  • "We had a little wait before being seated. Seated at only table with big red velvet uncomfortable chairs next to kitchen. That was the only negative thing. Our waiter was great and personable. Prix Fixe menu had something for everyone. The food was presented nicely and cooked perfectly. The pina colada cheesecake was the best Ive ever had. Just when you think you're done they bring chocolate dipped stawberries. YUMMY! We left stuffed."

  • "We went there to celebrate out son's 10th birthday. We have been there before and went back because we love the service, food and ambiance. But once the staff heard it was my son's birthday, they could not stop finding ways to make him feel special. From Megan greeting us and of course Tommy, the consummate Maître D, to Alexys and our server Ashley, our experience was the best we have ever had there. They ended up the meal with not just a special birthday dessert for our son, but a hand written birthday card signed by the staff. The personal touches and recognition are what had us coming back before, but this time was over the top! They consistently go out of their way to make each dining experience exceptional."

  • "We made a "spur of the moment" getaway up to Tahoe for some skiing. We made early dinner reservations to try their prix-fix dinner. It was our first time at Ciera and we were amazed. Amazing service, amazing ambience and amazing food. From the hostess to the wait staff excellent attentive service. My wife ordered the lobster bisque and filet mingnon and molten chocolate cake for her prix fix. Each was excellent especially the lobster bisque. I had the rack of lamb off the regular menu. Excellent again. We would definitely recommend Ciera for special occasions or a romantic evening while in Tahoe."

  • "Wonderful dining experience. The lobster bisque was excellent as was the filet mignon. Our server, Ashley, was great-attentive without being pushy or over familiar. The noise level was pretty high but there was a large party in the room and that contributed to the noise. Definitely will recommend the place to friends and will gladly go back."

  • "Absolutely hands down our favorite overall fine dining experience! We had a server, servers assistant and they were excellent! Our food was delicious and they cooked my bfs cowboy ribeye perfectly medium. It was giant and amazing! The oyster were also super tasty. I told them it was my boyfriends birthday beforehand and they reserved a romantic private booth for us, gave him a card and rich chocolate lava cake. They also gave us free chocolate covered strawberries on top of a beautiful dry ice display. In addition, they brought over 3 typed of homemade warm bread served with 3 different flavored butters. The cranberry walnut bread was superb and desert like. We will definitely come back!!!"

  • "I took advantage of Ciera's special $30 coupon to take a friend to dinner for her birthday. Three fantastic courses served by an A+ waiter. Every course was delicious and filling and cooked to perfection. My friend was very pleased, and she remarked that the cocktail she ordered was the best vodka collins she ever had. The only negative was the lack of acknowledgement of her birthday, even though I sent an email to the restaurant ahead of time. Otherwise, it was delightful."

  • "For romantic dinner, my husband and I really enjoyed the restaurant and our waiter and bus boy. I had the best time. We sat at the table booth with red curtain. If we wanted privacy, they can close it for us. We loved it. I really recommend this place and we will definitely go again and ask for the same waiter we had (JOHN). He was the best!"

  • "We dined here with six people taking advantage of the prix fixe menu. We were seated promptly and served by three different staff members throughout our meal. They took care of us and answered all of our needs. For the price the prix fixe menu cannot be beat. I had the French onion soup, filet mignon and chocolate lava cake. I also tried the cheesecake. Food was served properly. Had great flavor. The steak came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. All cooked to perfection. The soup was hot and had good flavor The lava cake was SUPER chocolaty. Wow chocolate overload. I have dined here several times over the years and each time the quality and service has met its mark. Great job"

  • "It's spendy for what you get. While we did take advantage of a local's 3-course for $30, it's still expensive if you add wine and perhaps another appetizer. The offer was a deal compared to their regular prices, but it's nothing special. We had an above average filet, but the accompaniments were boring (baked potato and steamed vegetables). Some people love this place, but I would rather go to Friday Station at Harrah's across the way."

  • "Ciera compares favorably with top steakhouses in any big city. Steak au poivre, veal chop, and rib eye were all high quality beef carefully prepared. Side dishes and desserts also worth the money and calories. Good wine list, especially California reds. Ask about wine specials -- we got a fine Cab at 25% off. Helpful, warm, unpretentious service. Comfortable room with plenty of space between tables; over 50's might want to pack a flashlight."

  • "This has been one of our favorite restaurants when we are visiting the Tahoe area. Once again it did not disappoint. We are from San Francisco,and this restaurant certainly has the food and ambience of the best steakhouses in the city. Once again,we enjoyed their New York Steak,and found it to be the equal of Harris' restaurant here in San Francisco ,which is always my top choice for a good steak."

  • "We took advantage of the $30 price-fixed menu, and was not disappointed at all. We were a party of five, three had the fillet and two had the salmon. Servings were sufficient for the three big men in our group. Everyone enjoyed the soups (one said that the lobster bisque was the best ever tasted) and the desserts were over the top. And of course the chocolate covered strawberries were delicious (a holdover from the old Caesar's Broiler Room). What a great value. We will definitely go again when we are in Tahoe. This was our first time going to the restaurant after the change in names and while we still miss the halibut, it was still a hit."

  • "The service and food was fantastic. Luckily we were almost done when two big parties (8 each) were seated by us. They were very, very loud, obnoxiousing laughing. It was not the proper place to act in such a behavior. My husband and I, who were there for his birthday, could not even hold a conversation without raising our voices. It is in a casino, but the prices are very steep and you would think it would have a better atmosphere. Again, the food was great an the servers were fantastic. I just wish that the parties would have acted appropriate or have the manager advise them to keep it down for the enjoyment of all."

  • "As usual, our visit to Ciera's was perfection! Food, service, ambiance - all were perfect. We actually took advantage of the 3 course, $30 special that runs Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until December 12th. What a fabulous deal. The selections available were incredible. We tried two different ones in each category and they were delicious. Our server was attentive and helpful. And, best of all, we were able to have a nice conversation without having to yell over other diner's conversations. It was an experience you used to have at fine dining restaurants years ago."

  • "We (two) went out for a nice dinner to celebrate a special event and could not be more pleased. This is not a value dining experience, but the food and service were both fantastic. We had the Chateaubriand for two and added the twin Australian lobster tails, with sides of asparagus, truffle mac and cheese and white cheddar scalloped potatoes. We topped it off with a chocolate soufflé. Our wines were a bottle of Geyser Savignon Blanc and had a bottle of Silver Oak Cabernet Savignon with our dinner. Two thumbs up...more if I had them."

  • "My husband and I went here for our anniversary. I used Open Table to book a same day reservation as well as requested a private table for dinner. When we arrived we were led to a totally private cushioned booth with curtains which was just perfect. Food was good but expensive. This restaurant won for wait staff, ambiance, and extra effort they put in to make the evening special such as a anniversary card and chocolate lava cake. We would recommend this restaurant without a doubt."

  • "If you order a pre-dinner cocktail, be prepared to be hammered by the time your appetizer arrives - the martinis are eNORmous! So are the meals. Giant juicy pork chop, baked potatoes you could mistake for a regulation NFL football and a creme brûlée like a stack of 20 CDs. Easily the best steakhouse at Tahoe. (However, the hotel above this joint leaves something to be desired - eat here, but don't stay here.)"
