasted before. The soba salad and mushroom empanadas were delicious!"
